This show is amazing. Blood Reina? Jaha starting a cult cruccifing ppl? Clexa? Clarke killing Finn? Maya dying and Jasper just slowly getting into a nihilistic depression and killing himself? Second nuclear blast? Clark finding Maddie and then baking a new Grounder while attacking the new prisoners who landed? The red eclipse? All amazing. Loved it so much. Last season was weird af, could live without it tbh but man I love this show.

The season 5 finale was definitely a perfect series ending. Although there were some really cool sci-fi concepts introduced in 6 & 7. Ultimately bad plot and character writing ruined those last seasons. Im more of a Bellarke fan but after rewatching episodes I really liked Lexa’s character. So either relationship would have been nice.

i never finished the show, i stopped somewhere in season 5, but oh it was so good, i loved how they were never afraid to kill people. sometimes it was painful (never forgetting lexa),but most times i was always gagged they were just down for it. and also, the fact that every season our main characters were separated, it was always crazy. i think maybe that's why i couldn't really continue s5, cuz a 5 year time jump was like too much character change, i was afraid lmao. and i know the time jumps get crazier after that.

The 100 is one of my all time favorite shows and it's the most frustrating yet amazing show I've seen. It has such a well rounded cast and character development, many strong female leads that SLAY, and does a fantastic job delving into many topics shows don't usually address especially at the time. I certainly feel like it doesn't get the recognition it deserves and not many people talk about this show so I'm loving this series!!
This show was my HYPERFIXATION years ago. I followed news accounts of it on Insta, watched edits, and knew a bunch of trivia. (I still remember it lol) So to answer your question on Callie. They couldn't afford Kelly Hu(her actress) as she is quite big, mainly in the voice acting industry. She played Cheshire in Young Justice and is prominent in Mortal Kombat games. So they wrote her off and said they floated her. Ps: I think they said they only killed Wells for shock value, then when the books were released after they wrote and filmed they were like "Well fuck"
I can excuse the accent slips because they're on a spaceship full of different nationalities for years but that's the least of my issues with the show lmao. That being said, still love this show even tho it was insane most of the time and I am absolutely a Murphy stan, even though he's meant to be "bad" ig? Raven and Murphy's development is one of my favourite relationships (and the fact they stayed entirely platonic) in any show from that era tbh.
As humans we all have different taste in videos/podcasts delivery and I must say there’s just something about a whiteboard breakdown that hooks me in. This show is my comfort show, I adore it and watched it over again soo many times. Season 5 is my favorite because of the Octavia arc, she really ate that up. I love how sick and twisted the writers are and not afraid to reeeeally go to the darkness of humanity. Also how the characters don’t have underserved growth, every character earns their arcs and doesn’t just get handed happiness and mental health on a platter like so many shows do. It’s actually a great show and hope the spinoff gets picked up again
OH MY GOD i didn't know i have been waiting for someone to cover the 100 in this format ughh it just fell into my lap thank you this show is just off the rails
One small detail that kind of bugged me, since the shows goes into the theories of the different “colonies” “evolved”, is that everyone from the Arc(even the Mountain Men) should have reduced vision, or at least would be nearsighted to some degree. They lived their entire lives inside structures that never would have helped their eyes develop the ability to see long distances; staring into space is so infinite our brains can’t comprehend it and it can lead eye/brain damage, you have to make sure there is an object your eyes focus on when looking into space and there’s very few “objects” throughout space. There have been cases and studies of people living in confined areas from long durations and they lose their ability to see farther than a few feet. When Abby lands on Earth and is describing what’s around her back to Java, she’s on top of a landscape with a *huge* view, not to mention the direct natural sunlight that she wouldn’t be used to. She should’ve been struggling to see and not able to take in the wonders around her, it would’ve been very overwhelming to say the least. Could’ve also added an interesting story element, with our main protagonist’s having to find ways around their diminished eyesight compared to the shows antagonists.
I was obsessed with this show in middle school, and I’m so excited someone is doing a recap on it! Looking back on it, it’s hard to believe this show aired on the CW, the production just seems so high for a CW show. Also remembering some of the later seasons, the show gets extremely dark for a network that usually seems to focus on more conventional teen drama tropes. Overall I think it’s kind of a stand out show for its time. I’m really excited for you to cover the rest of the show!
I watched the 100 for the first few seasons but i have never been more burned in my life than what they did with Lexa. Clarke and Lexa had the BEST chemistry! Lincoln and Lexa deserved better. I never watched again after that
It's actually Bellamy and Clarke who date in the books if I'm remembering correctly, which adds an extra layer into their characters and 'relationship' in the show (I'm such a Bellamy/Clarke girl)
I loved the addition of Finn and Clarke, added a little drama, but definitely was drawn out. As the season went on and you could see the chemistry between Clarke and Bellamy, I WISH they played on that more.

