Blackwing Badge finally arrives

Purchased my 2023 CT5 V Blacking and it didn't have the full badging from factory. After calling Cadillac corporate customer service they assured me that it was being mailed to me. Approximately 6 weeks later it arrived. Only one badge comes in retro fit badge order. BUT the Caddy has 3 emblems, one rear and one on each side. very disappointing when you spend over 100k on a vehicle.

They scratched the heck out of your wheels during mounting. Was that worth saving $400? You are trying to use summer tires in cold weather. You should have gotten the all season Michelin.
No 👎 zero scratches. The rims were very dirty and they use a type of soap to help the very large tires slip onto rim. After the next bath rims were as perfect as before install. And the video was just for initial impression. I don’t drive the car under 50 degrees but had to have them installed and just happen to be on a cold day. And as far as all season tires , NO manufacturer makes an all season tire with the grip of a summer only tire.
I ended up selling my 2011 CTS-V and picked up a 2016 Z06 3LZ convertible. I love it.

I love it, and you have one in Jersey. I’m a huge CTSV fan and I don’t like the new Ct5/ct4 body style, the front just lacks the aggressiveness but with some mods it’s starting to grow on me. If I had the car an aftermarket heat exchanger hood is a must as well as either a carbon fiber or black gloss front splitter too. I would go slightly darker with the tints but I have no room to talk.I own an Altima and a ls400😂 not a beast and beauty like what you’re driving in

I stopped using a wash mit a while ago. I now put 6 + microfiber cloths in the bucket and switch them out after each panel. I never reuse a towel.

Did the same on my CT5... I think it pays to wrap the windshield because you will get small chips and the ceramic doesn't protect the front glass
I totally agree. From what I have heard the glass is kinda fragile. So I’m taking it back in for windshield wrap.

most ppl feel the same way about dealer markup. when what you want is hard to find.. *IF* the markup is a small amount of money then its basically the same thing as paying for convenience, which both you and me are probly willing to do. because in any other circumstance- is a couple grand a big deal? nope. enjoy the car in good health, friend, its one of the last of its kind.

I own a C7 Z06 and its time to get new meat in the rear. I was thinking about these tires and I dont know much about them. I saw a few reviews about them and thats it. On one review the guy says you cannot or I should say you better not drive with these tires in temperatures below 30 degrees because it will cause irreverible damage on the thread. So my firend since you said that you drove the car at 27 degrees did you inspect the tires to be intact? Im not saying that your tires must be damaged now im just trying to understand if driving in cold temperatures would damage the tires according to what I saw and heard about these tires. Thanks.
This is from tire rack : Like all summer tires, the ExtremeContact Sport is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. I gave my initial impression from the drive home right from installer . Which I was impressed with. I rarely drove my Corvette when it was below 45° due to the limited traction that summer only tires are known for. I hope this helps.

Yeah I got my black wing at 9 miles but they had to drive it to me from Saint Augustine Florida to Jacksonville. But now I have already put 2000 miles on it. The car is awesome? I am still waiting for my black wing badge because now I am in the black wing club.

I'm glad I called my Cadillac dealer guy and he put me in the club so I'm waiting for the badge in the mail. I seen your other video so I was looking so hard to find one until I found out you had to be a member in the Black Wing club
$2,000 over MSRP is peanuts; you stole that car. 👍🏻 All the Blackwings here are still $5K to $20K over. I paid $8K over sticker when I bought mine 9 months ago; same color, but all black interior. Love the dove seats, but I could not get one back when I was looking … only one was in the national database & it was a gray exterior.
Im very pleased to say the least !! Car is definitely an amazing all around sport sedan ! And was just able to pull off a 3.1 zero to 60 !! Which oddly was never able to achieve with my c7 Z06.

Update: let say you need a tire to race in the rain on a track day. This tire will get the job done and provide really good grip. The wet traction out performs the 4s hands down. Also we get 10.5 tread on these too. I will update again on the dry traction.
"A" pillars & Leading edge of the roof. I think I want to do those as well when My Blackwing arrives in a couple months. BTW, what brand of PPF did you get?
I’m definitely getting them done asap also windshield. I hear the glass is terrible and chips easily.
@@PGRRACER You got off easy. I live in the Pacific Northwest and a buddy just got his and without any notice they trucked it all the way out here. He had to have the headlights and windshield replaced and the nose repainted because of all the sand blast it got riding in uncovered trucks over all that distance.

Yes ,it actually sounds better upon start up than my c7 Z06 corvette did. Only thing is that the ZO6 sounded louder inside the car because the Caddy has a lot of sound deadening materials as opposed to the corvette. So I do miss the volume inside the car.

I have a C8 with the performance exhaust and mine is the same way. The only way I can start with the exhaust opened is in My Mode. I think the reasoning is because Touring and My Mode are the only two modes where the engine response is not altered to a more aggressive setting. Pretty sure there is some law where you can't start a car in a mode that increases the engine/throttle response. This seems universal on all cars I've owned and driven.
Very interesting .on my C7 Z06. I pulled the fuse for the butterfly valves, and that left them open all the time . On the blackwing I wanted the option of starting it up quiet so I didn’t even look into if there is a fuse for the for that. Which there probably is. Thanks for watching Anthony! Subscribe buddy. Good job. It's the first thing that I did when I got mine. Only 35 miles on it at the time. That was the mileage from the dealer to my home, then back to the detailer. The detailer was "A Buff and Beyond" in New Jersey. Check out their website. High end quality, professional, detailers. Highly recommended.
