YES!!! I love Gojira! The Duplantier brothers are awesome (guitar/vox and drummer). I highly recommend their songs Flying Whales (my fav), The Art of Dying or the Red Rocks live version of Pray.
Yes Kelly what a talented group of musicians. And once again great analysis on your part as well and I'm looking forward Sunday for your analysis of my suggestion for ensiferum Lai Lai Hei willinker 41 video version. Wintersun Alex in Texas ❄️👋❤️
Caution when exploring this band gets VERY HEAVY. Heaviest matter of the Universe is one of the most brutal examples. But, at the same time, songs like The Trails and Born in Winter are very gentle. This song is a perfect mix.
Start with a riff that's 🔥. Then give the drummer the flowers. Gives it space to breathe, then adds that syncopation making it pop. Fave Gojira song. And his growl tone is perfect. Strong AND understandable. Fave vocalist doing that now is Courtney LaPlante, Spiritbox. Soft, buttery clean voice yet the unholiest growls. And I can understand her! "Circle With Me" live one-take is a great dive in!
Here's my go to list of Gojira tracks that I recommend new listeners or reactors should listen to - but trust me when I say you can't go wrong. They're great live but some vids have poor sound quality, so only go on recommendations. Enjoy your Gojira journey! 3rd album: From mars to sirius - Flying whales (Gojira's signature track) - Where Dragons Dwell (youtube: live at hellfest 2013, a MUST see!!, don't miss out on this reaction) - The heaviest matter in the universe (very heavy) - Global warming (youtube: live studio) 4th album: The way of all flesh - The art of dying (legendary track) - Vacuity - Toxic Garbage Island - Wolf down the Earth / or / esoteric surgery 5th album: L'enfant sauvage - The gift of guilt (live Brixham academy) - L'enfant sauvage - Born in Winter - Explosia 6th album: Magma - Pray (live at red rocks only) - Stranded - Silvera - The cell /or/ shooting star (live at bbc, about the death of their mother) 7th album: Fortitude - Born for one thing - Amazonia - Sphinx - Another World /or/ New Found /or/ Grind 2nd album: The link - Embrace the world - Indians - Remembrance (live at Link Alive) 1st album: Terra incognita - Space time - Lizard skin / or /clone - Love (from 'link alive' ideally) Special: - Inferno (live studio, my favourite track, reimagined from a rare soundtrack album Gojira did called Maciste All'inferno)
@@KellysReactionsi think a more basic song is a fine introduction, you get to pick up on the emotion & musicianship without getting hit in the face with heaviness. It's a great song, just one of their simpler tracks. I have a go to list for Gojira reactions, I'll add them in another comment.

Why do people give the basic songs..
@@josephm6320 not sure. What would you suggest that is not a basic song?
Heaviest Matter of the Universe, Gojira best song for me
I believe these are solid starter songs for most of the audience, still good tho