The 100 was such a wild ride!!! The drama and shock factor was top tier- like GOT or Spartacus. Easily one of the wildest shows the CW put out as well (it was giving Starz/ HBO) 😂

My friends and I use the 100 as a drinking game. Every time something happens that makes no sense, we take a shot of vodka. We usually get black out by the end of like two episodes. But it somehow gets funnier, the more drunk we get

I've never seen the 100, but I was into a lot of other YA books at the time, so the fandoms had a lot of crossover and I would hear about the show a lot. This video is doing God's work at explaining what sounds like such a complex and dramatic show 💀
Callie is played by Kelly Hu and she actually has a very successful career, probably more so than the rest of The 100's cast. She was even in a CW show at about the same time, that being Arrow that she's in multiple episodes of and was a more successful show than 100 in general
Started this probably a year ago and got through S1&2, but just started back up and this is perfect recap! My husband said it was one of his favorite shows and it’s something to watch together but I was so confused when we picked it back up at season 3 😅 thanks for your hard work on this!!

This show had so much potential to be great but refused to be good. It was held back by CWesque writing and tropes that didn't need to be there, along with sloppy or rushed character development. Octavia is my favorite, but the amount of development she had in 3 episodes in season 1 should have happened over the first 2 seasons (she's still great, though). Finn is one of the most poorly-written characters I've ever seen. And the showrunner's dislike of Bellamy's actor really showed in the later seasons. I'm not a huge enemies-to-lovers girlie, but Clarke and Bellamy were the perfect candidates for being a well-written, slow-burn version of that. The two actors even eloped while the show was still airing; they had the chemistry, and their characters ended up together in the books. Don't even get me started on the way some deaths were handled. I didn't realize I still had a lot of feelings about this show years later, but here we are. I've never watched a single The 100 video on youtube, but the algorithm knew something about myself I didn't, apparently lol. Settling into this deep-dive.

Omg I finally found someone who matches my energy about The 100, I know every actor and every character and every outfit and cast member and clan and lore and behind the stage drama out there and I at last found someone who gets it. I’ve watched the whole video and I only found one mistake, the show us pronounced “the hundred” not “the one hundred” but it took me a long time to figure that out, I love this whole debunk so much, may I also mention I taught myself Trigedasleng because I could and I wanted to understand the grounders without looking at the translations already provided.
I can’t even explain how much I love and appreciate this video. when I saw it in my suggested I clicked so hard I’m surprised my laptop didn’t break. These types of videos are my absolute fav and I don’t ever see anyone talking about the 100!!!! Cant wait for the other parts!! I used to watch this show and then ragequit it in one of the seasons, and I don't even remember which season it was. There was a point in which I disliked most of the main characters, but the character I consistently loved was Octavia. And then there was a season where, well, I did not enjoy watching the direction they'd taken Octavia. I've been advised that I should try again, that there were good reasons for the way the story had gone, and that there would be payoff. But I don't remember where I left off, and I definitely need a refresh on the series overall. So this is perfect! Thank you!

This show is my comfort show, I adore it and watched it over again soo many times. Season 5 is my favorite because of the Octavia arc, she really ate that up.
I love how sick and twisted the writers are and not afraid to reeeeally go to the darkness of humanity. Also how the characters don’t have underserved growth, every character earns their arcs and doesn’t just get handed happiness and mental health on a platter like so many shows do. It’s actually a great show and hope the spinoff gets picked up again

OH MY GOD i didn't know i have been waiting for someone to cover the 100 in this format ughh it just fell into my lap thank you this show is just off the rails
One small detail that kind of bugged me, since the shows goes into the theories of the different “colonies” “evolved”, is that everyone from the Arc(even the Mountain Men) should have reduced vision, or at least would be nearsighted to some degree. They lived their entire lives inside structures that never would have helped their eyes develop the ability to see long distances; staring into space is so infinite our brains can’t comprehend it and it can lead eye/brain damage, you have to make sure there is an object your eyes focus on when looking into space and there’s very few “objects” throughout space.
There have been cases and studies of people living in confined areas from long durations and they lose their ability to see farther than a few feet.
When Abby lands on Earth and is describing what’s around her back to Java, she’s on top of a landscape with a *huge* view, not to mention the direct natural sunlight that she wouldn’t be used to. She should’ve been struggling to see and not able to take in the wonders around her, it would’ve been very overwhelming to say the least.
Could’ve also added an interesting story element, with our main protagonist’s having to find ways around their diminished eyesight compared to the shows antagonists.
I was obsessed with this show in middle school, and I’m so excited someone is doing a recap on it! Looking back on it, it’s hard to believe this show aired on the CW, the production just seems so high for a CW show. Also remembering some of the later seasons, the show gets extremely dark for a network that usually seems to focus on more conventional teen drama tropes. Overall I think it’s kind of a stand out show for its time. I’m really excited for you to cover the rest of the show!

