In law you take your victim as you find them. For instance, if a blind person was to walk past the sign that says no entrance and fell down a hole, or was to trip on an unfinished pavement or road way the contactor would be liable. Just saying.
Man ive got so much respect for you, you must have balls of steel, even the Police can stop you, i was asked to do a flight over a site by the site project manager to give them an aerial view they were so pleased they asked me to do there second site, and the fact that they dont own the airspace above there property is something that pees them off thanks for your great video. 👏👏👏👍.
As a property-owning consumer every drop of rain that falls on my property belongs to the water authority. If I store and use that water for any purpose the water authority can charge me for it as the law says that it belongs to them. If the same law applies to corporations then Cadent should be paying for the rain water they use. There was a story going around a few years ago about a farmer who dug a water reservoir that was supplied by the water that drained of his land. It filled up during the winter and in the summer he used the water to irrigate his land. The water authority charged him for using that water as it belonged to them. He counter-charged them with using his hole in the ground to store their water and asked them to remove their water from his hole. I never heard the outcome....
What he should have done was after they failed to remove their water he should have irrigated his land with it and then charged them for the costs in doing the irrigation plus added a fee for health and safety supervision of removing their water for them.
About 15yrs ago when I was still huge into RC vehicles, I traded a nitro buggy for a drone with camera. While it was reasonably fun and very interesting, I did get bored with it. I sold it to a buddy of mine that owned a roofing company. I’d helped him occasionally with his work, so saw the immense potential for a drone in his line of work. I called him up, and met with him. At the meet I showed him how easy it was to fly, then showed how the drone could do roof inspections for him without ever climbing a ladder. So he bought it. 15 yrs later he has upgraded the cheap drone I sold him to a very fancy model with the most amazing camera system I’ve ever seen. The zoom and detail is mind boggling. I like the way you combine the 2 types of vids in your audits.
Quite a mix of personalities in this one, even within the individuals themselves! Security guy seems like he was just supposed to watch the goods on the road and/or stop VEHICLES from coming down, I think they got confused that their sign said Rolls Royce vehicles only, no public access, thinking it meant no pedestrians but it really meant no vehicles (cuz they wouldn't be able to get anywhere through there). Then Wooly guy comes out and he seems pretty cool, then he starts saying he can't walk down there on the footpath, then after a bit of tooth-pulling, he gives a very good description of the water deal and sunlight deal and walks off nicely. Other guy starts complaining that he's flying a drone but it wasn't looking at his stuff and then refuses to talk about what he doesn't want seen. But meanwhile, he's wearing a mask (although that might be because he doesn't want to be recognized) whereas Wooly is coughing into his hand and then possibly offers to let DJ shake it. Then, when he sees Masky has stopped the police, he comes up to Bobby and starts crying to him that DJ wouldn't leave his property when he did! New guy comes in and starts talking to DJ and then expects him not to record him while he's talking to him! And Dj points out that they're wasting their time, they're probably getting paid the equivalent of hundreds of dollars per hour and they're wasting it harassing people.
One of your best mate. Excellent blend of storyline, characters and situation management sprinkled with humorous pertinence. You're doing a great job, keep it up. 😊
Dj you're great at this. You managed to turn it around from a potentially messy situation with it all kicking off and police etc and ended up having a good chat with that security guard about the place. Really interesting stuff to see. Thanks for always staying so calm and collected and upfront. Other auditors really could do with learning a thing or two from you. Watching angry security guards get wound up gets pretty boring quite quickly when everyone is doing it.
40 minutes of fascinating auditing 👌 the drone footage is so good. I am always shocked at how the police are on the side of landowners and businesses against the public
@@Jester-Riddle Agreed, but English common law is not though , that is practised in all English speaking countries in the world. Based on the Magna Carta, it's all about victims and harm. That is the whole point of all these videos it's the show people who work in these places and the police that they haven't got a bloody clue about the UK law

I always find it amusing/alarming when people wearing hi-Vis jackets, try so hard to flex on members of the public, trying to get police to inforce laws which don't exist and seemingly get let down/upset, when they are informed otherwise. Why would anyone try to get anyone banged up cause they're filming? Those with little opinions of themselves is one reason I can come up with. I'm a plumber and a grey water pipe system does have a filter matrix it's reverse ausmoses if done correctly. It's was mainly designed for toilets but that was 15 years ago, now you can retrieve the recycled water to the point of it being used for drinking, if the company wished too

