Makes a nice change from older pads. We vacated one years ago when the camp was closing. There were plans to pass them on as council houses, but they were considered unfit for habitation by the council and were condemned!
Believe me they have not always been that good, the single soldier accommodation has improved massively since the introduction of Z type dwellings before that though, oh dear there was some serious squaller soldiers had to put up with.
Thank you and God bless our cousins across the water for standing by us in Afghanistan. Y'all didn't have to it but y'all did. With much respect from Texas.
Forget married quarters let’s promote soldiers buying their own properties and use the Australian army’s policy where if you move house they move a army family in and your bills get covered like wise on there property
Myself and my partner who is a fusiliers in training, will be passing out soon, he is a rejoiner, we will be getting married this later year, we were hoping that the millitary houses would change & be upgraded & I see they have! We have 3 boys, 8 9&11 yrs old and they need all the room they can get, its amazing how much the homes have changed! I'm even more excited to be within the garrison soon! To have a lovely home close to where he will be based!
