+Arthur Porter Hey there. No offense taken but thank you anyway for not being the other type of guy we often see. I was on 150mg daily of Tramadol for years due to chronic pain ... there were times when I took 150mg XR x2 daily. And one day out of the blue, it stopped working. Just like that. My new GP didn't wean me off because I was taking Cymbalta as well ... the two drugs show major contra-indications. I went into full hellish withdrawal for weeks on end ... drug craving, heightened depression, anxiety to name a few ... I will never forgive him for putting me through this. From my perspective, Drs aren't fully aware of the dangers and addiction potential. I later did some research and only found one study (if it can be called that) relating to a lady in the US or UK entering an emergency facily in full-blown withrawal aka Drug Discontinuation Syndrome. I would cite the source if I could remember it, but I can't. Perhaps search Tramadol + DDSyndrome. As I said, I only found one article unfortunately. Tramadol is a good drug for moderate-severe pain if used sparingly IMHO. The other problem relates to misuse. I understand that misuse is currently problematical in India. But anyway, that (in brief) was my experience of this drug. Maybe one day I'll use it again ... maybe. Thank you for responding! ✌☺

i have so much respect for you and what you're doing, man. The way you responded to my political nag on one of your videos recently just showed how you have CLASS (as in you won't just flame some random nerd because they didn't check the date on your videos) and it serves to, dare I say, PROVE, that you're willing to learn and accept new information all while being polite, earnest and respectful. A genuine, well-intentioned and nice human. Easily the most important traits a content creator could have in this field, by a country mile. Especially when you get into things in the community like elitism and stereotypical peer-pressuring to dose higher. As a 7 year opioid addict and decade-long drug-enthusiest, I can say I recommend your videos _so_ often when people ask me questions about drugs and drug combinations that it's kinda insane. And while I promote harm reduction, self-awareness and restraint because I don't want anyone else to go down the path of opioid dependance that I did, even if I don't think it's something that should influence the way you view someone who you may have found out to be an opioid user. We're just like everyone else! It's just our u-Opioid receptors need a lil more lovin'! If ANYONE ever needs any info on specifically opioid harm reduction and practice, from a 1st hand perspective, feel free to hit me up any time! I wish I had someone with knowledge like our boy Seth when I started my psychoactive journey. And SETH if you ever wanna talk to the archetypal, stereotypical face of the US Opipid "Epidemic", holla at me! I have been through it all - rehab, inpatient, outpatient, halfway houses, methadone maintenance, suboxone, relapse, all of it. Sorry for the rant - been using adderall to be able to get through my 10 hour shifts at work without wanting to end my own life haha

I figured this would be a fatal addiction because a person would be hooked both things and if you couldn't get tramadol exactly like you had got you would not be able to feel you receptors for the serotonin and for the opiate. I'll pray for you kid God bless you and good luck staying away.

I've never met anyone that abused Tramadol before I met my sister in law. She would take up to twenty in one day before we kept her in check and me along with my wife had to step in and keep her doses within a reasonable range. The day she ate thirty one time and we were surprised that she didn't die that day. Got her down to 3 every two days within a short period, and she is now off completely. She was nodding out on my couch and would get defensive when we'd wake her up. The day we stepped in was when she spilled her medication all over my couch and I was the only one who notice. She had been using it for years and had gotten really bad the past year. Now she's sober aside from her mj card, that I felt she should transition to. Psychedelics helped me get completely sober myself. Stay positive people and help your friends!

I have some tramadol for pain. I also have severe clinical depression. I've seen little effect from any of the dozen anti depressants I've tried but Tramadol makes me feel great. Not high mind you, but great. I can think clearer, feel better, no anger issues or mood swings. Sadly, it has a minimal effect on the pinched nerves in my neck or arm. Cool thing is the antidepressant effect lasts 8-10 hours even though the pain reliving part only lasts about 4. I take a delayed release 100 mg capsule every 12 hours and it takes the edge of the pains - but increasing dosage is not more effective. If I stop taking them I get brain noise - like electric jolts through my head and I feel cold and get goosebumps. From the far North West of Ireland - I have been taking Tramadol for years now. Maxitram 100mg capsules. Two capsules at night. I fractured my 3rd lumbar vertebra a few years ago. It's not so much painful now as stiff and it affects my mobility severely insomuch as I can only walk about 40 yards before I have to stop and rest a bit before repeating the process endlessly if I have somewhere to go. To be quite frank I am not really sure if these Tramadol pain relief capsules have any analgesic effect at all on me now being as I have been taking them for so long. I only know that about a year ago I stopped taking these capsules for two days and the withdrawal was truly dreadful. I actually felt that my body was trying to escape from my body. I know that sounds absurd and ridiculous but it is the only way I can describe how I felt at that time. I felt as if my body was trying to physically separate itself from my own body. Needless to say I quickly took the capsules again. I would have taken literally anything in front of me to stop the withdrawal pangs. So right now I trundle along with everyday life without ever wishing to experience anything like those withdrawal pangs again.

