      You have to watch when cranking the 250 to make sure you do not flood it. When mine rolls over or yanks back I immediately push it up to half choke and crank it up. It is a good midrange saw. It will easily handle 20 inch logs and anything smaller. The best part is it’s weight or lack thereof.

    Just stumbled across your channel, and from what I've seen if this video, you're pretty good with a saw. I personally don't currently run a saw smaller than the 391, though I have an 028 wood boss. The 028 was given to my grandpa, who gave it to my dad, and now I have it. It's all original mechanically, and I just put a new bar and chain on it last year. That said, it needs carb work finally. My main is a 661, normally with a 25 inch bar and chain, but I also have a 36 for it. So far, I've cut trees up to roughly 30 inches wide, and it hasn't bogged down. My plan is to get a mill attachment for it to cut slabs to help Kickstart my woodworking business.

      That’s awesome! We recently just got a 400c with a 25 inch bar and a bark box and it rips! The biggest tree I have personally cut with it was about 4 foot or more across. And I recently cut down a huge oak with it! Thanks for watching !

    • @WhackinAxes
      @WhackinAxes  2 роки тому +1

      The reason I went with the 250 is because the 251 only has one bar nut. That was weird to me and I don’t really trust it. I’m sure it will stay on there but it was just weird to be because I’ve never seen that before. Another reason is because the 250 has a quick detach airbox cover and the 251 does not. Hope that helps! The 250 has been an amazing saw!
