if u dont use this empyric resolve and just use your ult on cd instead of sitting on it for minutes and actually speed forward to pave the way with ash you would double your dps :P ALso put 5% cc on your staff its best perk. Edit i just tested Empryic shock and it DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the primary attack of the inferno staff, ONLY works on the others staffs primary attack.
3 toughness regen on curios is a massive waste. It only works on coherency toughness regen, and after 2 stacks , the difference is miniscule. 1 is fine , 2 is questionable, 3 is just why.
After sitting on this build I like this the least and any benefit from trying to maintain blaze away stacks is completely lost from just having consistent and nonstop 80%+ peril vents with creeping flames and blaze away is very easily built back upto 5 stacks so letting it drop often is barely a detriment, the lack of emp resolve which is pretty much a staple in purge builds not because of consistency in small mob play but because it protects you from your biggest weakness in mid to large scale enemy play, ranged clip is a puzzler, not to mention i -REALLY- dislike anyone who takes Kinetic over Psykinetic's Aura + Seer's Pres, Kinetic can def be really good on high alpha weapons like voidstrike or surge but on purge it's a literal nothingburger. Empyric Resolve is also just a trap talent, I'm gonna say it now outside of quirky memebuilds like LMB scyer spam it's doing far more harm than good than just taking inner tranquility below it, the fact that it was considered a flaw that purge staff built peril too slowly before and resistance was it's easy dumpstat. wildfire is abit of a baffler too, spreading like a seconds worth of channeled damage is either, insanely overkill on trash mobs, or nigh useless on tankier mobs you're going to have to focus down anyway. nothing against you obviously you're clearly skilled and put the hours in and I've enjoyed some of the other stuff you've put out, I just think this one in particular outside of new blessings is best kept to basics talentwise
I don't understand the "do not stack toughness" argument. Yes I know the perk makes you regen it way slower but it's still more than the benefits of more health because "health regen" happens way less often. At least 2 or 3 times in first couple minutes of gameplay you lose hp because you don't have enough toughness. I would still aim for 100-120.
@Matroze1 same would happen with toughness as the -30% is very noticeable. However, with health you can afford to take a little chip. I usually run with toughness curios but with this talent you really want to run HP instead.
@@Pygex I think having more toughness to sure up that imposed weakness is better than sucking it up and just lowering the consequences. Taking any amount of frequent chip damage isn't sustainable. By taking less than normal max toughness, and having the reduction to toughness regen, you almost make it inevitable that you will take chip damage.
@beef0masta it does proc it but it is not consistent enough to be reliable compared to something like duelling sword light attack spam with shred or columnus / shredder / recon lasgun with true aim
@@Pygex interesting. I found that useful, even in this build. Since its a cc oriented build evasion helps you being more aggressive and take even more space
1:40 Absolutely not. Toughness curios just increase overall Toughness, Toughness Regen Perks are what you're thinking of. Health perks are trash. Health requires a medpack, medstim or med terminal to regain health. Those are not always readily available. Toughness, however, has a ton of talents that actively regenerate it throughout battle. Pretty sure Empyric Resolve just applies to passive Toughness regen, not Toughness actively regenerated from talents.
@@Pygex You should probably do a follow up on this, I don't disagree but it's confusing the way its being presented, is it effecting each individual toughness gain talent or is it being applied once all the toughness calculations are done.
I missed your guides. I glad to see that recent patch revitalized your interest in Darktide :)

Yo P, any melee or voidstrike builds cooking in the Atheneum?
@zexedearth89 voidstike is next, Ateneum is still badly in the works, a lot off stuff has changed and needs three properly tested

why not emp. evasion?
@beef0masta it will not be consistently up so you can't rely on it, emp evasion is better for when you focus on using duelling sword or knife
