Great video covering almost every possible scenario of Volvo city safety and Volvo intelisafety features and their short comings. As a Gen 2 Volvo XC60 user this video has been a great insight. Much appreciate you effort and time on making such a informative video. Thumbs up 👍 👍👍
What happened to just being attentive when driving? Next time don't rely on your car to stop or change lanes for you, pay attention and do it yourself!
What is up with you boomers being so opposed to assist systems? The name intends its literal use. the purpose is in case of inattentive driving, human visual limitations, driving error these systems provide the second set of eyes to the main driver to support safety. yall are so annoying w this bs
@@H4ndle911 which makes it worse that you grew up w tech and don’t realize it’s importance to protecting us at vulnerable times. since you aren’t a boomer, you probably just mad u can’t afford a car that has these safety systems instead. Next caller 💅
@@planetfixatormore1242 what did i say wrong in my comment? The tech is supposed to HELP you, not drive the car itself (at least its not fully capable of safely driving for now) you mad cus u need tech to justify your horrible driving skills?
@@planetfixatormore1242There’s something about ‘us boomers’ having 40+ years of driving experience. If you want to rely on self-driving tech before it’s certified, it’s up to you. But if you kill someone else, don’t be surprised if their families come for you with lawyers.
how about we all pay attention to driving while we are driving instead of relying on sensors, that way you wont blindly plow into a car thats parked on a median with its hazards on
All car's safety features are to assist driver to avoid collision to hurt somebody, but still it's assistance, not replacement for driver. I like my Volvo, but I bit pissed on Volvo that they abandoned Sensus OS development, for cars from 2017 to 2022 no more new features, apps, or updates will be done, that vague updates this years are a bunch of BS. They focus on their new AAOS what is more buggy and trash than Sensus. It is a big middle finger to all people who bought their cars.
Volvo software updates stacks problems after new problems with each update in the past years, and removing good useful working features. In the name of advancement...
12:59 - Here, did the system brake? Why, more than enough room to go on… Lane keeping, warning (other s***)- If it only works when the Cruise Control is ON, it's fine. Otherwise, when I buy the car and have it, I'll just disable it permanently. 🤣
I hope you would watch the rest after 12:59 about Rear Auto Brake. Lane keeping blah blah shit can't be turn off permanently. You need to turn off it whenever starting vehicle.

@@planetfixatormore1242well, it's clear that humans don't seem to use their own eyes when they have "second set of eyes" and im not a boomer, im 20😄

Fantastic video on all the systems in detail.
Great video though you missed out the differences on pilot assist gen 1 & 2
I just checked the manual for my 1994 Volvo 850. Couldn't find the section on driver assistance. I guess it's all on me then!
Dude, You can do it !!! :)

1:00 - that car did not even have the pedestrian AEB system.
On newer volvo MY 20-23 the city feature cannot be turn off other than lane keep assist
On my V90 -18 it's the same. I can set alert to late, normal and early. I have it at early.
Good stuff!

nice wrecking your car to show how the safety works
I will always react before systems... if you put your life in their logic and systems you will die...like in your accident video...
You can say that again.
Stevie wonder driving the first car😂😂😂😂😂
The Chinese have Fxxked these cars up .

Sorry, but you just can’t drive 😂
Sorry, but I don't get your words. Is it a kind of joke? (ENG is not my first language. so...)
