Very Helpful.... I live in Florida & was planning to go there for an RV, but No Longer after watching several Video's, & seeing their Poor Overall Service. ... mvc
Sorry for all the delays. I know you'll eventually get everything fixed. I have to say, the music you use with the drone shots beats all other channels. Always my favorite part. Looking forward to updates.
Bought mine from a Winnebago dealer in north Georgia, got an out the door price on new unit. No problems ,no issues...wasnt camping world, wasn't lazydays. Just an honest dealer selling an honest product
My first motorhome purchase was from a MAJOR dealer in Texas. It was a Coachmen. There were the typical problems that result from zero CRAFTSMANSHIP in the RV industry, but we dealt with those. But, everytime I opened the black/gray tank cap to dump the tanks, there was a quart or two of fluid that gushed out. I made 4 (FOUR) trips at 250 miles round trip each to drop off the RV because they "had to" keep it over night. Each time, they claimed to have fixed it. Go back and pick it up. Then, same issue. The last time it was there, they claimed to have actually replaced the gate valve, not just the o-rings and seals. Same issue. Eventually, while on a trip, I took it to the leveling system manufacturer in Michigan to fix a minor issue. I explained to the manager (since he was going to have to move the dump pipe and valve) that he needed to be careful when removing the cap because of the leakage. He immediately knew what the problem was because he stated he'd seen it dozens of times. When the RV manufacturer cuts the hole in the holding tank to attach the dump line fitting, they don't remove the "plug" that's created (would take all of about 15 seconds, but they don't have time), and then, eventually, it gets lodged in the gate valve so that it isn't closing properly. So the problem was fixed in about 20 minutes TOTAL. And, after seeing the plug myself as he removed it, it was obvious to me that the dealer I bought the motorhome from had flat-out LIED about even working on the issue. Talk about being soured on a company. I'll NEVER buy another RV from them, PERIOD. And I hear that this isn't an isolated incident in the RV business. One horror story after another. If someone can figure out how to build a quality RV and then back it up with half-way decent service, and actually DO what they PROMISE to do, they'll be a gazillionaire.
Unfortunately we have heard similar stories from other rv'ers and unlike the automobile industry most RVs are pretty much hand made and subject to human nature which can be a major flaw.
Bob and Pearl, Sounds like you have time for a trip to Ybor City, sorry they held you over. Figures I would be out of town this week end. I live 20 minutes from Lazy Days. Welcome to Tampa. Bruce & Sue
Hi Bruce, I thought you two lived in Miami, I guess that is the old age kicking in. With a little luck, I sure hope we are back on the road in a couple of days but I am finding out fast that my hopes and wishes are not on the list or priorities for the folks here at Lazydays......
Hi, just found you on my YT recommended videos. I hope that by now Monday 4 Feb, they have gotten to your RV. Like many of the others have stated, you are so cool and calm under the stress of how this place is functioning. Thumbs up...subscribed. I like your calm down to earth presentations. Good advice as well. Drone shots fantastic.
Great video Bob,......can't wait for the follow-up parts #2,.......and maybe #3? We need more people like you to document your experiences at all the various dealers you work with along the way.. People need to know that everything you have come to expect from a car dealer has NOTHING in common at all with an RV repair facility. You need to find a place that you can work with. You cannot afford to burn bridges by being too hard to work with. There are only so many good ones!! We all need to expose the bad ones, and praise the good ones. On our Travel Channel, we have reviewed our experience with National Indoor RV Centers. We were treated fairly, they were professional, accommodating to our full time living schedule and have four facilities spread out across the US. They are the go-to place for us!
I totally agree with your comment and we are trying to keep an open mind as they are very busy and we can't expect to get in the front of the line, and it does appear things are getting done and ordering and receiving parts is the big hurdle. But looking like we may only have a couple more days before we get out on the road again
I love watching your videos. What a loving couple and your video shows the frustrations of slow service. I agree with parts, finding and ordering. I experienced this when I went to pick up my first motorhome 10/2018. So happy with the way I was treated, excellent service because the stress test they did on my MH brought up a crankcase leak, refrigerator failed, signal switch failed, leak in the propane, both air units were not working properly, alternator issues (oh many more smaller things). They replaced all of this included in the purchase price but finding parts for a 1991 Foretravel ... I definitely feel your pain but mine only took 7 days. At the time I thought that was bad.
