      @@boomerang6130 on a Keto, Ketovore or carnivore diet, the HDL ( good cholesterol) will go up. LDL the bad cholesterol will drop. HbA1C will drop below 5.5-6.0 due to the lower carbohydrate intake. Triglycerides will also drop because of decreased carbohydrate intake. The key risk ratio is now accepted to be HDL:triglyceride, it should be at least one (or triglyc:HDL should be no more than one). Burger King switched from tallow to vegetable oil in 1979. I was operating the fryer, and remember this distinctly. We also changed the regimen to go from only filtering each night, to adding baking soda during filtering. I'm not sure if that was to alter the pH, help filter the burnt particles, affect the taste, or maybe some of each, but despite thick filters, the oil came out a bit cloudy compared to the tallow filter-only regimen.
    The restaurant owner was against the change and thought it was inferior. I noticed an 'industrial' smell to the vegetable oil that was present even in the first day's use before addition of baking soda in the filtering process. I, however, was influenced by the vegetable oil industry propaganda of the day, and thought tallow was 'gross', and that change was probably for the better.

    • @markiangooley
      @markiangooley 11 місяців тому +41

Dr Paul Mason have also reflected on this, as an example triathlete Pete Jacobs have higher blood glucose after training and somewhat higher even after high intensity.

      If you try carnivore for 30 days, your gut issues will most likely subside or even perhaps completely reverse! It may be the 🥦 & even the ingredients in the sauces you're using like sirarcha & the like that may still be irritating your gut. I speak from experience. There's hard core carnivore that's The Lion Diet (Beef, Water & Salt) for major healing. Try it. It won't need to be forever but it may just be the one thing you need to start healing your gut once & for all. Then you can feel better to try to start incorporating other spices or types of animal based nutrition. It's worth a try! It healed me & many others who have documented their health & healing journeys on UA-cam: Dante from Ferrigno Freedom, Kerry from Homestead How, then, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Philip Ovadia, Laura Spath & her Family, Bella From Steak And Butter Gal, Board Certified Nutritionist Judy Cho etc. Wishing you all the best! "I suspect it would take too long to see the potentially negative effects of a purely plant based diet.

      Probably not, especially if it contained sugar...

      @@btudrus I don't know - I suspect it would take longer than 30 days. Many vegans report that they "feel better" after starting a vegan diet, but it's likely because they are not eating processed artificial food.. For instance, fellow Brit "Bear Grills" went on a vegan diet for a while, and then he realised after a few months that his health was deteriorating by the week and month. And he is an ex-SAS military/survivalist person.

      He is so well nourished with all the eggs and meat so yes, it will take a lot more time for him to deplete his body with veganism. A well nourished body is programmed to easily fast for weeks and weeks. Long-term veganism is what destroys people

    Thank you for doing this experiment Dr. Ekberg. It's good to know how eating red meat affects the body. I also liked that you ate healthy sides and condiments. Also glad you didn't eat bread, so we can see how someone low carb and keto can see what to expect. Am so grateful that you put so much detail and effort into your videos. You really have made a difference in my healthy decision making. Hope you have a great day!

      I would have liked to see the difference when eating bread like a normal hamburger, even if thin bread.

      A compare and contrast is always good.

      @@mballer Did you mean to say... Hamburgers are usually "eaten" with bread, and not "made" with bread? I personally don't eat any bread. Period. When I order a hamburger at a fast food place I ask them before hand to eliminate the bread, or I'll just remove it and throw it away myself. Bread is just processed carbs containing empty calories. Real sourdough bread might be the best choice if you really need your bread, but you'll have to go to an artisan bakery to get it, or learn to make your own. It takes time to make real sourdough bread, and you won't find it on supermarket shelves.

    Would it be valuable to hold a second round immediately following the first, and see if the trends for the bloodwork continue (hence push out of ideal range, or display a trend if the food habit is continued for a longer period of time)?

    Bravo! Deep in my heart I've always known that 225 was my cholesterol number and is just MY number. It has been since I was a kid. Doctors and folks scream too high. Take medication. Thank you for breaking it all down in this video and making it easy to understand.
