- Inspired by the many cartoon compilations here, I've made my own series.

I say a petition should be started to either bring these to DVD, or back to Television. A lot of these cartoons were about good vs. evil, and they had real adult issues. Exo Squad, Gargoyles, Gummi Bears, X-men, all had great lessons as well as grand entertainment! Kids need that these days. Seriously, what do modern Cartoons teach anyone?
Those are my two favorites too! Yay, I'm 21 Years Old! *cry*
I bet Gargoyles could actually be made into a really good live action movie. If it's treated seriously, and kept that awesome musical score from the intro. It would really be something special.
The 80's and 90's both were the best two decades of television for our generation (those of us in our 20s or so), IMO.

Jesus, there were even more "kid" variation of classic 60s cartoons in the 90s than I remember.
Agreed. Hell, if it were a specialty channel, I'd pay twice my cable bill if these shows were back on a premium TV channel.
darkwing duck was one of my favorites when i was little. i got far to involved in the story for a kid XD i had so many actionfigurs from it

Freakazoid, Gargoyles, and Dark Wing Duck ... I'm 13 and those name are still present in my mind.
Futurama is the best! I got all the seasons on DVD!

does anyone else remember a different intro for garfield? it went something "we're ready to party, we're ready! I hope you bring lots of spaghetti!"
If I remember correctly, Hysteria marked the death of the age of good cartoons.
Only shows that even come close now are Dave the Barbarian, Fairly Oddparents, and Justice League Unlimited.

Man, Darkwing Duck had the campiest superhero outfit, when you think about it. The Fantastic 4 theme sounds oddly a lot like the Rescue Rangers theme. Futurama, though a masterpiece, is probably outta place amongst the list. Ugh... the G.I. Joe song is pure cheese. Gargoyles rocked!

As I sit here singing the old songs word for word I'm reminded that the 90's were the golden age of cartoons. Nothing like this crappy s*** on tv nowadays.
Fantastic Four had a really inappropriate theme song, but really good animation.
Garfield! I can't believe the cartoon was better than the new movies. How far we've come yet not with quality writing and acting. what gives?

Gargoyles was one of the BEST
Darkwing Duck has one of the best theme tunes of any cartoon, and I loved Freakazoid then and now. However, the one thing I didn't like was any cartoon that boasted a "... Kids" offspring, like Pup named Scooby and Flintstone Kids. But many of the 90s cartoons were what made me the mentally stable person I am today...NARF.
Oh yeah. The Fantastic 4/Iron Man Adventure Hour. That was the shitz.

So many 80s & 90s cartoons were so great, unlike what we have today (ABC's pathetic Saturday morning cartoons). I think it started going downhill when so many Pokemon imitations came out in the early 2000s and then by mid 2000s they eiiminated all weekday cartoon broadcasting!!
Dang! It's like cartoons don't exist anymore in network television! Like they say, "You don't know what you have 'til its gone."

The only reason these cartoons seem "great" is because I was young when I watched them. I grew up watching cartoons in the 90's, and anyone who watched them in the 80's or 70's or even 60's will feel the same way about theirs. So, in a way, all our cartoons kind-of suck and bring back great memories at the same time.

Certain anime- Digimon, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh- they suck canal water!!!! I miss these cartoons. I will try to get them all on DVD.

yep, you're right... the Incredibles outfit is exactly the same as Freakazoid except his has (!) and their has (i). Also, Syndrome (the bad guy) looks exactly the same as Freakazoid (right down the hair and eye mask)... go google the pics!!

The new cartoons aren't even in the same league as the oldies, They need to bring back all the old ones, so much more detail to the characters and background. Give me an example of a new cartoon like the spider-man, x-men, thundercats, transformers, ghostbusters, batman, etc, there is nothing but cheap and quick drawn characters these days
I honestly don't think that Futurama should be in here, it's wayyy to recent compared to the other ones you have.
