Daren, I have watched a lot your videos over the last couple of years. I have a learned a lot from watching you. I made my own Kydex keel guard for my Native Titan X 10.5 among other modifications. I also follow you for your fishing tips because I fish similar conditions as I live in northeast Indiana. With all that said, I am considering adding a fish finder to my kayak. I know you used the Garmin Striker 4 and you have upgraded to the Garmin UHD 92SV/93SV. I have the budget to jump to the Garmin UHD 93SV or higher and believe in the "buy once cry once" moto. But I am not sure of what I am getting for the money over the Striker 4. I understand the general specs and you get a larger screen, upgraded transducer, clearer image, and additional features. My question is more qualitative. Since you have used and understand both units. Do you feel the tradeoff of deck space, simplicity, and the ability to locate fish, and structure is worth the upgrade after your time of using both units? Do you think you locate and catch a lot more fish by using the 92SV unit vs the Striker 4 or just a little more? Maybe a video comparing and contrasting the differences, or any pros and cons of upgrading.
Hey Don... it's night and day brother. Mostly because of SideVu. That was a game changer once I could locate underwater structure 100feet off both sides of my kayak. GAME CHANGER and solid unit. 93SV is solid and increased my game this past year 100%

Garmin STRIKER Vivid 4 CV fishfinder one question if you can answer me. On the pond I save for example brightness 85%, CONTRAST 75%, AND AFTER I TURN OFF THE SONAR, AND THE NEXT TIME ON THE POND I TURN IT ON, I LOSE THE BRIGHTNESS SETTING, THE MEMORY IS AUTOMATIC, CONTRAST 75% REMEMBERS IT.. brightness 85% No why

That little battery pack is a beast!
I just got one of these for my new yak on Black Friday. I was gonna wing it but hey, how could I turn down a quick 10min guide.
Can I just hook it up to my trolling motor battery?
If its a 12vt trolling battery yes
FYI the striker 4 will run from 6-12v
Website says 10-20 VDC .... you can get it to run on 6?

Are you setting it through the settings menu or just through your power button? Settings > System > Display > Backlight.
