I'm really appreciate that you put the different level attribute brackets, it helps alot. I'm still on my first playthrough of elden ring and it's my first from software game. I started out with a pure strength build. Then once i got to the mountain of giants i respeced to a bleed build - arcane and dexterity. I'm level 125, will probably respec to your mage build. Kinda sick of spamming special attack on rivers of blood.
I don’t want to come off as a hater here and appreciate all the effort you put into this guide. It is worth mentioning that Lusats and Carian royal sceptre are the best staves in the game for pure intelligence. It can also be incredibly helpful to have a weapon such as a rapier in your right hand. For lower level builds radagons soreseal is amazing giving you 15 virtual levels for free. There is little point to level your intelligence past 80 as that is the soft cap for damage. Boiled crab is an amazing consumable to boost your tankiness for 60 seconds. Night comet is better FP/damage if you have a staff of loss in your offhand and is invisible. Adulas moon blade and rannis dark moon should not be left out as they are S tier spells. This build is a little too buff focused.
Id say carian regal sceptor is better. Lusats costs 50% more fp but only gives an extra 10% damage. You'd only be able to shoot a handfull of times before you need to redrink mana making your damage output worse overall.
Azure also has the problem of costing too much fp. At the level meta (150) its not worth it but at higher levels where your mind is at the soft cap (50 - 60) its definitely the bettter pick (Note: azure gives 30 staff dexterity while radagon gives 40 and the cap is at 70, so if you have 30 dex and use radagon icon azure staff becomes uterely pointless)
@@pirata2027 yeah I use both lusats and regal. If you are casting full moon or killing easy mobs use carian. Lusats is situation and for high damage dealing. I’m level 125, best range for multiplayer content and have no issues with mana costs when using Lusats honestly

Maybe the best video on builds but the actual build itself, I think there are a fair amount of us that see uncomplicated ways to improve it right off the bat. Like I’m not sure why he’s not using radagons icon and is wasting a huge amount of levels on dexterity and a weaker staff.
Just beat the game. Got all the achievements and destroyed every last boss. This build is legit. Not god tier but in essence guaranteed easy mode for 90% of the game. That being said, SOME skill is still required and this won't work for every boss such as Astel, Rykard, or Elden Beast. Comet and Comet Azur are absolutely fantastic mid and endgame spells but for early game you will have to use Rock Sling until you get em. Terra Magica works ON occasion for SOME bosses but I wouldn't use it for the faster ones like Malenia or Ulcerated Tree. Also I would throw in Ranni's Dark Moon. It's an absolute S tier endgame spell and I think is more or less undodgeable (unlike Comet). Finally I wouldn't level dex over 20. I couldn't notice a reduction in casting speed at all. Those are 10 points better used elsewhere such as stamina or intelligence (for Ranni DM). You can level stamina to 30 by lvl 150 and you can swap out green turtle tailsman for dragon greatshield which I think will work better for this build because you wanna keep your distance from bosses. Thanks a bunch!
Why even level dex to 20 when you could use radagons icon? That’s a free 30 levels in dexterity that you could dump into intelligence or whatever you want

@Gandalf i was referring to the fact that it will only do more damage if u use the staff of loss, which he mentioned in the third line if the comment, if enemies are dodging its just better to use glintstone stars or star shower
@@m00nbutter7 It was in the 3rd line because that is where it belonged. Night Comet is far superior to Comet if they can dodge. I’m just starting journey 2 and I’ve always been melee character, I want to give mage a go but don’t know where to start, like how to I distribute my flasks? What spells should I use as there are sooo many to consider
I'm much more of a fan of Lusats Glintstone Staff, I have it +10, but I do understand the Azur Glintstone Staff here. What I like to do is cast with Lusats Glintstone Staff but have my Azur staff in my off hand so I can still get the extra cast speed. To offset the lack of damage from the Jellyfish Shield, I swapped out the Green Turtle Talisman for the Magic Scorpion Charm. Just some of my personal changes, I really enjoy both versions of the build but I prefer my own because it fits how I play more.
Did you farm runes to get yourself that high? I was only able to kill the big white dragon once (after tail flick I didn't make it back in time). So I've ben dodging the big ball for runes. Any suggestions for rune farming?
But if you want to do it the intended way, the arguably best rune farm in the game is the sleeping albinuracs at mohgwyn palace, a good early game farm is the ball at lennes (lennie’s? Lennis? Idk how to spell it) rise.
really nice build and explanation of why you use what you use. I am fairly new to elden ring, and have been trying to make a magica build (not fond of getting in their faces cause i suck at dodging lol) I am going to try and find some of the items you mentioned to add to my build... Does the armor/outfit you wear matter too much on the build?
Genuine question you focused so much on spell speed so why not use radagons icon for the free 30 dexterity? You could instead sink all 20 or 30 points you would’ve put in dexterity into intelligence which I’m sure would raise damage more than the ritual sword talisman except those are permanent and you don’t need to worry about HP
yes except in this case the jelly fish shield does absolutely nothing for this build at all. it buff "attack power" not "spell/sorcery/incantation power" so essentially its a wasted item. as it doesnt even block 100% physical damage so it's kinda useless
@@anonymous8906 it does buff sorcery. At least I can one shot enemies with the buff on. Otherwise i need two attacks. And i leveled it up so it actually protects quiet well
@@isaacA38 well to test this exact theory, i used a comet on a boss that has more health then i can do with one shot of comet and it did 1131. I than buffed with the shield and did another comet after the buff was applied and the "buffed" comet did 1131. The exact same damage the non buff did. So unless Comet isnt a sorcery idk whats being buffed with it. I also did this with glintstone pebble and glintstone arc and both were the exact same damage numbers.
@@isaacA38 could very well be. depends on what staff you're using. I was using a +9 Lusats Glintstone staff it buffs magic by increasing FP just like Azur's staff with spell speed. but idk why it still wouldn't buff it for.
Post a clip of you fighting elemer the briar as a mage (no summon). Took me a while yesterday, hardest part was casting before that f***** force sword throw
I’m at level 75 and I’ve beaten Rennala, Radahn, made it to the Volcano Manor and I’m currently screwing around on Atlus Plateau cause I don’t know wtf else to do. I’ve cleared out Nokstella, Nokron is still a bitch…I’m too weak to go any farther and farming runes takes forever. I recently went to rebirth with Rennala and I dumped a lot of my point in Intelligence and upgraded the Carian Royal Scepter to +9. I casted Comet Azur and that shit must have been NERFED cause it doesn’t stagger enemies and it’s damage has gone down tremendously. Sigh…
Does the starting class matter? I picked Samurai and realized I’m trash at fighting at Souls games and want something easy as Demon Souls royalty cheese.

