Great shave Mark! So sorry about the loading issues at the beginning. Glad the shave was so good though! I'll be honest - having colored numbers wasn't even something I considered when we were in development. But we've received the same feedback from other customers - and I agree with it! I only used a Classic Matte finish during R&D, and when the black came out in production, I realized how hard those numbers were to see. I'm working to get this implemented on future batches :) Thanks for being such a long time supporter!
Hey Patrick. You know, when I make these videos it doesn't ever occur to me that the 'inventor' might tune in. Thank you for watching and getting in touch; what a nice surprise. I'm sure the issue at the beginning was two blades sticking together. I've had it happen once before with an old Schick injector. It'll be great to see the numbers on the dial painted in - old fellows like me need it or a free magnifying glass! 😁 The Supply Pro is a terrific razor, as you know. I shaved with it yesterday, on setting four, for the first pass. There's a lot to like, but the weight and feel of the razor, along with the squared handle, make it very nice in the hand. I hope and your family are keeping well. All the very best.
@@FriendshipShaving thank you so much for the kind words! I've been a long time watcher of the channel, first time commenter :) I'm really pleased to know everything is going so well. Watching your videos is such a treat. Very relaxing and calming. Thanks for being a supporter!
I just got my first Supply Pro razor yesterday and used it for the first time today. I love this thing! I am a rookie at using anything other than a Gillete razor, so it was a little odd to use. The shave was very smooth, and I knicked myself a tiny bit. That is probably something I'll figure out after a few shaves, but I did decide to sit it at number 1 until I get accustomed to this.
You're a wise man Randall. I didn't even think about it until it arrived in the post. I need a magnifying glass.😁 You too, buddy - enjoy what's left of the weekend. Cheers.
I have the classic matte finished one and I took your advice from your Yaqi Adjustable video and used a fine tipped sharpie to fill in the numbers. I can’t wait to use it! I have not shaved in a week so hopefully it can handle it.
That Sharpie idea is a good one. I wonder if I can get a white coloured Sharpie. I'll have a look. If not it will be the usual paint by numbers. I think you've probably had a shave by now. I hope it went well. Cheers👍
The razor looks really nice in matte black. I ended up getting the mirror polish and agree that the numbers on the dial were difficult to read. So, I painted the numbers which helped make the numbers stand out more. Very smooth shaver. Cheers!
Hi Greg. It's great to read that there were no problems painting the numbers on. I shall have a go at that later. Thanks for the encouragement. It is smooth! All the best.
A great shave with a most attractive looking razor, Mark. I must say that I sm a bit envious. You and mum keep safe and have a good weekend and coming week.
Hi Mark- Great shave and razor review; thank you! It’s good to hear that you enjoyed using the razor and the blade. I’m looking forward to using the new SE and the new blades. I hope you have a restful weekend ahead. Be safe and be well. All the best, my friend!
Hi Mike, I'll be interested to read what you think of the new SE. Common opinion is that the blades are very good indeed. Certainly I thought my shave was very smooth. Have a good week, my friend. Take good care of yourself. Cheers👍
Thanks for the video and a look at new razor and it’s performance plus your comments and info. Regarding the shaving soap I do agree that the ES Natural shaving cream is particularly nice and fresh, with a great creamy lather. All the best to you!
I'm enjoying this razor and there will be more shaves to come using this one. One shave is never enough but my first impressions are very good. Thanks for watching. Take care.
Great Shave Mark, I have a tin of the executive shaving natural shaving soap lovely scent and a good residual slickness, nice razor and brush take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend 😀👍
An empty pot? That’s like spotting a unicorn. 😁 I was hoping you would be trying this razor. I enjoy mine very much and have had several excellent shaves with it so far. I think everyone is in agreement that the numbers are far too difficult to read, particularly when the dial is wet. I have the black one as well so perhaps the dial on the silver one is easier to see. The Black Label Blades have proven to be exceptional, surpassing some quite good vintage blades as well as twin blades I have tried. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. As always, I find your videos to be balanced and fair and appreciate your perspective. By the way, I painted in the numbers on my Yaqi Final Cut using your tutorial and it turned out great. Have a great day!
I know, it is a rare thing indeed! 😁 The Pro is proving to be very nice. I have had two shaves, including this video, and my first impressions are very good. The blades do seem to be excellent and, to be honest they may end up being the only ones I buy here on in. It will be interesting to try them in my Schick. Painting the numbers on this one might be a bit more challenging. I think it will be one number at a time. All the best Eric.
Hi Julio. May I suggest that if you are shaving in five passes, and still feeling hair, then these razors are not for you. They are thought of as being mild - medium shaves, but a lot depends on skin and the coarseness of your growth. I'd like to suggest you try the Mühle R41. It is a much more aggressive razor than the Merkur 34 or the Gillette razor you mentioned. It is reasonably priced but it is often too aggressive for those with sensitive skin. I see them used on eBay quite frequently.
Hi Mark - what an interesting razor - I can see this one quickly becoming your fave after a few more shaves. Pity about the numbers as it appears to be the only over sight in the making of the razor.
Hi Doug, I have ordered a Sharpie 'white paint', which apparently dries in minutes, so that should work very well, when I get it. It seemed easier than the model paint method. I hope you're keeping well mate. Cheers.
will be interesting to pop that new blade in the old supply see how it does from what i have seen lot of people say that blade is very good indeed. nice shaver for sure 👍
I agree loading the blade is very fiddly to say the least, at least with my Supply Single Edge. It seems more dangerous to load than with a normal DE or SE razor.
Hi Pete, I'm sure I had two blades that were stuck together but it was a bit strange, and not something that I was expecting at all. Hopefully next time will be better! Cheers.
Good demonstration. I agree they could use paint on those numbers, but from what you say the Pro looks to have met the standard set by its multiplate predecessors. I vote, however, for giving the Black Blades much of the credit. They seem smoother than the Chicks and Ted Pellas. I could see using the Supply 3 plate with a Black Blade but not with the other two. I recall your wondering during the unboxing about how the razor is supposed to fit into the base. My 2.0 fits like a glove the opposite way from the way you show here. In fact I often need to hold the base down just to get the razor out. Maybe the Pro is different, but that's how it is with my 2.0. Also, I had the very same thought as you about the deceptive weight of aluminum. My new Timeless Aluminum razor felt so hefty that I weighed it against my Gillette NEW. It was just a few grams less, very much in the same ballpark.
Hi Warren, thank you mate. I hope you are well. I will paint the numbers in carefully. The sun was shining in today, and I could see the numbers if I caught the light. I think they'll have to be painted one at a time. I'll start tomorrow. I didn't have a case for my Supply 2. With this one it seems to slot in and then sit back. It's quite good actually. Definitely a great shave. Cheers.👍
Excellent! Hope it goes well and that Patrick and Jennifer are aware of the upgrade. I hope this won't be any trickier than the Pearl Flexi was, but if it is, I'm sure you'll adjust, as you're already doing by switching to that Sharpie. To me it sounds like industrial strength Liquid Paper, which is the original name for whiteout here. It was coined by the product's inventor, who was also the mother of Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. With this in mind, here's hoping you get into a rhythm, but not to where you're strumming it on. Cheers!

