Definitely have to agree , finally a drum teacher and not someone who just wants to show off his drumming skills and take your money, I now at the young age of 53 wanting to learn basic drumming from country waltz jive quickstep rock`n`roll etc , just recently bought nux DM210 electronic kit and I want to create my own tracks , so I have been searching the web for a good honest online teacher and I think your the man, love your method of teaching ,even from this one clip I have learned how not to rush a fill and basically keep in time , now to put it into practice😉
The tip you mentioned about the fills going at the same speed as the hi-hat so you know if you’re going too fast or not is the most helpful drum tip i ever heard. Idk why I never thought of that 😅
Hey that’s really good! I’m a new drummer at the tender age of over 50 and this is a really big help. I’ve wanted to play the drums all my life but ended up playing keyboards instead!
@@E7MusicSchool I'm 63 and waiting for a kit to arrive. Played a bit many years ago. Will be using Jeremy's tutorials to get me started a gain, I'm so rusty.

I now have my drum kit. It had to be an electronic kit due to noise constraints but I can play almost anytime. After 40 years without a kit this drum fill video is a great way to get back into some sort of on time beating. Thanks Jeremy, great video. I will be looking at swing beats next but not going to run before I can walk.
@@E7MusicSchool Hi. Possibly when I've got to grips with the basics 🙂. Maintaining a steady tempo is my goal at the moment and whizzing around the drums without actually thinking about what I'm doing would be a good achievement using the fills in your video. Your video really is easy to follow so well explained. Steve
thank you sir, my son learned much from your instructions. other you tube lessons just want to show off but your lessons are really for student,s welfare.
This is by far and away the best tutorial I have watched. And I have been searching for weeks. Thank you for such an easy to follow and informative video. I can practice this just as you instruct unlike other tutorial videos that get waaaaaay to involved. I don’t want to become a professional and you seem to be the only guy who recognises that. I just want to enjoy playing maybe with my mates or even on my own to my favourite music. This tutorial will really help me do that. Cheers.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍺
ive been self taught since i started a year ago, im pretty good (as ive been told by my peers) at least for as long as ive been playing, but these videos are the only videos ive found that make me feel like i have a real teacher haha
Your a Really great teacher I remember the first video I ever watched of you it was the back and black episode ever since that I've been a better drummer thanks!
I haven't even bought my first drum kit yet but I can't wait think I picked that up fairly quick thanks I've subscribed I'd love a 1 on 1 when j get started hopefully the Corona virus doesn't fuck me up peace dude thanks again✌️👊🥁🥁
I just recently decided to pick up drum sticks. I have played guitar for over 25 years so I know about rhythm. The drums are a very symmetrical instrument. By that I mean, they follow precise patterns. Those patterns may have many corners or not many at all but they still follow a pattern.
@@E7MusicSchool Man I tried to 20 years ago but never figured myself having the ability. Played music of some sort since elementary school but drums looked complicated so I stayed away. Woke up about 3 months ago at age 41 and decided it was time to get my first drum set. I know basic beats and fills. I always knew how to count music. Started watching youtube and talking to drummers at the music store to get tips. I am looking for tips on building stick technique and I really want to get into the rudiments. The more challenging the better. I am top down with this because I think sometimes if you try to learn something really complex and master it you can grab onto simple stuff easier later on. Thanks bud.
Hey thank you. Lars has always been a very big influence of mine. I have always loved Enter Sandman, now I know how to play it. You are very good and I like the way you break things down, explain them, and walk is thru steps to develop them. I want to see more Metallica and possibly Godsmack. Thanks again KC
@@E7MusicSchool What do you say to people who say that Pete Best was a better drummer than Ringo Starr and that Ringo still can't do very good drum fills and Pete can?
ICAN tell you playing inside your house by the gentle beating of the drums especially the cymbals. I had the same problem until I purchased my farm in the middle of the Australian outback built a nice shed with acoustic blankets nailed to the walls otherwise if you play drums in a garage it sounds like your playing drums inside a tin garbage can and the snare kills your drum;
Nice! I used to yes. I have a separate studio now. I actually played quieter bc my audio wasn’t good and would crap out if I played too hard. Problem fixed now (see the new videos).
