I have a judo background to a fairly good level (but have trained with Olympic level) and used to challenge friends to this type of thing when I was growing up and it was always one sided just like you saw in the video. However judo is always with a Gi, with a Gi Judoka has huge advantage, without Gi, the wrestler. It would be interesting to see if Olympic level bridges the gap. It also depends on the country the guy competed for, his level might not be that high if he's from a country with a poor level of judo
Robert Edwards ruined his NFL career playing football in the sand. Doing anything this physical in the sand is stupid beyond belief. Not one person in this video has a shred of intelligence. Imagine destroying your knee and having a limp the rest of your life cause you wanted to wrestle someone on the beach?

Wrestlers the most brutal dudes! My dad Candidate for Master of Sport of the USSR in freestyle wrestling. He is 60 now, but he's still very strong, and I've always been impressed with his tackle. He told me that in training they used to twist weight plates with their fingers, which made his fingers very strong and therefore his grip.
yea and he was humble too. He would have totally won that 500$ easy... There are levels to this. State champ is not even national level, let alone at the level of an Olympian... He was also much heavier.

Here's my problem with wrestling. Where are there any schools for adults to learn wrestling? It's all school athletics. I want to learn but can't find it anywhere in my area.
