Beautiful Corvette? How many miles are on the car now? Keep up the good work!
I love the perilli PZero but these are cool too
I had the Pirelli pzero on my SRT challenger. I like these better for grip and cornering.
Great review, im enjoying these tires as well i have them on a Mustang good grip, it has given me the best 0-60 times than the others I’ve had before and the wheel hop on the stock pirellis was so bad that it felt like i ran something over no joke!
Always good to hear from another enthusiast
My car is new butis going to b a while before I nee tires but the time will come thank you for the review have to have them in my 2019 grand sport which by the way it’s the same color as yours silver blade isn’t the most beautiful color in the lineup I think so hides dirt pretty good. Great info. Stay well God bless
Rafael ,my color is sterling blue metallic. Is was only made for the first half of the year and was first time and last time that corvette was ever produced in that particular color. I have about 1000 miles on the new tires and really like them.
Thanks !!!
I getting the 02 today for my charger scat. Changing from the 4S's
What is the benefits of the new 02 tires ?
@@PGRRACER well it raining here in Dallas. And I would say the wet traction is really good
Update: let say you need a tire to race in the rain on a track day. This tire will get the job done and provide really good grip. The wet traction out performs the 4s hands down. Also we get 10.5 tread on these too. I will update again on the dry traction.
When is your next video? :D Keep it up! Would you like to be UA-cam friends? :]
thanks ! will try to upload at least weekly
But they are smaller
Absolutely gorgeous Vette! 💯🔥🔥🔥
Marvelous video.
I JUST got a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06’s... 2 weeks ago on my CAMARO, I couldn’t be happier.
This is the 1st Set of Tires after the Factory RunFlat GoodYear Eagle F1’s. I’ve bought Yokohama literally for every car I’ve owned prior. THIS was a great decision and I’ll surely buy MORE Continental Tyres in the future.
Glad to hear you like them I’m 2800 miles on mine and love the ride and grip
Well it's been 2 years....update?
@@MrJbro26 These Continental Tyres are absolutely amazing definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a set of Ultra High Performance Tires
Nice Ride. Wondering if these would make me smile after putting on my 2SS 1LE. Will not be driven in snow nor freezing temps either. My other option is PS4S but at $350 more or DSW 06 for $200 less than the Extreme Contact Sports you are discussing. It really doesn't matter if they last and wear well. Will not be tracking the car.
I can tell u that above 50 degrees I’m extremely impressed w the tire. Below 45 it’s a little slippery with wheel spin when hard in throttle . Above 75 and sunshine I have gotten my best 0-60 times at 3.8 w NO LAUNCH controls. And my grand sport is totally stock.
@@PGRRACER Thank you very much for the feedback. Sounds like a winner and would be a very viable option for me. Keep up the good videos
I have Michelin’s and that wheel hop is so bad ,it damn near pushes the car over 3ft! Damn!
I know it is a real problem but with the continentals it does alleviate the problem dramatically ,hope this helps
I think that is attributed more to the electronic posi traction in the rear at full lock more so than the tires. Just like turning a 4 wheel drive at full lock, one will notice wheel binding and hop. The non runflats would help of course.
beautiful car!
lol, trying to butter me up so you can drive it again ?
junk it , save yourself tickets ,gas and insurance costs
Pinkie Love bro who are you
Is that the supercharged z06?
I appreciate your review! I have a Corvette also, older but she pulls hard :D Could you comment on the wear? I'm set on getting these, just want an idea of how long they'll last w/ probably 75% regular driving, 25% spirited driving (like canyon runs) Thanks!
Hi really can’t tell u about the wear because I sold the car after about 3000 miles on tires. But during that time I had no problems at all. I will be posting a new vid soon of the new car and putting the same tires on this one too.
Conti’s all day long. More advanced and better priced. Balanced all season performance. I’m a picky mf and these tires are awesome in my performance car! When They say extreme contact Continental means it!
