I’m driving halfway across country alone, one of your vlogs randomly popped up. I like and agree with much of your advice so far, you’ve likely helped many new military spouses. I know this vlog is a year old but I wanted to mentally something I think is VERY important. You briefly mentioned not experiencing a lot of fear during deployments. That is completely understandable since your husband was on a ship, but army/marine spouses need to aware their experience is going to be much different. husbands deployments have been on a ship. helpful to many new military spouses. you have helped a lot of new military . know how I came across your channel. I’m doing a multi state drive alone, so I continued listening after hearing your first vlog. I heard you mention several things I felt were on point. IMO you have given a lot of good advice. You touched on fear of your husband being hurt or worse during deployment very briefly. I understand your husband was Navy, stationed on a shift so so the concern of him not returning being worried/fearful of your husband’s safety for your husbands safety during know this is a year old
You're always such an inspiration girl! I totally relate with dealing with anger while trying to be a super positive person, it can be a huge struggle. Christian military wives unite! ✊🏻❤
im so glad you posted this today!! my boyfriend just left for basic today and is gonna be gone until november, i’ve been watching you since last year when he started getting an interest in enlisting. i’m glad i came across your channel, your energy is beautiful and inspiring. here’s to this journey!!!
I’m so proud of you for working on this book! I can’t wait to get my hands on it!🎊 Congratulations!🎉 You’ve helped so many people (including myself) and I’d just like to thank you.
Holy crap I can relate to the part where you mentioned the baggage your marriage started with so deeply. My husband and I went through something similar (again nothing to do with the military) and our first two years of marriage were horrible. Thankfully we have worked through it and are finally happy.
Awesome advice Brittani! I agree talk to your partner or spouse how you feel about a deployment, and if they are have been on a deployment they can help you with worries. Yes choosing to be positive is the best because you can't change military decisions. I have mostly met older military wives and they have been very caring and nice.
Yay you answered my question! I asked about telling your parents about getting married young. I look at my journey and relate a lot to your story as well since my boyfriend first left a year ago. I just wanted to say thank you for always sharing your life with us because I know personally it helps me so much 💛
You are right. You can never prepare for deployment. Your videos has helped me understand a little more what this role means. Maybe one day, i will be a military wife. But for now, i will be a military girlfriend.
My husband is going to be stationed in San Diego next month! I'm nervous but so excited. I'm originally from New York so I'm used to the fast pace, although I don't care for it much. Was is super expensive? I'm scared about not being able to afford housing although we have a good amount of money saved up. Grocery prices, gas prices, car insurance,😓 Do you have any advice living in San Diego? Safe neighborhoods, how much rent costs, etc
Thank you for you sharing all your emotions experience from military wife, I’m military wife also and I have all emotions like you too some Day is hard some day is easy but I never give up on our family relationship, One things it’s very difficult to me is My English is not good much, so it makes me communicate with the outside quite hard, so it makes me a bit difficult to live ... which, in most cases, only my husband can understand and communicate well .. And with the fact that I am an Asian person, so many times when I go out, most of time i get some insulting and insulting, and I do not understand that what I am doing with those of them that’s why them talking about me like that.... but I never give up or discourage the obstacles that I encountered ... because I have a good husband to comfort and always stay by the time I feel sad, lonely, Or regret 😊 Your channel help me a lot to living here . And now I have you be my inspiration. Thank you for this you sharing 🥰
Oh my goodness! Brit you are amazing! Thank you for all the advice! I became my own military wife also but I love to see your perspective! Military Christian power 😂💗 my first deployment “my husbands” lol has been a month in and oh my we are facing the beauty but also the darkness..
Love your videos! I’ve been watching for over a year since my wife was even thinking about the military. She’s at AF BMT right now. The distance has been difficult. The only thing I would have to disagree with is being friends with different genders. I think there has to be trust. Even if my wife wanted to be friends with another gay woman that i didn’t know I would not mind. We both have girl and guy fiends. Just because we could possibly be sexually attracted to someone doesn’t mean we should have to not be their friend. I’m glad though that you and your husband have a system that works for you.
i’m in a LDR with my marine man and he’s the most understanding and sweet soul, and he’ll be coming home from deployment in a few days and i’m so excited. We’ve broken up twice, because of us being so young and me personally not knowing how to deal with our first deployment and figuring out long distance, but leaning on God and knowing the single life without him just isn’t worth it is really helping me. Pleaseeeee send prayers my way as I get ready to go to college in a few months and hold a strong bond with him and reassure myself with the help of God. Bless ya girl y’all are my goals!
Anyone have any ideas on dealing with chores and things getting done outside of work when you know they work their butts off 24/7 on duty but you also have a draining job?? I work in surgery and it’s a very draining job and I take call. So I’m always exhausted and so is he. So when we have all these chores at home to do we just bicker with each other about who should be doing them. And both of our jobs are super stressful so it’s hard to come home in a chipper mood when your day has been long and stressful and you just wanna sleep and not do anything😒 not to mention when you’re on call almost every weekend and the docs have you scrubbing in all day saturdays and sundays so you don’t get any rest for the coming week.
no girl hawaii is not fun. i am also a small town texas girl like you and it is baadd my anxiety is off the wall all the time it is just as fast paced and crazy as san diego if not more. it’s way over populated now and traffic is scary 😐pray for me for these last few years😱😪

I definitely agree on the whole boundaries thing! My husband and I are the same way in terms of opposite sex friendships!

Omg you answered my question. Thank You❤️❤️
You are amazing, God bless you!
I LOVE your top!
We are also stationed in WA! What is your favorite thing about this state?
I need to ask questions to a SOF wife or girlfriend
I am very interested in your book. When do you plan to have it fully published?
ive been trying to cook a lot more but my husband is just at AIT not deployed! But it does help!
How they meet?
Is the military life worth the loneliness and being away from your spouse? I’m struggling on whether or not of entering this lifestyle.