I normally shy away from anything that can have mood altering effects and a brief look for potential side effects encourage me to carefully use the tramadol during recovery. I went seeking additional information and ran across your video, taking a few screenshots to send to my partner of the potential side effects and we agree in my blind test. As a meditation practitioner, I discovered on my own about "overtly daydreamy and euphoric" having confessed to her I had spent most of the day whisking her away into an all day adventure from my recovery bed, pain free with an intensely great mood. Your video has provided me with good information that I can use to better manage my use of this medication. Thank you and my girlfriend laughed saying she knows it's just not the medication.

A local hospital was giving liver transplant patients tramadol, and they had to stop
the prescribing practice because of the high frequency of seizures in the patients. Seizures are a common reaction to liver transplants.

This in turn will lead to poor cognition. My source is The Brain and Behavior Foundation in NY. Thus, I am curious to know if any of you people here with a year-long history of opioid use still do as well at your jobs as you did prior to the opioid routine, or something that really cheers me up to hear, you do even better than before you started taking this drug. No benefits what so ever, opiods are weird. (was suicidal at that point of my life, don't worry though, my life is tremendous today😊)

I experimented with tramadol last year. Let me tell you, it was 10 hours of pure bliss. I started off at 100mg, didn’t feel much. 200 and music sounded and felt great, I felt pleasantly drowsy but not sedated and stayed up all night. 300mg was just pure euphoria. Tramadol, to me, is 100x better than oxycodone and hydrocodone. Still got nauseous asf tho 👌🏼

@@Uhhhhhyeahuhhhh Well yes if you are a good metabolizer with high levels of CYP2D6 (lucky bastards) then its quite a good effect, I've had some moderately enjoyable times on it even without Diazepam. What I meant is the effect is waste of time and goes nowhere, opium is a much more fulfilling and has more to offer. Tramadol is a bit too synthetic for me, but each to their own. Tapentadol is supposed to be a better version of Tramadol as its not a pro-drug, but probably has more side effects.

In my country it is commercialized in both capsules and drops forms.
My doctor prescribes 10 drops in the morning and 10 drops in the early afternoon. That makes 50mg. I only take every time I have those horrible back aches together with 10 mg Valium (diazepam) in the evening. In about a week I can fully function again. I have about 10 such episodes a year. That combination is a godsend. No negative side effects. It slightly lifts my mood while I am in pain which makes pain more managable. I just try to eat lots of fiber and coffee while I am taking it to counteract constipation.
All in all I would give it a 9 since it is obviously not perfect, but still pretty amazing.

Tramadol stacked with a benzo relieves alcohol withdrawal well. But I recommend professional care if you’re having hardcore DT’s. Nonetheless if you’re up a tree really bad after a multi -day bender, 100mg Tramadol and 1-5 mg of Ativan or Xanax will cut the cramps , pain, shakes and once the stack kicks in, get under fresh warm blankets. Tramadol and at least 2mg of a benzo will dramatically ease the pain and warming your body/ muscles helps immensely. If you are going through hell w/ alcohol DT’s 99/100 ER’s will hydrate you, get Ativan into you intravenously and prescribe Librium (another old school type of Benzo). Almost all hospitals indicate Ativan or Librium for DT’s and it is NOT due to compassionate care but rather as anti-seizure protocol. If you get a hardline doctor, just mention the word “seizures” and you’ll most likely get the script. Once you’re back to level do the right thing and STOP the behavior that got you there in the first place. There are only so many ghetto passes in each of us. 🙏🏻❤️