It sounds like you had a great experience and I agree 7 days seems like a long time, but it appears it was time well spent with good results. Thanks for the insight and we are hoping for some good results also next week.
Well that's it, if you need parts and they're not in stock, you have to wait. Now you go back in line. Every dealership, whether it be car trunk, boat, RV, motorcycle, all operate the same way. I'm sure they are out of parts if people always come in with the same issues, sideout motors, valves, switches. Those parts go out as fast as they come in. It's life, just except it and be glad you're in good hands there.
Just a wild guess, but I guess you havent watched much of our series on Lazydays. The issue is much more that back ordered parts. But we all live and learn.
We like them also, and from what folks are telling me, they are great to purchase your RV from but some seem to have had issues with getting maintenance done. We will reserve our opinion until our little adventure is finished up here at Lazydays and will be sure to share it. We are really hoping for a happy ending
Sometimes it is better to go to a smaller RV service business because you are a little more important to them. Make sure to research any RV service center. Online comments usually give you an idea of how your visit will turn out (check the dates of the reviews).
This is a little off your your current subject but my wife Teri and I would love to see you do a video as to what you carry with you on a daily basis. what do you carry in your basement, how much clothing do you feel you need, what kitchen stuff do you have and how much. do you carry extra stuff in your tow vehicle. I feel teri thinks and wants to bring more stuff that we need or can carry. help us out
Hi Larry, that is all good stuff and it would probably make a good video. I assure you our bays are jammed full, the car is jammed full and our closets are jammed full. We need to downsize again. Once we get to a campground and set up , it pretty much clears out the car but we are caring around lots of items we never even touch, see or use. Making a video would help clear it out, but probably cause a mild debate between us so not sure I am ready to open that can of worms just yet.
I like the way you keep the “Hammer” on reserve and give them the benefit of the doubt. Attitude is everything - hope it all works out!, Looking forward the follow up - keep up the excellent work.
Thanks Sam, I think they really try to do a good job, they are just a big operation and with human nature figured in things can get a little sloppy sometimes. We are hoping for the best.
I bought a new motorhome from a large dealer in Michigan and the service was terrible. There prices were the cheapest as far as buying the RV, as we did shop around a bit, and there was only 2 of this particular model that we wanted in the US and they were both at this dealer. I believe the reason service is poor, is they are just to big, there is no personalism it's like a factory! My next purchase will be from a small dealer, because everyone knows these things break down all the time especially when they are brand new!!! Great video very fair! Thank you.
Bob, you have more patience than I would have had. Resealing the roof and you miss those places? Come on! I have never been a big fan of Lazydays anyway, having dealt with them over the years. At least they are allowing you to stay with your rig. Not many service centers allow that. I wish you luck in having all your issues taken care of, but again, you are paying for it big time!
Bob and Pearl, You have such a good calm attitude! Hoping they get your work done soon. Glad you look everything over well and don't just assume they will do it right. Make sure he gets the roof sealing done right! Regards, Kathy
What was mentioned ... over 200 bays? The tech that was working on your coach had a doctor's appointment and they didn't have another tech that could take over? That leads me to believe they only have a few tech's on site and they don't cover for each other (like MOST service departments do).
I noticed that I didn't see any Prevost coaches there?? I think that alone says it all, lol I think that it's high time that the government checks out these RV dealerships and repair depots, especially with the big money that people spend on these RVs when they tie up some people for a couple of weeks at a time and don't even compensate them for anything. It's nothing for them to inconvenience you for a couple of weeks with the old parts are on backorder, but, it takes them less than 1 minute to take your money from you when you buy these RVs from them. Then after that they don't care about you, they already got the money for the RV now your at their mercy waiting for your coach to get repaired.
what a great couple you are and yes the puppy loved it when your pup walked across the dash, are you handleing the delays ok . I hope so all the best on your travels Ken and Tiger from Mn
There is a reason why most of these huge RV dealerships are in Florida and it's not the weather. It is because the laws protect them far more than the consumer.
