You got to the Japanese App Store by switching your country/region the rest is pretty much up to you. Once you are done with that, then go to the search bar (and it doesn’t matter if you put it in Japanese or English) and search ”bandori” or “BanG dream”. And just install. Then you get to enjoy the game. I think it would be best to have both the Japanese and English version if you plan on getting Japanese because it’s kinda hard to know what to click and stuff. But hey the Japanese version has some more songs like “R” and you can actually play popipas cover for “god knows” originally from the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya

I think the best tip for this kind of games, as for matter of speed is, should be trying to do easy songs at really high speeds, example, a normal/hard piece at 10.5~7, after some random tries you can go down to 10 or so, and you will now start to see the notes super slow, then you can increase or decrease depending on what you like more, also, the faster the speed, the space you have to identify the notes between them is greater
Thank you for the tips! I'm new to this game and they are very helpful. I think one helpful thing is to make a separate band of musicians who all have the energy boost power or what I like to call "a healing team". This has proved to be helpful on tough songs and helps me get through them without failing.
I'm having a hard time with the sliding notes it really annoying the hell outta me any tips?

The Anti Social One uhh I have no idea if you still want the info but here’s my tip: aim for the end of the note instead of trying to just look at the entire thing, just think beginning -> end. Also, you might need to hold the last note a hair longer than what you might actually think, to have it register.

Actual use your beginning stars for gachas. Trust me, you'll kick yourself later for not using those.

When I first started playing I played at speed 4.5 and now I play at 10.7 (note speed) took me a couple weeks to be able to play songs on hard and even more to play on expert.
I started then I play for a day I can do on hard then the next day I can only do level 25 expert took me a month to do level 27 songs
kiko gamer 27s are hard but I started to play easy lvl 26 and build up to 27 and 28 and I can almost do ringing bloom and six trillion now

How does gacha work-
@@legzy8820 For gacha rolls you need stars first if you can grind stars at the start do it. The fastest way to grind some is to do the quests aka the one on the checklists. Also read the stories for stars and new songs. If you have 2500 stars go to the gacha. If you don't know how it's at the set of options near the live one

What speed would you recommend for expert songs. Trying to raise my speed from around 8.5, the screen just feels too cluttered for expert songs.
I normally play around 8.2/8.3 and I have full comboed some expert songs. I've heard people going as high as 10.3 speed. The best way to try and see what speed you like is to adjust by 5 (the arrow slider) until you're around where you want to be and then changing it by 0.1 (+ -) to get it perfect :)
In JP speed can reach 0.01 >.<
For expert songs speed in 7.6 is OP
Bryan Ho i personally play 10.4 note speed, play on a phone, and my note size is 140%.
i used to play 9. but i kept increasing it by .1 everyday or two until i found that the speed is just too much to me.
i think around 9 to 10 is a good choice for expert songs

When I try to record game have a lots of lag in BanG Dream! But in Love Live School idol festival I don't have lag when I record.

Kysuoko Tran usually, you lower the size so its easier to record, i never record so i increase the size for my preference in playing
lowering the note size and increasing the notespeed usually means there are less notes at the screen at any given time, hence being less laggy

Please include 1 tip of always try to earn Gold Coins...This game requires lots of Gold Coins for the upgrades,which up until now,I still am trying to earn as much coins as I can...Those Shards are secondary,as you can easily earn them through lives,but not coins.Now I've got an abundance of shards,while having not enough coins due to no knowledge of the needs of them...

The best thing to do is the Gacha one, but if you're hoping for free members, you should start watching band stories. In every prologue (or chapter 1, I think) of each band, they will reward you a whole band of 1* members. You can also participate in events. Some of them gives 3* members for free as reward.

Those notes are swipe notes, when they appear you need to swipe in any direction.
My mother have ipad that's where i play bang dream and i haven't got any 4 stars yet and i sometimes got full combos....but in my bandori (phone) i got like 4 4-stars and 1 3-star....it's really hard to play rhythm games on phone....even if you had a bad quality phone :(

How are you even meant to play this game on phones? Thumbs? Both index fingers? Are you supposed to play with it on a flat surface, or holding it?
I haven't had any problems getting full combos on normal so far with index fingers and holding it, but sometimes I really have to stretch to reach the center.
Your way of playing sounded pretty difficult,so I tried it out of curiosity and I almost full scored an expert difficulty song (24).
So you can definetly just keep playing that way,though I was a little bit slower than usual so maybe work on that for faster notes.Also I don't know with what fingers you're holding the phone,I held it with my ring fingers and only had to stretch for double notes on the far left or right.
The usual ways of playing though are either holding your phone and playing with your thumbs,or playing on a flat surface with your index fingers.You can play in all of these styles whenever you want or it's needed,you don't need to stick to one.
And some information that might be useful,you can actually play with no sound and even some songs are easier to full score with no sound on.

I hold it with my pinkie (left hand) and thumb (right hand), and use my thumb (left) and index finger (right) to hit notes. It works-- at least for me.
I have had this game for basically a week and I have beaten 3 lvls on expert(on 5 speed) and now I am getting myself used to 11 speed already and I am able to beat any lvl on easy on 11 speed like first or second try and I think I’ve gotten myself used to 11 speed enough that I can beat almost all or all songs on normal on 11 speed in between 1 to 10 tries

Not sure if I'll be able to explain in a good way but it depends on what your band power is and what cards/ characters you're using. To achieve a high score your cards have to be leveled up; make sure you're using 3 and 4 star cards for a higher score.

Double notes? I assume you mean notes where there are two simultaneous notes. You have to gain muscle memory of using each hand separate. Play more and focus on either hitting the left notes or the right notes and eventually you'll succeed!
Nah flicks are more annoying than that.. i practice flicks on Fanclub song in expert.. damn difficult

The "target" demographic is males I believe, though I could be wrong, but there's large numbers of both genders playing for the same reason: cute girls.
arcaea player here.
I rage quit playing this game because the notes and lanes are so small- my eyes just cant see where the notes should be tapped. And 7 lanes is too much for me- maybe someday i'll try to play this game again...
Also 'heart?' (that "hp" on the top right corner) just make it worse for me

How to get 4 purple star character?
Get a 4* from the gacha and then go to band and then training.
And uh, if the training doesn't work yet, fully level up the member by playing live or just using tickets to level them up. Then, use the right resources to train them (their image will change and so will the stars)
This game feels so wierd and not very responsive imo. Coming from a Project Diva and DDR player. Feel like the notes are to cluttered together and the uping the speed doesnt really help and its laggy as well

its not as laggy as the recording is. usually its very smooth for me on an iphone 7 and i have very little lag
