Great video. I am just in the situation where i need a new video editing machine and not sure if i should go for the same M1 Max you have or to go with the new m3 pro chip with 16gb. What would be your recommendation?
I’ve seen a few people switch from M1 max to m3 pro and it was slower for video editing. M1 Max seems to be a much better machine for that. Check out the channel: Oliur/Ultralinx. He ended up returning his m3 pro and went back to the M1 Max
I have the M1 Pro on my 14" MacBook Pro. I use my MacBook Pro for everything, from school courses to video editing. Its plenty of powerful for me. Just had the hiccups when I was doing 60fps editing on the M1 Pro. The M1 Max hammers that out. Hey the base M1 chip was so powerful too on the 13" MacBook Pro. It could even do 8K edits and playback.
after using between 14" and 16", I felt like 14" was still under my expectation about its battery life which is too short. Now I am switching to 16" m2 pro, which is powerful and better battery life.
Im looking for one now instead of getting the expensive m3 pro i think the m1 max is more powerful and way cheaper 😅

Still worth?
I have M1 Pro 14inch worth the investment!!!! I do not need M1 Max too much power for me.

Yeah I wish the battery life was better. Hopefully the m4 battery life is much better next year since Apple are working on their own batteries
We need more videos Kenny! Your style is awesome
Good but not life changing, m2 were sweetspots and m3 is good but back apple pricey
Just got one myself
M1 Max seems really good even in 2024. Def planning to buy a base M1 Max Studio, they're pretty cheap on Apple Refurbished etc.
❤❤ Thanks so much bro ❤
I just got one today! Finished setting it up, looking forward to testing it
The thumbnail is confusing pls consider changing it
the text placement felt weird
Life m1 max changing is what I saw