Thx John . I sold the grandsport and bought a ZO6. Few thousand miles later changed the runflats out to continental extreme contact sports and love them. AGAIN
Thanks guy, I think more people need to cover things like this when it comes to this vehicle. It almost seem like corvette was developed as an idea with no actual consideration for the REAL WORLD. A lot of things on this car just doesn’t make sense for its price tag or either demands to many compromises. In the end we all bought the car. But the C7 seems like a HIT thank god it’s misses are interchangeable
Thank you for the view and your input
Love the rims
Thx P. They are stock
junk tires here in az i got 25,000 on a full set... till they all went bald together.
@@Pinkielover that's about what you get on summer tires moron. Arizona is harsher on tires as well.
I was going to get this tire, but Continental says not to use them below 45 degrees or store them at cold temperatures did you have any problems over the winter with them cracking?
I had no problems w them sitting in garage. My garage was usually at 50 degrees.
Did you have to get these tires road force balanced?
How do you store this car in the winter to prevent flat spotting?
Thanks!
Did not have them road force balanced.
And I usually drive the car during winter as long as no snow or salt on the roads.
@@PGRRACER thanks for the reply. I'm in Jersey too an am prepping to store my car for the winter. Also just put on these same tires.
Ever since I put on these tires I've had a rough ride that goes away after 5 or so miles. Had the tires balanced twice, too.
I'm thinking they're developing flat spots when the car sits, but even after only sitting for a couple hours the rough ride comes back, and again goes away (the ride smoothes out) after 5 or so miles.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of the situation, and don't want to try and enjoy my car next sprint only to find the tires are flat spotted even worse after sitting for 3 months.
I have not had that Isaiah all and sometimes mine sits fir 2 weeks
@@PGRRACER God bless Isaiah.
I read on a different video of someone complaining about the flat spots too. Unless you post that one too lol...
Anyways I'm looking to buy these tires but a bit concerned as my car often sits for 1-3 weeks without driving.😬
Did the problem ever go away?
How are the tires lifespan, I need something that’s got some good grip but is also gonna last because I daily drive my car
I only had 3000 miles on them before selling it. But loved them
Hey Guy. Just watched this video.. been researching tires for my challenger for a few months. I think I'm sold.. you still feel the same about them?
I'm thinking of getting these tires for my C7Z too. Do you think you will like how they look on your car? I heard they have more of a rolled edge to them unlike the stock Michelin's do.
I’m still very happy with them .put about 3300 miles on them so far.
Yes great tire and awesome grip on three seasons not so much in winter months. Also love the road feel and quiet
@@PGRRACER- Thanks for the reply and info! Do you like how they look on the car in comparison to the stock Michelins?
They actually look better. I’m in middle of selling the car to buy a 2017 convertible z06 of same color and i m going to put same tires on the z06
I own a C7 Z06 and its time to get new meat in the rear. I was thinking about these tires and I dont know much about them. I saw a few reviews about them and thats it. On one review the guy says you cannot or I should say you better not drive with these tires in temperatures below 30 degrees because it will cause irreverible damage on the thread. So my firend since you said that you drove the car at 27 degrees did you inspect the tires to be intact? Im not saying that your tires must be damaged now im just trying to understand if driving in cold temperatures would damage the tires according to what I saw and heard about these tires. Thanks.
This is from tire rack :
Like all summer tires, the ExtremeContact Sport is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
I gave my initial impression from the drive home right from installer . Which I was impressed with. I rarely drove my Corvette when it was below 45° due to the limited traction that summer only tires are known for. I hope this helps.
Would you recommend these tires for a camaro Zl1?
Yes absolutely. I recently sold my Corvette and purchased a Cadillac Blackwing and I will be changing the tires to the Continentals in the spring.
@Guy Cottone awesome, how's the Cadillac btw? Any regrets?
No regrets ! I only have 331 mile on the blackwing. I’ll be getting a video out after the 500 mile break in.
@@PGRRACER Nice, I'll stay tuned 🙌
stop racing on streets
Get off the chanel lmao
Beat it!
