I love it...but for both teams, surprisingly - that doesn't often happen.

This is a win win….knicks get a dope core to ride into the future and nets get to finally truly lean into rebuild mode. Do think they gave up a pick too many but if they get a chip in a year or two then it’d be worth it. Let’s get the trade storm rolling!

Did Bridges bridge the Knicks to a chip when he crossed the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn? But, now that Bridges is no longer in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge, will Bridges mix well with the Knicks and, if so, will the Bridge mix be as tasty as bridge mix to the Knicks, now that they have Bridges?

This makes me think the knicks could try and move up higher in this years draft. Randle and 2 firsts for like the OKC pick or something like that, maybe not OKC cause they are just to loaded as well
Honestly we are talking a higher pick than 12 for Randall, but you are on the right track! I don’t know who or even if they will trade him but I imagine it all depends on I Hart.
I was thinking at first they could keep randle and move donte to the bench but then again he had such a wonderful reg season and playoffs u might have to keep him in starting lineup and then if u flip randle u could get bench depth and maybe salary relief. I think they should try and move Robinson for relief if there confident hartenstein comes back. One things forsure is this team is gonna see tax numbers in coming yrs the warriors may not have gotten even with there teams

Two immediate thoughts:
1) Brunson - DiVincenzo/OG/Bridges/Hart - Randle - Hardenstein??? Who the hell is coming off the bench!!!
2) My Philly finals hopes and dreams were already in the drain, but now they’re fully flushed away 😭
Brunson - Bridges - OG - Randle - Hartenstein start if nothing changes. DiVincenzo is 6th man of the year.

I think currently you'd have Brunson, Mikal, OG, Randle and Mitchell Robinson starting five (I saw woj saying it'll be harder for the Knicks to re-sign Hartenstein now, and if they can't convince him to take less money I'm worrying about that 5 spot, especially against Porzingis).
Btw Mikal and OG vs Caruso and Dort, who you're taking as a defending duo?
Yeah so regardless what they can offer I Hart is pretty locked in. He can get more money elsewhere and they can’t do much about that. I personally think the sales pitch of possibly winning a title could be enough to bring him back but we’ll see I guess!
I’ve never been this happy as a Knicks fan. Me and my dad got on the phone straight away and lost our minds!
We kept the core together, we kept our picks this year, we still can bring back OG and Hartenstein. We are absolutely a top 2 team in the league guranteed now.
Leon Rose is the best thing that’s ever happened to this franchise. It’s championship or bust next season and I’ve never been able to say that before.

You guys can not keep Hartenstein. CBA rules wont allow it. Congrats on Mikal though.

@@_AVC_ New CBA rules state Knicks can basically only offer him a max of 16.2 million a year. He may take the pay cut to stay with the Knicks, but I will be shocked beyond belief if someone doesnt offer him 20+. And the Knicks want to keep OG? It will be hard to control everything with the limit the Knicks have.
@@_AVC_ New CBA rules are crazy. If you have the Athletic, Fred Katz wrote a pretty solid article on Hartenstein.
Randle to the Cavs for Jarret Allen? Love the Bridges trade for New York
Pretty similar level of player honestly so if Cleveland liked his game there probably could be a discussion.
I'm very likely going to watch more Knicks games than my Pistons next season.

I think detroit gets at least a 1st as part of facilitating any trades needed to make this work for NYK so they can resign OG/Ihart, maybe a couple if they're willing to give stew up so they can get rid of mitchell robinson

@@_AVC_ I’ve heard from capnguys they need to take some salary back but basically have to give up Randle to keep og, and they could get off Mitch to try to keep ihart. I think pistons facilitate Randle going wherever, send the Knicks stew for their backup, and take back some bad salary from wherever Randle is going
@@scArisen So they don’t have to move anyone if they don’t want to. There is nothing preventing them from resigning their guys.
There is a logical/financial reason to try and trade someone though. Maybe they don’t need Randall anymore or they just don’t want to pay a team this much money. But they could keep em all.
@@_AVC_ I was under the impression that they wouldn’t be able to resign og as is, and wouldn’t be unlikely to be able to keep ihart unless they move Robinson, maybe I’ve heard incorrectly
@@scArisen Yeah so you can always go over the cap to keep your own guys. There are obviously limits to what you can offer them but it’s more so dependent on the player rather than the cap itself.
Now it would be a huge bill for them to keep all the guys but hey if you’re contending then you’re contending haha.

@@_AVC_ OG is now a free agent technically, bridges was his replacement. OG is definitely a thunder now. Only team he has been linked to is OKC and we have the cap space

They can sign I Hart regardless and it won’t change how much they can offer him actually. But I am curious what is out there for a Randall trade.

@@_AVC_ honestly considering what those guys were traded for I feel like denver could’ve gotten both of them. MPJ + young talent for Bridges, and KCP plus picks and young talent for Caruso. The championship window is open NOW and denver needs to make bold moves to add depth and versatility. Can’t afford another season of Booth doing nothing while everyone else gets better.

@@_AVC_ for sure, I thought Bridges $24 mil contract would ease some of the burden of MPJ’s $36 mil next year. You can sell MPJ as a young star in the making with a few years left on his contract. Nnaji’s BS contract can walk too. Then you can always fill out the roster with a couple guys like a Kelly Oubre who signed for like $1 mil last year. They have to figure it out and make it work, can’t let Jokic’s prime slip away.