If it's going to be a NEW one BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially, if they sense you are inexperienced-forget it you will be RAPED! I went with a friend of mine t buy a new RV and acted like i was new like the person i was with, ran the numbers and they overcharge by 30% if THEY can! MUCH worse than buying a car!
Duane RENT one for a Week or two before you buy! I didn't rent first and I am disgusted with the overall mile per gallon on our 2005 36' Rexhal Rexair with only 15,000 miles on it when we purchased. We took a 1,200 mile trip from North Port Florida to Atlanta Georgia a 600 mile one-way trip. Fuel cost for the Trip was $4,653.00! I made the mistake of loading up the refrigerator and freezer with food and drinks. My fridge is run on propane or 120VAC. So as we drove I had to run the generator which takes a gallon per hour. It also powers the roof Top AC Units. Rent First, Rent First, Rent First!
Thank so much to everyone for helping me with my transition to the RV life.all you tuber videos. I'm new sub to your channel. And I loved. Thanks again.
I totally get what you mean about falling through the crack. We have found that if we don’t stay on top of their job, that crack gets bigger & bigger. Computers are only as good as the one entering information! Hope they have you on the road sooner than later. Best of luck. 😊🇺🇸
@@JustPassingThru Thank you for your response. I have heard and read where having work done on RVs is tough because RV dealers are great in sales but lousy in service. Also, most RV owners want to have their service done at the same time.
Lazy Days are TOO big. Communication between departments are poor at best. Time for me to go home and nobody there could find my camper... Had to walk around with the key fob pushing the panic alarm to locate it. Nice! I still visit their campground. Dog friendly & nice folks.
I am not surprised by your story, and I agree they are almost too big, while they do provide a lot of service and expertise, I am not sure they are nearly efficient as they should be with all the personnel and tools at their disposal. I am anxious to see just how our adventure at Lazydays ends up.
You said Lazy days was great... funny! You sound like its your first time at a Lazy days. The rest of us have had it with them.. especially with the service department. Good luck sir!
I am not surprised that they are on the expensive side of things, but it does appear they have the tools to do it right. We will just have to wait and see how our little adventure ends up with them. Here is hoping for a happy ending
They have a Restuerant i guess they hold you over so you can spend money....if their that big you’d think they have all the parts at their facility...insane.
Here in the Tampa area all the RV dealers are so busy they can't keep up. Lazy days camping world etc. They are making money to the point they don't care if you are happy or not.
They definitely are big and busy, but this is our first time at a lazydays so we will just have to wait and see how our adventure goes. Hoping for the Best
I bought at Lazydays and they were so friendly and helpful UNTIL THEY GOT MY CHECK AND THEN THEY DISAPPEARED! THE PROBLEM WITH SERVICE IS THEY ARE TO LARGE AND TO MANY CHIEFS! IF YOU WANT SERVICE FIND SMALL RV CENTER SOMEWHERE! AS ONE GUY SAID THEY ARE MAKING SO MUCH MONEY ON SALES THEY ARE REALLY NOT THAT CONCERNED TO MUCH ABOUT SERVICE. I HAD SOME WARRANTY ISSUES AND I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD DO IT THE DAY I BROUGHT IT IN. I WAS THERE 7 DAYS!!!
I agree with a lot of what you say and feel they are really missing a managerial position where after trying to get your issue resolved an individual could bring their problem to someone with the knowledge and authority to resolve it in a fair manner. The customer isn't actually always right, but the customer does always deserve the right to have it explained in a manner that is understandable and timely. Something is simply missing in the Lazydays operational structure I feel.
The RV repair industry is rife with this type of shenanigans doesn’t matter what “world” “center” or “days” you go to. I’ve had RVs in service for up to 8 months. Finding mobile techs that can do most work is best bet but when you have a major repair such as slides or jacks you are in a bind.
You may be in no man's land, you are great knowing the state of your rig and how it should be in tip top shape but expecting them to match with such care is not happening. As the old saying goes, if you want something done right, do it yourself. There may be a service center somewhere with such detail but it seems that a huge dealer should only be used for emergency items and then hound them but only for that one thing. No one is going to properly seal your roof like you would. Anywho, the sign at the beginning says it all, resort and rentals, notice they don't stick service up on that sign, just saying.