Great stuff Mark. Cool to see the inventor comment and take the improvement suggestion. Have a good one!
Thanks, you too! I painted the numbers in!
Nice looking razor in black, good review. Enjoy your weekend Mark
Hi, thank you Roy. It was a nice shave. I like this one. Have a nice weekend, too mate. All the best.

Nicely done, Roger. It is a nice easy razor to shave with and I know you won't have any trouble with it. Enjoy your shaves, my friend.
Great shave...
👌💈
Thank you, my friend.
They actually are going through with it, that's awesome!
Hey Tim. How are you and your lovely wife? I hope you are both well. It's a great razor, my friend. Take good care of yourselves.
@@FriendshipShaving we are great!! Actually at sea getting married today! I hope you are doing well and as always I enjoyed the video!
Oh, man alive. Many congratulations, my friend! How fantastic. 💥🎁🎉👍
Interesting razor and looked like a good shave.👍
It was! I can't wait to use it more.
Nice shave. That’s why I bought the SE rather than the Pro because I knew I wouldn’t be able to see the micro settings! Enjoy the weekend!

👍👍
Blade install seems a bit fiddly if compared to other injectors. Results are good though. Good looking.
Yes, it seemed that way but I'm sure I had two blades that were sticking together. We'll see how we go, next time around. It's a very nice shave.
You shall have to try those new black blades in the original Supply razor now, just to give out what makes the difference.
I will, Lee. That is a good idea and it has to done.

Does it works for both head and face
I have the gillette king c safety razor and the merkur 34c but they dont give me a nice close shave. I give like 5 passes and i still feel hair.
