One of the happiest nights of my life. I was so happy to have both my parents with me that night. They both sacrificed so much and worked so hard for me and my career since my childhood. Now that they are both gone, it means so much more to me! Happy 2016!

+Irene Cara Hi Irene! I looked you up only about 30 years later since Flash Dance was a hit and was wondering who that person was that was singing that song. I couldn't stop watching you sing that song on your videos for weeks! My favorite of all time is the one with Bob Hope in the stadium. That was perfect and loved the part where you pause and walk backwards flipping your head back. I must of seen that a zillion times! God bless you.

Celebrities from the 80s are, for the most part, out of sight, out of mind! Most of them are older than Irene was at her time of death. Sad to admit, we don't think about them anymore until their death headline. I don't have any of Irene's music on my phone, never purchased or played her songs. But, today when I read her death headline, I cried! There's always been something sort-of solemn about Irene. Look in here eyes! She was part Angel, part Artist!

Just heard the news about Irene Cara's passing. Another great 1980s artist I liked has gone to the great beyond. All my favourite artists from that era are departing to the great beyond. I am getting old myself life is fleeting my time will be up one day sooner now with each passing day and I hear news like this. Her music though and her performances will live on forever. This world is becoming more and more lonelier for me as people I like from my young days depart this world to the great beyond. The 1980s was a very special decade especially the early to mid 1980s where artists like Irene Cara had their heydey. Now all the great artists who were young in that decade who made it special are either now very old or passing away. R.I.P. Irene Cara.

Hi ! It's all very sad, such a dear and good singer left us, much too soon! I was 19 years old when I saw the film in the cinema, it shaped my time, it was the time when I got my driver's license, it was on the radio when I had my first driving lesson, I couldn't get up because of the beautiful song concentrate on driving, which made my driving instructor angry! :-)) All in all a very nice time, thank you Irene Cara for making us happy in the 80's with your songs. One of the best singers of the 80's has left us, Irene, you will always be in in our hearts and your music will continue to accompany us through life.
