Coach, could you go over dealing with bottom half guard players who go to the butterfly half guard by default as opposed to the standard? I keep getting swept and leg locked from it
Love this drill. My favorite takedown is the polish throw/Kosoto gaki/step around throw. So I feel like I naturally tend to favor the head inside double leg with the knee block with the overhand setup. But it does feel a little more dangerous because I’m shooting to his power side. Conviction with the overhand helps with this concern. But Shooting to the outside does feels a little safer in that regard, but I feel with head outside, guillotine problems can happen. But In that case I’d run my body to the opposite side and just hit the knee block anyway like you showed in previous videos. I realize nothing is absolute in fighting, but Coach, is there one side you favor over the other? Specially for a taller guy (6’1”)? Seems like if opponent is square go for head outside, cut the corner finish. More bladed stance, head inside, step around finish.
I don’t favor one side or the other… I always suggest to deal with the problems as they come and take the path of least resistance. Always take what they give you!
Loving the MMA focused content, thank you!
Martial arts is cool with Coach brian

I’ve been doing this a long time . This is a great way to make it simple for new guys! Thank you!
By far my favourite way to double leg, easy to pull of attacking or defensively, Petr yan is very good at it
I wish this was my coach.
Dude same!
Excellent, thank you
Awesome mma drills. Thank you.
Thanks.
53 with a botched lumbar fusion but I would be training in your gym if you where in Miami, FL. You are awesome!
Cool, thanks! Can you tell me please some solo drills that help my takedowns?

Can you do a video on gutwrench escapes? In freestyle its just trying to stay on belly and ride the clock. But what about MMA or NAGA?
I hope to talk about it someday!
