When Cartoons Were Good Mega Montage Pt. 7

- Опубліковано 2 кві 2007
- Inspired by the many cartoon compilations here, I've made my own series.
Some you may already seen, and some you may not. Just sit back, reminisce, and enjoy!
Due to popular demand, here's some more intros. Thanks to everyone for the kind words! - Фільми й анімація
Word. There's really no better way to say it. I know that as a kid, most of the stuff in this montage series was gold, but I'd be hard-pressed to fully enjoy them now, nostalgia notwithstanding.
I remember watching "Maja de Bij" in the mid to late 70's when I was very young.
That was a time when kids were allowed to be kids and to grow up at their own pace unlike today where everything is forcefed.
After having watched every one of these videos, i have to say, you are the coolest person alive. thanks for helping me relive the best parts of my childhood!!!
OMFG Bravestarr?!?!?! I haven't thought of that show in at least 10 years. Great vid!!!
seven cities of gold.. it's been so long I almost thought I just imagined that cartoon...
Oh man! I totally forgot how much I love Duck Tales. Scrooge is still such a great character. That accent... Of course, some of these shows in retrospect never look that good, but wow, I still prefer them over the cartoons of today.
i keep talking about maya the bee and no one else around here remembers it. glad to see that someone else remembers it. lol
WOW double dragon was cool. Johnny Quest and Duck tales ruled that era
In retrospect rocko's modern life was pretty genius. The Intro seems to be a statement about socialization.
Duck Tales is my favorite Disney cartoon. I still have the 5-episode pilot, Treasure of the Golden Suns, recorded from TV on a Beta tape somewhere, haha.
I remember a show called Pinwheel, but I don't for the life of me recall what it was about!
Jonny Quest? There are actually other people who remember this? lol! Thank you also for the Mysterious Cities of Gold!
Eyes of a hawk, ears of a wolf, strength of a bear, speed of a puma!
Jonny quest has perhaps the best intro tune ever.
DUCK TALES!!!!!!! haven't seen it for years!
awesome series
I've always lovewd BRAVESTARR, and Double Dragon, I grew up with both, and loved them! its too bad the shows of today aren't like them!
Pretty diverse collection...:D
Of course, loved all of it.
Wow...Prostars. I had completely forgotten about that piece of crap, lol. WOOT for Rocko, Quest and Ducktales!
That was a hoot!
God I loved Rocko
avengers 4, bravestar dont remember, double dragon 2, ducktales 5, jhonny quest 3, maya 3, cities of gold dont know, prostars 2, rocko 3, waldo 1,
yeeez when i was a child... :'D Rocko's and Johnny Quest and etc.. ^^
Johnny Quest remake, wow that was well into the 90's 97 or 98 I believe.
the Disney Afternoon! ftw! Mya The Bee used to come on after Muppet Babies. I remember the intro song, but never watched the cartoon.
i liked johnny quest, cities of gold and Brave Star they were my favs
LMAO. Oh yeah, sure. Where a boy cow's name was Heffer. REAL kick ass. That's like that one movie, Barnyard, where ALL the cows, even the boy ones, had utters. ;)
I loved the intro for double dragon :D:D:D I MISS IT!
I know, isn't that weird?! It hit me like a brick to the face when I saw it!
Sad but happen to me too. Luckily they allowed me to record them :D now i have vhs of some of these amazing cartoons
i used 2 hate johnny quest but now when i think bak on it i really miss it... dam i miss the 90's
Haha, Double Dragon, Rocko's Modern Life, now that is CLASSIC! Kid's have crap for shows these days!
never heard of maya the bee but i like the theme song and it sounds cute
Also, just realized: If it weren't for "Real Adventure fo Johnny Quest", then "Code Lyoko" might not have ever happened
For Might! For Right! WE ARE DOUBLE DRAGONS!
OMFG! I remember Maya the Bee
It is! I got volume 1 and 2 on Amazon, and Treasure of the Golden Suns is on Volume 2. But you can get the whole series cheaper from a bootleg retailer. The quality probably sucks, though...I'm just getting the regular volumes.
Jessie from JQ was A+
You know, after I posted the comment, I realized what the original was. Yeah, I recall that one and I after seeing it, I like that one better.
The Venture Brothers is the best show to come out of Johnny Quest
Duck Tales is legend x
The Mighty Avengers, Brave Starr, Double Dragon, Duck Tales, Johnny Quest, Mya the Bee, The Mysterious of Gold, Pro Stars, Rocko's Modern Life, and Where's Waldo?.
Darkwing Duck FTW!!!!
Maya the bee, my god as a kid I would sing theme song at school then I got my ass beat lol
ROCKO!!!
...HELL YEAH!!!
So many 80s & 90s cartoons were so great, unlike what we have today (ABC's pathetic Saturday morning cartoons). I think it started going downhill when so many Pokemon imitations came out in the early 2000s and then by mid 2000s they eiiminated all weekday cartoon broadcasting!!
