Can you make a video for street defense: i.e. how to do this while getting punched or worried about a possible weapon the free hand can access?

I've been doing BJJ 14 years + and I have a hell of a arm drag , but I RARELY ever get it off , because like you said from a distance it's easy to telegraph , but closed quarters like that! it makes so much sense! and being your head is taking away your oppenents peripheral view , of what your trying to do , it seems to be like a high % technique ! cool

Good video. However, I would avoid teaching modified versions for beginners. Even though it will give a boost in short term effectiveness it’s better to just teach them proper technique right from the beginning. Short term effectiveness is not important. Long term effectiveness is what matters. A good example would be teaching 4 and 5 year old wrestlers. If you are teaching one wrestler to just run over his opponent with force and no technique and you are teaching the other wrestler a proper penetration step while shooting a takedown. In the short term the 5 year old who just runs over his opponent will win every time against the other 5 year old who is trying to learn the proper technique. However, the more reps the one who is learning proper technique gets he/she will eventually start easily beating the 5 year old who is just using brute force. One was developing bad habits while the other was to develop good technique. Long term success is what matters. Don’t train to beat white belts, you should train to beat black belts.

"You're LITERALLY gluing the arm to your chest!"
I don't think that's IBJJF, ADCC, or EBI approved. How about you FIGURATIVELY* glue the arm to your chest?!?
