    It is so hard to find good handfighting videos compared to the thousands of videos on how to shoot a double leg

    • @counterkidnapping1737
      @counterkidnapping1737 Рік тому +2

      Yes hand fighting is important it's used as a set up to takedown especially on higher level. You're not gonna shoot double without set ups in a higher level because you're gonna get sprawled

      I not only 100% agree but I thank you for your testimony since I was going through the same impasse and had troubles explaining what I was missing to my teacher !

    I make this point all the time. We'll spend hours on all the details of a ground position, how to get there, what can happen, escapes, counters etc but when it comes to standing..."yeah just shoot for the legs" as if there wasn't an equal amount of depth.

    One of my favourite grappling channels. So much good info. Would love this to turn into a whole fundamentals series; day 1, day 2, week 2 etc. Keep up the great work!

    Really solid coaching. Established the parameters/limitations of the drill, gives the safety considerations, establishes win conditons, demonstrate basic and advanced options.

    These are my thoughts exactly. It took me a while to get to conclusion. My thinking is, if you have a decent clinch and control, you don't have to be super good at takedowns because they're there with good clinchwork.

    Against a good wrestler you will stay most of time in neutral position like this ,looking for micro adjustments like this.The secret is:stay calm and don,t make silly mistakes.Most of people after 1 or 2 minutes get frustrated. Me and my coach calls this drill " sumo" because we

    Wow. Lot of young jiujiteiros where I roll begin their rounds with a double leg. Never our instructor made mention about establishing control first. Results are awful, I guillotine most of em. Love your instructions Brian. I'm saving this video to my youtube premium files/archives. That one is for the ages.
