    I did it and it is the best, rides so sweet with that RWD fairing. now I'm thinking to sell the RGS131 and see what comes in 2023

    So sweet I am going to do this on my 2020 Lowrider S, and I am hoping that like you say it will fell like my 2020 Road Glide Special when I ride it. all I have to do is find a painter willing to paint the new RWD fairing for me Gloss Vivid Black, thank you for doing what you do here. your the man. also you feel like your sitting higher is because you have more substance in front of you but is still lower than your eye sight. again thanks for everything.

    I am totally into the fairing with the tinted windshield. You're right, you've got a badass sport-cruiser with one honey of a fixed fairing to help with long miles and harsh weather. The only bike I've had with a fixed frame fairing is the ZZR1200, and I commuted 110 miles (One way) three days a week through all the weather that coastal Nor-Cal could throw at me. I put a Gustafsson touring shield on it with the appropriate riding gear.
    You'll be able to ride all day and get that workout in, then hit the scene when you ride to Sturgis next time.

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn
      @FXDLSBrooklyn  4 роки тому +2

      Right? That's what it's all about. If I can't get my post-ride workout in, then what are we doing here?!

  • @hizacaine

    You feel like you are sitting higher because you are sitting higher. Less wind = better posture. Less hunching, less hanging on the bars, less fatigue, more sitting upright. You're in a more commanding position so you can see more and react faster.

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn

      Ok, that makes absolutely 100% sense. Thank you, much appreciated. Was trying to figured out that day why that was!

  • @jvillanueva2978

    youre sitting higher because youre naturally sitting higher in order to see over the fairing. Its a mental thing

    I think it would be interesting to see if there was a way that you could do product reviews on the multiple FXRT style fairings from JD customs, Villian2hero, Deviant Fabrications, Big bear choppers, etc. Not sure how that would work, but it would be a great resource to get all that info in one place on youtube since they all have different sizes/features to them.

    Looks great dude! I’ve considered one for myself, just worried about cutting down too much wind, as I like the wind on those super hot days we get down under 🇦🇺

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn
      @FXDLSBrooklyn  4 роки тому +1

      No trust me, after putting. 1000k miles on. it, it is still well over enough wind to be cool in those hot days. There's actually a guy who has UA-cam videos from Australia that has the same setup, I'll have to find and link his videos he could be a good reference

  • @tcard2008
    @tcard2008 4 роки тому +1

    Looks sick!!! I think the reason why you are feeling like you are sitting higher is because fairing is blocking the view that you are use to. Even though you are focusing three cars out your old fairing was allowing you a better field of vision now the the new fairing is blocking that field of vision you are use to so it is making it feel like you are sitting up higher on the bike. Since you have ridden a road glide and I would think you have ridden the road captains street glide can you do a comparison to your new fairing? What one do you think blocks wind better? Keep the killer videos coming!

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn
      @FXDLSBrooklyn  4 роки тому +1

      Absolutely Tom, that is a great idea - I rode his bike a few times on and off this summer, I can definitely do something like that!

    I think the gauges are perfect

  • @ianmckenzie4043
    @ianmckenzie4043 3 роки тому

    Your getting that “sitting higher” feeling because your mentally use to having more view of everything so your subconsciously sitting up more to try and get the amount of view your use to, if you lower your gauges enough to see through the top edge of the windshield on the fairing to the ground you will most likely sit more relaxed because you’ll subconsciously feel like you are able to see almost as good as you could before