Wait ... staffs stack like that? I actually had no idea.
@@billybegood466 I didn’t know you could duel wield staffs like that either
Lov the channel, ty
Can you make a Blackflame or Rotten Build make? Also is a Madness Build very intressting from you
Gonna try this build but I will miss using the blasphemous blade
Blasphemous blade is hard to put down!
glad to see you back on the grind🥶
Thanks for the consistent support 🙏
Very similar to my build. But I throw in moonveil, and other staves too….and more casting specific talismans. 👊 and yeah, it crushes.
Assassin's creed ost at the background I love it
Thank you, from Hungary!
What do you recommend for before level 50? I'm at level 26 now and already have 20 in Mind
Did you farm runes to get yourself that high? I was only able to kill the big white dragon once (after tail flick I didn't make it back in time). So I've ben dodging the big ball for runes. Any suggestions for rune farming?
I just use cheat engine 😂😂😂
But if you want to do it the intended way, the arguably best rune farm in the game is the sleeping albinuracs at mohgwyn palace, a good early game farm is the ball at lennes (lennie’s? Lennis? Idk how to spell it) rise.
"...New to fromsoftware , and not the best when it come to combat." Finally a sentence that describe my entire playtrough
really nice build and explanation of why you use what you use. I am fairly new to elden ring, and have been trying to make a magica build (not fond of getting in their faces cause i suck at dodging lol) I am going to try and find some of the items you mentioned to add to my build...
Does the armor/outfit you wear matter too much on the build?
Armor is purely cosmetic tbh 👍🏻
@@ColdBwoyy I’m also very early still in my first play through. I only have two bosses down and 35 hours logged lol
@@cryodragonbane4614 omg lol🤣
@@palivelarahul1901 i tend to get sidetracked with exploring lol
What do you recommend the stats are for level 175?
I beat elden ring with my own build it was a strength/dexterity so I wanted to try something new a this was great
Genuine question you focused so much on spell speed so why not use radagons icon for the free 30 dexterity? You could instead sink all 20 or 30 points you would’ve put in dexterity into intelligence which I’m sure would raise damage more than the ritual sword talisman except those are permanent and you don’t need to worry about HP
at the start, how did you used comet azur and not end up loosing lot of FP?
Cerulean hidden tear in my wondrous physick!
Would this be good for pvp as well?
question does Graven school and graven mass stack? only just realized you can actually use both
Yes they do, same with the faith talismans
At the time of making this, did you know of Radagon's Icon? Why use Ritual Sword over that?
I basically dont use shields and having a shield that buffs your attack while using one handed weapons (usually staffs) is amazing
yes except in this case the jelly fish shield does absolutely nothing for this build at all. it buff "attack power" not "spell/sorcery/incantation power" so essentially its a wasted item. as it doesnt even block 100% physical damage so it's kinda useless
@@anonymous8906 i use it with komet and it works for me. Maybe its the staff. It also works when i use carian swords magic
@@isaacA38 could very well be. depends on what staff you're using. I was using a +9 Lusats Glintstone staff it buffs magic by increasing FP just like Azur's staff with spell speed. but idk why it still wouldn't buff it for.
Thanks man
Thanks for watching 🙏
prophet class ? or astrologer ?
Which staff is best when you don't need the dex buff?
Is it really worth hitting the 99 Intel or is 80 too low to heavy hit like the video shows?
I can approve this guys, his builds are fire 🔥👌
Thank you 🙏
Post a clip of you fighting elemer the briar as a mage (no summon). Took me a while yesterday, hardest part was casting before that f***** force sword throw
If I wanted to add a sword to this build, what sword would you suggest?
moonlight greatsword
Bro you can wear the full set of banished knight armor and have med load and 71 poise
Hey cold hope ur doing good and staying safe hey when are u droping some division 2 videos am a huge fan
Sigh…
Nice one buddy. Thanks
Does the starting class matter? I picked Samurai and realized I’m trash at fighting at Souls games and want something easy as Demon Souls royalty cheese.