Most of the problems people get charged for like part s .is not needed remember that guy doing the work gets paid Salary. And a lot of COMMISSION. Like that slide out parts you really didn't need but you were about to pay for. Of course You don't want to go to CAMPING WORLD YOU WOULD never get it done right. I've seen senior citizens be taken to the cleaner because some idiot in the shops would say you got to have this and that. Good Luck. with your MONEY. Oh. I love your shows.and you got a lot of WISDOM in road travel. So don't let anyone take you for granted
Big Monaco=Big Money!!! Top of the line RV and they go out of business?? The RV industry is very shady!! They need to pay their technicians more and try to keep the good ones.
Lazy Days service is absolutely terrible. We had an appointment scheduled four months out, by the time we left a week after arriving, they fixed one out of four things. I fixed two others and one remains. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!
Lots of truth there, but there is probably a buyer for it all and eventually will be sold. They really are busy here and RVs are moving in and out all day long.
They are just to big. I would not buy or get service from this company. They are awful. They have ripped off several-of my friends. I blame ownership, and shitty management. The lady in service who is the manager is just a big rude lying county backwoods hick. She has zero managerial skills. This place needs to revamp everything. They just suck man. This guy is way to nice.
Bob & Pearl, Is it just me......you can't get anything done today! Roofing? Plumbing? Carpenter?Eletc. ? Auto mech? Doctors? Simple things? @70 yo DIY is out of the question! Hey! We are retired (Retarded), we are going to give it our +++BEST+++ ($$$) !!!! LOL CAJUN :-))))
I think things have been going down hill for a lot of years, I really don't hardly ever expect to receive great service anymore and it is always a big shock when we actually do receive it. Things have changed a lot, but that is just the way it is, so we have to accept it generally. But retirement life has helped me to deal with it and life is so darn good now days, not much gets me too fired up anymore. Helps the blood pressure too.
Usually Service is the cash cow, not sales, so this place must be making a killing on sales to be able to have the service they lack. In the end it boils down to one person, the General manager. He/she is the overseeing eye, and if they can't get the crew to work together, this is the outcome. Hate to say it, but a Certified Parts person for one brand is bogus! The majority of the parts in all these RV's are from various manufacturers, and not inclusive to any one particular brand. They are not like cars and trucks where you can go to a Dealer to get a seat or controls or modules. Plenty of the parts in RV's can be found on Amazon! One thing I found out, the chassis of many different brands and models all come from one supplier. Same goes for Motorhomes, they use a standard chassis from either GM, Dodge or Ford. The only unique items are body panels. No certified parts person, what a bogus excuse. Hope at the very least when they were done they did the h=job right, and I hope you got them to finish the roof repairs before you left.
I don't know, but maybe someone reading this knows...do they use child labor at that place? The reason I ask is because that caulking looks like a kindergartner did it! 😁
why are you making excuses for them, they run a poor operation and if you would have googled them before you went there you would have known that, plus their prices are way out of line not to mention your lost time, i never use an rv dealer for service, comfortable chairs and good coffee are not worth the added cost and time
Very Helpful.... I live in Florida & was planning to go there for an RV, but No Longer after watching several Video's, & seeing their Poor Overall Service. ... mvc

Bob, now I know we'll be better off in a 5ver. At least we wont have to live in a shop.
Good luck.
Good Point, we have thought about that a couple of times
Bob and Pearl,
You have such a good calm attitude! Hoping they get your work done soon.
Glad you look everything over well and don't just assume they will do it right.

Nice information 👍👍😊 thanks for sharing
You are sure welcome
Was that a big black tank streak in the front of the entrance gate?
Very admirable attitude and patience! I hope it works out well for you guys...but I’m thinking you’re going to do fine regardless.

I was treated so poorly when I was shopping for a new coach at Lazydays, I wouldn’t go there for free air.
I've heard that before as well.
Yep.
