Thank you for an easy to follow video and recipe. This recipe, brining and cooking the turkey is so helpful! This is my 1st time brining and so far it has gone well. I'm also trying your apple cobbler. I like the more rustic feel to this recipe! Question? When you say air dry one day after 2 days of brine, do you place it in the refrigerator uncovered?
Reporting back: HOLY MOLY. I've never had a turkey so good, so aesthetically pleasing, and this video gave step by step instructions/Insight from start to finish. I finally convinced my parents/inlaws to ditch the cooking bag. 10/10. My husband is excited for turkey sandwiches today, that's a first!
I’ve never experienced a more moist, flavorful and tender turkey in my life! Thank you…. Excellent video, nicely produced - very informative. I followed all instructions carefully including brining, prep, roasting and carving. Great experience and outcome… Thank-You
First time cooking turkey and I did this recipe. OMG everybody talks about how juicy, soft and delicious was! I 100% recommend this recipe. I am so thankful I found this recipe. I was easy to make too. Again, 1st time making turkey and I feel so happy and proud of myself taking the chance making it 🙂
This turned out so good flavorful juice and believe me or not we ate it all 🤤🤤🤤 thank you soooo much. I never thought turkey can taste this good. Now i know with this recipe it does.
I used your recipe for Thanksgiving this year. Easy to follow and my turkey and gravy turn out great. I loved the herb butter. Will be my go to recipe in future. I used a different brine but will try yours next time. Thanks for the great video.
I've been looking for a compound butter to do this with our turkey! This fits the bill, definitely going to try this! Thank you so much for this recipe!
I followed this recipe, but used a bundt pan. This recipe is a keeper. I will change a few things on my next carrot cake: -1/2 cup chopped pecans, no raisins. -grease the bundt pan really good with unsalted butter (instead of non-stick spray) -bake for 47 minutes, cover half way through. -Let it stand for 20 min, the flip the bundt cake on a wire rack. Thanks for the recipe!
I am the turkey maker at Thanksgiving and Christmas, my mom does the ham. This looks fantastic, will be giving it a try. Please let me know where to go and leave a message about your wonderful recipes. I know you gave it to me before, but I forgot to tell how wonderful y’all’s recipes are. Thanks for all you do.
We would love it if you left us a comment and/or review on the roasted turkey recipe page. It would help inspire others 😀 www.inspiredtaste.net/63746/roast-turkey/
This year is my first time making Thanksgiving dinner. How often do you open your oven to baste your Turkey while it’s cooking? I don’t want to do it too often, or not enough.
This recipe is amazing. I made two turkeys on Thanksgiving. One I took to my parents house next door for the family meal with everyone. Then when I came home I cooked one for myself. I made myself just a breast on the bone. Will be using this recipe at Christmas.
Just saw your video. Will definitely try this for Christmas. Quick question: do you use convection on the oven or just straight classic bottom element? Bake, convection bake or convection roast?
Using this recipe this year. I saw that you added cream to the gravy , question did you use heavy cream ?? 1/2 and 1/2 ??? …oh ! I ordered a fat separator …this girl is ready for the challenge, thank I so much .
Oh how exciting. We do add a little cream to the gravy -- its optional, but delicious. Here's the gravy recipe for you: www.inspiredtaste.net/63826/turkey-gravy/
We have never tried this brine without sugar. It balances the salt nicely. It is also impossible to know how much sugar gets into the meat. There are other brines that do not include sugar so you may find that removing it in our case would still work well.
@@inspiredtaste Marvellous. Thank you for your prompt reply. I’ll just give it a go and see how I get on. Thank you for sharing another delicious recipe. Much love to you and Adam from England. xxx
I mistakenly dried my turkey with paper towels after I took it out of the brine. Is that a problem? I put it in the refrigerate to further air dry overnight before I roast it tomorrow. I hope I didn't ruin it! It had been in the brine since Monday night.
We recommend brining and roasting a thawed turkey. So if you have run out of time for thawing and brining, just use our herb turkey butter and roasting instructions.
I am trying to figure out something on the cooking time. 15 pound turkey baked at 325 degrees per 14 minutes per pound. I must be missing something, cause I can`t come up with 3.5 hours of roasting. Help me out here please.
Yep, we leave the turkey in the brine for 2 days. Here's our brine recipe with all of our tips if you need it: www.inspiredtaste.net/63704/turkey-brine/
Thank you for teaching me how to make the best turkey 🫶👌 it was my first time and I nailed it;) my family was impressed and they couldn’t stop eating my turkey it was sooooo goooood ) 😅

You are going to love it. That butter is insanely good!
Where do you get compound butter or is it made,, where there slowly boils then cools? Can use just butter???

Thanks so much!
This looks beautiful and well done.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for this!
Can you please share what roasting pan you used in this video? My turkey is currently in the brine! I can't wait to cook it tomorrow morning!
We used an All-clad roasting pan. We love that pan! We got it on Amazon.
🎵 Everyone's talking about the bird. The bird , the bird, the bird is the word.🎵
I want to use your brine, air dry method and this roasting recipe. My husband and I love crispy skin - will the frequent basting compromise that?
Do you stuff the turkey or put anything in the cavity? Should I put the herb butter in the cavity?
You put the brine with Turkey in a cooler or the fridge?

Will this work if you buy a smoked turkey.

what is your recommendation if your turkey is frozen? Should I still brine if it is frozen?
We recommend brining and roasting a thawed turkey. So if you have run out of time for thawing and brining, just use our herb turkey butter and roasting instructions.
Wao😋 tasty 👌good 👍nice🔥 yummy 😋😋😋👍👍👍🔥🔥👌
Thank you so much! Enjoy
This was a masterclass. Question: How should much brine should I prepare if only doing a breast?
Hi there, I'd probably just use the same amount, but you can cut everything in half. (make sure you keep all the ratios the same)

210 min × 1hr/60 min = 3.5 hrs

How is showing how juicy the turkey is awkward lmao
The word "flavorful" is not in the English dictionary.
Well this has so much flavor can't go wrong with homemade herb butter.
