Preparation of flagpole base using ground tube in sand and finished with compass dial slab. Assembly of sectional 5 piece Yeshom flagpole. Installation of flagpole.
Great job and thanks for posting, I'm going to erect a flagpole in the next couple of months, I found the manufacturers online instructions quite bamboozling.. This video simplifies the process, Well done.
Hi. Thank you! I have been very pleased with the method I used in the video. It’s been up 6 months now and withstood some strong winds and gales without shifting. If you concrete the first section in the ground without a separate ground tube I think you may be creating a problem if you ever wish to repair or replace. Good luck with it.
WOW you make everybodys elses video look bad cause your hole is so perfectly round LOL. good video. Perfect idea for a finishing trim tha I plan to use now. You must be an engineer :)
This is super ott. All I did was hammer a 50mm pipe in the ground and twist it out then empty the innards out kept doing that until I was at the correct depth plumbing as I went. 5 years ok in south coast England it's been battered out all year flying a flag, still as good as the day I took it out to move house, did the same as my new place been up about 6 months exactly the same.
Hello from the USA. Great video! I have essentially the same kit and I plan to install it this weekend. Can you please tell me your thoughts on the advantage to installing the two sleeves? I've seen it done where one tube matching the pole i.d. is set with concrete. I've also seen a larger sleeve installed and then filled with sand and wedges.
Very informative instructional video. With the queen's jubilee coming up, I've been thinking about buying one on ebay which looks similar. I wondered how well the pole has lasted after 2 years? Thank you.
Greetings from Northern Ireland....keep that flag flying mate!!
Great tutorial. Cheers
Thanks to the BBC and BLM I have decided to install one.
No kidding! I'm about to do the same since the BBC has decided it hates everything British.
Bet your neighbors love it. Especially the no smiling crew. More power to you patriot.

Loving this Simon, soon as I get a garden, I’ll get a flat pole.
Excellent, I particularly liked the compass stone. 👍🏻

Hello from the USA. What a beautiful job of preparation! Bravo. Question: where did you find that beautiful large round compass base?

Thanks. The pole is doing v well thanks. I’ve had to replace the rope but apart from that it’s stood up to the elements.
Hi, can I ask why you use the two tube method? Why not just concrete in the sleeve into which the pole fits?
Beautiful.
Fab job
Have they moved yet then? 😷🇬🇧
Solid as a rock!! Stood firm in the recent gales. Hasn’t moved at all.
I would love my own flag pole but I just know my neighbours wouldn't tolerate it and would complain to the council about it.
Check if you need planning permission, if you don’t, fly your flag with pride!! :)