We are definitely hoping to be the exception, but we won't know for a few more days.
what a great couple you are and yes the puppy loved it when your pup walked across the dash, are you handleing the delays ok . I hope so all the best on your travels Ken and Tiger from Mn
Thanks, I think we are getting close to wrapping things up and heading out early next week. Tinker is ready and so are Pearl and I
Judging from some of the other comments, this place is aptly named....LAZY DAYS!
we have our fingers crossed that it will be a happy ending
There is a reason why most of these huge RV dealerships are in Florida and it's not the weather. It is because the laws protect them far more than the consumer.
They are in Florida because that is where the customer base is.
I don't own an rv (yet) so I'm not familiar how this works but 10 days? You guys are a lot nicer than what I would be.
We are lucky that we really dont have any time constraints for a couple more weeks so the delay in our repairs haven't hurt too much (yet)

Pearl your hair looks amazing!
You said Lazy days was great... funny! You sound like its your first time at a Lazy days. The rest of us have had it with them.. especially with the service department. Good luck sir!
I called them yesterday for a quote on maintenance they are about double what it should be, hopefully you have better luck.
I am not surprised that they are on the expensive side of things, but it does appear they have the tools to do it right. We will just have to wait and see how our little adventure ends up with them. Here is hoping for a happy ending
Double is MUCH better than TRIPLE here in California:(
You're a very fair man. Just reporting the facts with a very positive attitude.
They have a Restuerant i guess they hold you over so you can spend money....if their that big you’d think they have all the parts at their facility...insane.
Talk to Great escape about there service on his new Entegra
1.18 minutes look at the waste on the ground!!!! RV turns to the right and poop leaks out of the open valve!!
oopsie....
What i notice there are need for a Logistics Managemet team for tracking
Too bad you didn't see the video posted by the couple from France that stated lazy days is the worst dealership they've ever seen
The RV repair industry is rife with this type of shenanigans doesn’t matter what “world” “center” or “days” you go to. I’ve had RVs in service for up to 8 months. Finding mobile techs that can do most work is best bet but when you have a major repair such as slides or jacks you are in a bind.
RV maintenance is a tough situation, luckily we can do most of it ourselves.
Great job lazy days. Not🙄🙄🙄
You may be in no man's land, you are great knowing the state of your rig and how it should be in tip top shape but expecting them to match with such care is not happening.
Experience.
To big for their Britches (locate if not under warranty smaller rv repair shops) This lazy daze place will keep you in a daze run away!
We are waiting to make our opinion until it is all finished and see if they fixed things and charged roughly whet they estimated.
Most of the problems people get charged for like part s .is not needed
remember that guy doing the work gets paid
Salary. And a lot of COMMISSION.
Like that slide out parts
you really didn't need but you were about to pay for. Of course
You don't want to go to
CAMPING WORLD YOU WOULD never get it done right.
I don't see any faults in your logic, I totally agree
Lazy Days service is absolutely terrible. We had an appointment scheduled four months out, by the time we left a week after arriving, they fixed one out of four things. I fixed two others and one remains. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!
Looks like 10 acres of service bays...…...just shows you how much crap is manufactured by RV companies.
Lots of truth there, but there is probably a buyer for it all and eventually will be sold. They really are busy here and RVs are moving in and out all day long.
I wouldn’t get lazy lazy time a day they don’t care about you only care about making a sale 😥
Several videos the service management here is extremely poor.
You shouldn't have any hassle like this.
I agree, but it is still just another chapter in life and will add to our campfire stories once the pain has gone away
Excuses and more excuses and more waiting......
I don't know, but maybe someone reading this knows...do they use child labor at that place? The reason I ask is because that caulking looks like a kindergartner did it! 😁
Typical Lazydays. Many stories like this.
Wow I hear to much b.s coming from lazy days....I will not go anyway near!!!!
Having big repairs done on a class A or any rv is generally going to be an unpleasant experience but we are hoping for a happy ending
why are you making excuses for them, they run a poor operation and if you would have googled them before you went there you would have known that, plus their prices are way out of line not to mention your lost time, i never use an rv dealer for service, comfortable chairs and good coffee are not worth the added cost and time
Wow. You must be on their payroll. People this is the worst rated dealer in the country.
No, that is, hands down, Camping World. I mean survey after survey has been done and CW always gets about 90% of the vote for worst RV dealership.
