My my my, Ivan! What a great way to prepare turkey! I have also bought the scissors for poultry. I like your potatoes; simple but looking great. And probably taste great! What you do with the herbsbutter is such a good idea. All the juice from the turkey is reusable. On the farm a lot of bones go to the dogs so nothing gets lost. If you live in the neighbourhood of a 'childrensfarm' you can feed the rests to the pigs if you ask the caretakers if that is okay with them. Also breadrests and veggie rests can go to the childrensfarm for the chickens and ducks. When we moved to Europe I was quite young and my dad took us on sundays to the parc with a childrensfarm. So I could stay in touch with animals. Oh, and we saved bread to feed the carps in the pond. Ginormeous carps!!!! Till your next handmade piece, Ivan! Bye!
Thanks a lot my friend! 😁 The poultry scissors are so good to have, removing the backbone and cooking the bird flat is one of my favorite ways to prepare chicken and turkey. It's always a challenge to cook the turkey so both the breast and the legs stay juicy, but this way, the bird cooks evenly. And faster! 😊 Nothing goes to waste at your farm! It's awesome. I've been making omelette with the leftover fat/oil from the turkey and it's so good. Gives tons of flavor. 😁 Cheers!
Hello Again from Australia, We don't have Thanksgiving here but whole turkeys become plentiful in time for Xmas. Your recipe for splitting the bird and cooking with herbs, butter, olive oil and bacon looks amazing. I am going to look for a small bird and give it a try. Many thanks and your cooking never disappoints. With Best Wishes 💯
Hey my friend! Thanks a lot, that makes me really happy to hear 😁 You should definitely try this one out, removing the backbone makes for such a juicy turkey. Would love to hear how it turns out if you give it a try 😁 Cheers!