I watched the 100 for the first few seasons but i have never been more burned in my life than what they did with Lexa. Clarke and Lexa had the BEST chemistry! Lincoln and Lexa deserved better. I never watched again after that

It's actually Bellamy and Clarke who date in the books if I'm remembering correctly, which adds an extra layer into their characters and 'relationship' in the show (I'm such a Bellamy/Clarke girl)

I loved the addition of Finn and Clarke, added a little drama, but definitely was drawn out.
As the season went on and you could see the chemistry between Clarke and Bellamy, I WISH they played on that more.

I found the show in 2022 on Amazon Prime, binge watched it 7 times by now and honestly its iconic. I didn't think it would become this moral driven crisis but I was so in for the ride till the end. Especially Season 2,3 and 4 are the peak of it, AND I LOVE OCTAVIA OMG

The 100 was such a wild ride!!! The drama and shock factor was top tier- like GOT or Spartacus. Easily one of the wildest shows the CW put out as well (it was giving Starz/ HBO) 😂
i was like 13/14 at the time of season 3 airing and i was so hyperfixated that when i tell u lexa's death traumatized me i'm not kidding i don't think i watched a single episode of this show after 3x07
i was 16 when they killed lexa but i did watch to the end of s3 but that was it. i only finished the show two years ago and my god they were running out of ideas by the time the last few seasons came around

I literally just binged this entire show and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately being finished with season 7 I have no more of The 100 to watch anymore and that is sad. Great show and definitely worth watching.
I've never seen the 100, but I was into a lot of other YA books at the time, so the fandoms had a lot of crossover and I would hear about the show a lot. This video is doing God's work at explaining what sounds like such a complex and dramatic show 💀

Callie is played by Kelly Hu and she actually has a very successful career, probably more so than the rest of The 100's cast. She was even in a CW show at about the same time, that being Arrow that she's in multiple episodes of and was a more successful show than 100 in general

Started this probably a year ago and got through S1&2, but just started back up and this is perfect recap! My husband said it was one of his favorite shows and it’s something to watch together but I was so confused when we picked it back up at season 3 😅 thanks for your hard work on this!!
fucking love how Murphys whole character is just a wordplay on murphys law, this show was my teen obsession i have seen it an UNGODLYYY amount of times
This show had so much potential to be great but refused to be good. It was held back by CWesque writing and tropes that didn't need to be there, along with sloppy or rushed character development. Octavia is my favorite, but the amount of development she had in 3 episodes in season 1 should have happened over the first 2 seasons (she's still great, though). Finn is one of the most poorly-written characters I've ever seen. And the showrunner's dislike of Bellamy's actor really showed in the later seasons. I'm not a huge enemies-to-lovers girlie, but Clarke and Bellamy were the perfect candidates for being a well-written, slow-burn version of that. The two actors even eloped while the show was still airing; they had the chemistry, and their characters ended up together in the books. Don't even get me started on the way some deaths were handled. I didn't realize I still had a lot of feelings about this show years later, but here we are. I've never watched a single The 100 video on youtube, but the algorithm knew something about myself I didn't, apparently lol. Settling into this deep-dive.

Omg I finally found someone who matches my energy about The 100, I know every actor and every character and every outfit and cast member and clan and lore and behind the stage drama out there and I at last found someone who gets it. I’ve watched the whole video and I only found one mistake, the show us pronounced “the hundred” not “the one hundred” but it took me a long time to figure that out, I love this whole debunk so much, may I also mention I taught myself Trigedasleng because I could and I wanted to understand the grounders without looking at the translations already provided.
I should note I only finished the final season myself on Thursday and let me just say what they did to Madi was VILE, ABSOLUTELY uncalled for

I used to watch this show and then ragequit it in one of the seasons, and I don't even remember which season it was. There was a point in which I disliked most of the main characters, but the character I consistently loved was Octavia. And then there was a season where, well, I did not enjoy watching the direction they'd taken Octavia. I've been advised that I should try again, that there were good reasons for the way the story had gone, and that there would be payoff. But I don't remember where I left off, and I definitely need a refresh on the series overall. So this is perfect! Thank you!
