Great answers! I had a lot of fun making a video tag response as well. I think I need some records by The Replacements in my collection. The 80s are a great era. I chose that too. Buzzcocks! Yes! So cool that you saw them live. Neil Young! I’ve been listening to his album, World Record a lot lately.
Thanks. Tim would be a great place to start with the Replacements, but so would Let It Be. I need to revisit World Record now that it’s been out a while.
Hi Todd thanks for doing the tag it’s appreciated👍.. yeah Ritchie is getting on in years he easily gets confused .. some nice channel shout outs … I predicted a couple of your dinner guests .. a great 90s classic. Thanks again👍
Thanks for the shout out! Great video. I'll put my vinyl tag 2024 video up later tonight. You picked what I was going to pick on the record everyone has...but I guess they are records that everyone has, so it makes sense people would think of the same ones.
I have that album Bulk and I don't think that I have ever heard anyone else talk about Jack Logan on UA-cam. Tom Waits would have some great stories to tell. I don't have that Twin Cities record but it is probably something I would grab if I saw it. Automatic For The People is indeed a 90's classic. Great tag.
Peter Jesperson talked about Jack Logan and Bulk in his new book. Didn't realize just how massive the collection of home recordings was that he pulled from to compile Bulk.
A beautiful tribute to Sinead on this. On a more positive note, a brilliant reminder I just need to pick up that craft reissue of Radio City that I see all the time for $25 that I consistently pass up. and yeah, ranking the NY albums is no small task, but that's such a great series. Great response and cheers on a great year! -Alex
Great tag. I remember when that Margo Price album came out early last year but for some reason I forgot about it. I gotta revisit it. One of my goals this year is to pick up all the 4 Replacements box sets that came out last few years. I just got Pleased to Meet Me. Tim (Let it Bleed edition) is on my list.
Try to keep up with Neil Young is next to impossible , you could fill a room with his stuff. I also loved the 80s as music was spinning in so many different directions. I loved the rise of college rock during the 80s. Great tag, well done
Thanks for the mention. I'm in Omaha, actually, but that was pretty close. Funny you mentioned that Spain record. I interviewed Josh Haden from Spain a lifetime ago. Interesting guy, used to be in an SST band from the 80s called Treacherous Jaywalkers.
Sorry, I should have known it was Omaha. When I was a kid my dad interviewed for a job in Lincoln and there was talk of moving there. So sometimes that gets stuck in my head. Or maybe it’s the Springsteen song. Cool you met Josh. They’re a band people seem to have forgotten.
Great tag! I always love watching your videos. I know I never comment but I’m watching. I was thinking Guns N Roses for my answer as a greatest hits album. I was also thinking Violent Femmes and I see someone used that as well. I better hurry up and make a video before all the good answers are used up. Cheers, Brian☘️
I bought several used Neil Young albums last year and was thinking to myself "maybe I should go complete on his studio output" and then found a list of his full discography and bailed on that idea.
i had a premonition you were going to say margo price "strays" (the female artist question) and you said it. interesting list. norman's endorsement means more than mine. i no longer have any records or a turntable. i saw westerberg at the fitzgerald theatre in st. paul and alex chilton when he put on a great show.
That's interesting you had a premonition about me showing that record. I might have been at the same Westerberg show as you at the Fitz. I can't remember if that's where he played when he did shows around Folker or if it was the State or Orpheum.
my brother lives up there and likes replacements and wilco. westerberg was still marred then and played "i've grown accustomed to her face" and was wearing a white suit!@@lostmixtapes
The Replacement's TIM is a top 10 all-time record. LOVe it.
Great video, as always. Thank you very much for the shout out! Much appreciated. Right back at ya!

Awesome 👏
Great picks. Thank for the shout out but twice 😬🥺😵💫. I think we had a couple of the same picks. Happy new years. Here we go …..
Thanks. Happy New Year! Good thing we have music to keep us sane. Or close to it.

Thanks for putting it together, Rob. They’re fun to do.
TIM is the greatest record of all time.

Great tag, I enjoyed your answers. Sinead was a sad loss.
Thank you.

Awesome taste in music, just subscribed

Hi, perhaps you've got a poltergeist attempting to steal your records🤷♀️. Love Cat Power sings Dylan. Happy 2024.
Happy New Year! I am missing a few records and it drives me bonkers every time I think about where they could be.

Looking forward to it. The Pixies Doolittle came to mind for me as well.

Tom Waits would be a great dinner guest. I was sure he said 30. I’ll pass on the camel birthday party.

Has the Tim remix been released as a stand alone record?
No. I don’t think there are any plans to do so either.
@@lostmixtapes That is unfortunate.
The Replacement's TIM is a top 10 all-time record. LOVe it.