Fair play to the copper, he wasn't "belligerent" or tyrannical and was relatively pleasant and probably told the guys from the companies that he couldn't do much. And fair play to the site manager for Cadent when he switched on to a subject he knew something about he was quite informative and pleasant, he was only became belligerent over subjects he had little knowledge of. :-) And as for the MTC guys - what absolute dickheads.
Spot on. MTC are next but they don't come back out, that's a good thing for future photographers I guess but we do meet a Swan and see a very nice Pond. I just had to publish the MTC video.
The plod was well above average really. Admitted he didn't know the relevant law, didn't suggest DJ didn't, de-escalated. Alles gut!

Nah, the copper was a low-key tyrant. He didn't conduct himself impartially. He sided with his corporate overlords. He also wanted to know if it was the auditor's vehicle so he could run a check on him.
@@terrybunch7313 Oh I agree with you, but compared to many others he projected a lot better image than many others. As for the siding with the corporate overlords, that's more the fault of the staff in the control room. All incidents are graded and they are grading corporate calls higher than ones from the public, probably even when the public have just been mugged.

So sad that people have to call the police for someone acting in a perfectly legal manner, even sadder that the police respond to such calls.
But they don't respond to real crimes.
I'd have called the duty officer and asked why a unit was dispatched and the reason.
Clearly wasting the police time which is an offence if no crime is being committed. The security company should be fined.
You cannot call the police out on 999 if life is not in danger or a crime is being committed.
Get the recording of the actual 999 call and demand action against the security nobhead.

@@paulwatling5400 Yes they do . Dont believe everything you read in the press .
@@Awakend7 the call to the police might have said ' there is a suspicious looking bloke going around filming " . In public that is quite legal , but if someone is suspicious and the police attend it can all be cleared up . Simple. Are they supposed to ignore calls from concerned members of the public ?
In law you take your victim as you find them. For instance, if a blind person was to walk past the sign that says no entrance and fell down a hole, or was to trip on an unfinished pavement or road way the contactor would be liable. Just saying.
Interesting education on harvesting rainwater from McKaren. Love the drone footage in your content.

they dont own the airspace above there property is something
that pees them off thanks for your great video.
DJ Audits are the only auditing videos where I don't fast forward to the police confrontation. That says it all. A serious compliment.
Thanks, I also enjoyed the video.
One of your best mate.
Excellent blend of storyline, characters and situation management sprinkled with humorous pertinence.
You're doing a great job, keep it up. 😊
Imagine that, people are allowed to do what they want without someone else's permission
Thats fuckin outragous
Dj you're great at this. You managed to turn it around from a potentially messy situation with it all kicking off and police etc and ended up having a good chat with that security guard about the place. Really interesting stuff to see. Thanks for always staying so calm and collected and upfront. Other auditors really could do with learning a thing or two from you.
Watching angry security guards get wound up gets pretty boring quite quickly when everyone is doing it.
Looking forward to the MTC video! Thats going to be a good one too.
Enjoyed the drone footage. The guy on the roof looked like he was on his phone. I wonder if he was watching DJ Audits. Lol 😆
I think some of them will from now onwards. 🤣🤣🤣
Could that be breaking expectations of privacy as he was on the top of a private building not visible without the use of a drone?
40 minutes of fascinating auditing 👌 the drone footage is so good. I am always shocked at how the police are on the side of landowners and businesses against the public
English Law is based on the ownership of property ... matters concerning harms to individuals were an afterthought.
@@Jester-Riddle Agreed, but English common law is not though , that is practised in all English speaking countries in the world. Based on the Magna Carta, it's all about victims and harm.
All UK police swear their oath to common law and are called constables.
English law is about statutes passed from parliament.
The government should send a memo out to all these companies telling them what the UK video laws are in public

Did you like how the copper asked if it was your car.......why is there first priority to try and identify you. It's actually unlawful for him to identify you when you're not breaking the law.