Dang! It's like cartoons don't exist anymore in network television! Like they say, "You don't know what you have 'til its gone."
What do you all of you guys think?
no, although i couldn't find the original audio with the video from rocko's modern life, i did find the audio. the one here is the redo by the b52's. the video is in my fav. list, it should be on the first page still
Prostars??? Was that an NBC cartoon? I don't recall ever seeing that but I guess it was a long time ago.
Double Dragons? That sounds SOOO familiar. It's probably just so old I don't remember all of it. Hahah. Duck Tales. Johnny Quest isn't that old. They should be making it into a live action movie here shortly. LoL. But it always came on after Speed Racer. Rocko's Modern Life was just plain STUPID!!! And not in a good way. And I never knew Waldo had his own Where's Waldo show. Wild.
Eh, my parents kept a pretty close eye on how much time my siblings and I spent watching TV.
sigh* i miss my childhood days :) they took off toonami :'(
BRAVEESTARR
back when cartoons meant something unlike now.
double dragons was my
show
and street sharks
Duck Tales and Johnny Quest were the shit
johnny quest.. ah.. droooooooolllll
johnny quest was the best one
Most of the cartoons of today bear resemblance to cartoons that were on Nickolodeon in the 90's.
Cartoons go in peaks and valleys (i.e., you note that 40's and 50's cartoons and 80's and 90's cartoons were good... what happened to the 60's and 70's?), hopefully we'll see cartoons worth watching soon, but if we continue keeping children's entertainment sanitized of any adult humor or anything appealing to adults, it's not going to happen.
I 2nd That.
DUCK TALES!
LOL SAME HERE!!!!
WERE IS DINORIDERS?!!!
duck tales.....wu uu...
maya....cute...
rocko´s modern life....awesome...
it's where waldo in america

I love these cartoons, but holy jeez, is the sound bad on Double Dragon.
It isn't? That's the one I remember.
Go Gizmo Duck!!!!!!!!!!
THUMBS WAY UP! let's get dangerous.
bravestarr for the win..
Avengers was good? Double Dragon? those cartoons left allot to be desired
WHERE'S PART 6?
Maja :D It's from Poland :D
lol totally.
Oh and where's vid 6?
I know where is Part 6?!?
1. Avengers-never watched it
2. Bravestar-never watched it
3. Double Dragon-never watched it
4. Duck Tales-watched it
5. Johnny Quest-never watched it
6. Mia the Bee(?)-never watched it
7. Cities of Gold-never watched it
8. Pro Stars-never watched it
9. Rocko's Modern Life-never watched it
10. Where's Waldo?-this is a cartoon??
no astro boy!?!
Bravestarr? A Native American marshal fighting evil cowboys on a planet called New Texas? LOL
I didn't realize Maya the Bee and Cities of Gold were anime. Huh, weird.
Ducktales FTW!
OMG, the B52's did the theme for Rocko's Modern Life!
Double Dragon was crap... the main bad guy had a white ponytail-mullet combo and the everybody was overexaggeratedly buff.
Oh god you mangled DOUBLE DRAGONS INTRO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Also, they made a cartoon based of a find-me picture game series for five year olds?
Bravestarr: 3. Double Dragon: 3. Ducktales: 5. Johnny Quest: 4. Rocko: 3, Waldo: 2. Avengers, Maya Bee, Cities of Gold, Pro Stars: haven't seen so I can't rate or slate.
Man, the audio quality for Double Dragon was horrid.
to bad thats not the original and better rocko's modern life opening
Double Dragon is too hard to understand :(
The new cartoons aren't even in the same league as the oldies, They need to bring back all the old ones, so much more detail to the characters and background. Give me an example of a new cartoon like the spider-man, x-men, thundercats, transformers, ghostbusters, batman, etc, there is nothing but cheap and quick drawn characters these days
what happen to tmnt?
its rocko not rocco :)
who the fuck is Waldo, it's Where's Wally
I miss the 90s.Now all anime dubs practacly suck. All shows practicaly have a leson which isnt bad but sometimes all you want is comedy and action. There is like no action anymore.REVIVE THE OLD CARTOONS AND ANIME!!! Why does everyone hate anime?
What was that cartoon with the spy raccon?
cause of all the hentai out there and yiff and all of that shit adn if you're saying cartoons nowadays have lessons you a gravly mistaken they have what I'd like to clasify as an antilesson it drains intellect
Never saw Avengers, but if it was the same animation team that did Iron Man, it couldn't have been that good.
Never saw Bravestarr
Double Dragon was HORRIBLE.
Johnny Quest was awesome.
Ducktales? Oh, c'mon.
Never saw Cities of Gold.
PROSTARS? Oh hell no.
I hated Rocco with a passion.
Waldo was forgettable.
Don't get mad becuz you old.
These shows don't suck, your just too old.
I hated that bee show! rocko's modern life and johnny quest!
prostars and bravestar so lame
cartoons now a days are too commercial, dumbed down and politically correct. wtf!?
