I always feel so bad for Tariya whenever I watch this episode. It's really when you have a hair trigger for breakdowns. Not everyone reacts to stress by being aggressive or shutting down, sometimes your reaction is just crying at the tiniest little thing that settles on top of it. Whether it's the potential of someone's hummus being too garlicky being the reason they leave and never come back again, and tell other people that the restaurant isn't good, and that destroys your business, or if it's just because someone got something they didn't like, and that alone is overwhelming. I really hope she got help for how to manage stress, and I'm glad Gordon was understanding and kind to her.
I can relate like some ppl react to stress different then others Especially in there situation like the poor girl is already stressed form her parents relationship i wouldn't be surprised if am in her shoes like i wil cry 24/7 and have break downs💀
From what I've seen online, Yanni's is still open today, with the same owners, and doing quite well. Awesome! (Very different from many of the restaurants on KN, who returned to their previous ways or just closed.) It seems that Peter and family took Gordon's lessons to heart, and continue operating the same way now. Good for them! 👏👍
the father is a good example of why going into business with family is sometimes not a good idea. also why is everyone being mean to the daughter for crying💀at least she cares and feels something like bro
@@pauljordan4452she obviously has depression and is probably very stressed about work, because it was bleeding money and it’s her family. Touch some grass man.
Fun fact the restaurant is still open to this day and Karen and Peter are still there and run the restaurant however Alyse had some trouble with the law and some serious stuff at that can’t remember what happened with the rest of the guys there but I’m pretty sure they were happy
And then when the three of them are getting ripped apart by Gordon during dinner service she's out there lighting cheese on fire with a smile on her face
All the effort they put into yelling screaming CRYING and cursing at each other is an absolute horrible workplace all they have to do is add alcohol and they would beat each other
The one that's crying all the time is the only one that knows the truth! She knows everything is wrong! Everyone else is just pretending and acting like it's all just fine. The father especially could benefit from some professional counseling. Asap 😢
The wife looks so worn out. I feel bad for her. She has a husband that yells all the time. A daughter that crys 24/7. And the other daughter dosent really care. I hope things go alot better for this wife. She is so honest and shes really a cool lady.
@@barbaraheed3509 I was on Crete when my youngest aunt turned 50 in July 2010. Sometimes keepi g the same menu works, but the memu has to actually be good lol like classic french dishes or classic italian dishes that are good any day of the week. Also it amazes me how people actually serve food that looks like shit
The mother is a great woman and the smartest person in the family. For any of you that don't know the business, the old food should not be in there in the first place. You do not want fresh food sitting alongside rancid food. They are red flags for food safety, quality, and it effects the food quality of the fresh food that is placed next to it, and it is evidence of a larger problem that the management and staff are not doing their job and not respecting the food. I've never seen a kitchen with rancid food in any of the line coolers, the front of house coolers, the bar coolers, or the walk in coolers. Every morning the prep cook goes through every item in the coolers and in the front coolers to check deserts and salad items while making the prep list for the day. The line cooks check the coolers on the line every morning while preparing the line. If anything at all is in the coolers that is not fresh, it is removed. All of the ingredients are rotated. At the end of service, everything on the line coolers is removed, wrapped, and the inside of the coolers are cleaned with disinfectant. Ramsay was 100% in the right on this kitchen.
Which is why the daughter crys so much. Crying so easily like that is a trauma response and clearly the father dosnt like to be told his food is wrong and in the start she started crying because the food was wrong she said they didn't like the steak or something. She's probably crying in anticipation for the dad's temper. The other daughter is dealing with things in the opposite way where she acts like her father and repeats the same abusive actions he's doing.
I feel like that one sister needs to get out of there. Or needs some therapy. At least some therapy. If she is crying that much, she needs help. She is obviously very stressed. I will say it was pretty funny that she was crying over the food just being blah. Too much garlic, cries, too much anything cries lol her sister screaming at her to stop crying did make me alittle sad. That’s just mean. Sure it’s annoying but damn. She probably can’t help it.
I’m shocked that this place actually is still open. The daughter that cries just cracks me up tho I’m sorry lol I’ve seen emotional people, I’m an emotional person. But she cries at EVERYTHING. lol I think she may need some therapy. The father takes no initiative or blame for himself, the sister Alyse on the line is a crackhead…no but actually. Google it. 😂 the mother is literally the only sane half way normal, comprehensive person in the entire family unit. Which is why I’m so shocked the place is still up and running.
The girl who cries all the time would be a nightmare to date, i cant imagine her being pregnant, she will cry over anything when shes preg even more so than she does in this vid.
If the pressure of being a kitchen (a VERY high-stress environment) makes you cry, get out of that business. It takes a certain caliber of person to work in that industry. I’m sure the family aspect doesn’t help…
She's probably there because her father pressures her to work there, so she'll feel like a shitty daughter if she doesn't. I mean, based on his behavior in the beginning, I wouldn't doubt it.
