This video is to show you how fish appear on your screen. This model does not have side scan. You could turn your transducer but the results would be the same and your depth would show a false readings
Thanks, I wonder why the block obstacle didn't show up on the sonar? I have noticed this on my own. Why does structures not show up? Another question please, The sonar reading depth range shows up as a zone with in the settings. I want to have the depth shown without a zoning. Is this feature available.
The structure has to be in the sonar beam, the fish in the video have passed under it. Depth readings show up on your top right hand corner and also on the side. Use auto depth
Hi! I'm really impressed how simple you explain so complex device. Your video is reflecting your unbelievable skill over these kinda device. I have a question for you, i would like to know what you think. I'm on my way to buy a "pocket size" sonar for bottom scanning and not for fishing. I'm not a fisherman, maybe some later time. So, i saw this cute Garmin sonar and was thinking is it possible to use it for scanning objects on the bottom and ahow maybe wracks and bottom structure? I need to make pictures of the bottom and put into my books and if coordinates are also possible to save that would give more precise details of my writings. Is this little guy good for such of bottom watching ? Can it save a picture and transfer it to a computer or something like that? What you think about the purpose of my need and this sonar? Thank you very much for any help or suggestions.
No you will not be able to transfer to a laptop. You would need something better than this. The highest frequency is only 800 khz For more detailed structures you will need a transducer with a higher frequency, 1200khz.
I'm searching for something which can show bottom structure like a smaller car shell or a tree log etc. in that size. I don't really need very very high detals. Thank you for your effort to helping.
@@christianrobertadzic9321 I understand what you want cause I love looking for stuff underwater, the problem is saving it and downloading it. I also do a lot of underwater photography using a fishing camera, take a look at this short video I made. ua-cam.com/video/rhxhR2pn7Qw/v-deo.html
Thanks I will write them down . Traditional 200 and clearve is at 455. Low frequency wide angle beam and higher frequency has narrow beam. In shallow water use lower frequency
I am using Ape man , they have a great light sensor. One of the best I have found for underwater. And they are not expensive at all. Check their website
Hopefully, you can help, yesterday was my maiden voyage on my kayak. I have the exact same fish finder. I have yhe transducer round part facing foward under my oldtown sportsman kayak trolling motor on my stern, I know yhere was fish button none were showing up on my finder? any reasons why?. tomm. im gonna a put the fish symbols on Hopefully that helps
If your in shallow waters 20 or 30 foot deep use traditional at lower frequency it gives wide beam an covers more area. watch this short video it might help. ua-cam.com/video/KqBoHv3sZts/v-deo.html
Yes even even clear Ve will make an object floating as a line when your not moving. That's why your fish finder only bleeps or gives of a ping when it is a fish.
That's why I use a split screen one on low frequency, gives wider beam and the other on a higher frequency with a narrow beam. If they enter the higher frequency beam they are closer to your boat.🙂
Best beginner video I’ve seen on the garmin so far. Well done.
Thanks alot a very inspiring commet 😁
Love it
Thank you so much for your time and support and this very useful video. Well done ❤
Best tutorial so far thanks

Nice video, deserves a sub!

Go for a larger model that takes an SD. I will take a look at what models allow snapshot of screen

i want one of these for my kayak having hard time finding these bass lol
It will only show what's under your boat. You got to practically go over the fish 🐟
Thank you
Kindly what’s ur beam setting can u share plz for both traditional and clear view

Remember, it's all in the camera settings.

What line diameter do you use whilst fishing with bread
I use a 15 lb line. Depending on how big the fish are.
Hopefully, you can help, yesterday was my maiden voyage on my kayak. I have the exact same fish finder. LOL I thought the numbers on the fish was the length.
That would be great if it was. However you can see the fish are showing different sides.
Everything in the water shows up as a fish when u have the symbols on, weed equals fish symbol

The hard part is to figure out where to throw your line out at .
Yep, you never know from where they are coming from. In deep waters they could be 50 feet away from your boat and you don't know which side
That's why I use a split screen one on low frequency, gives wider beam and the other on a higher frequency with a narrow beam. If they enter the higher frequency beam they are closer to your boat.🙂
