I sometimes just do a spasm and usually that’ll do the trick.
Me: an experienced rhythm game player who can easily pass/fc 28s and above
also me: oh hell yea i needed this video flick note hard :(
Can you explain what /fc 28 means, please?
@@meriem.j.3633 full combo level 28’s (in the game) :D
@@slimycrackerHELPMEDEARGOD Thank you very much for letting me know! 😊
hahaha

Am i the only one getting more problems with weird looking slides than flick notes?
Your not alone
Yes me too especially in the Miiro
Same here
Boi you are not alone when it’s too complicated and very wavy and very long
Lete clarify I'm talking about the ones where you have to hold then tap then hold lol
This is a good video! I'm just gonna add some extra, more specific stuff I think will be useful that you didn't say:
1. Flick towards the next note.
If you're struggling to get to the right spot for the next note after a flick, try flicking towards that note. E.g. in goka gokai expert, near the start there's a double flick in lanes 3 and 5, followed immediately by hold notes in lanes 1 and 7. For this example, I would flick directly outwards to get into position for those next notes, flicking up is ridiculously difficult here.
This isn't always needed, just in situations where you don't think you're fast enough to get it normally.
2. Alternating flick direction.
For songs with a lot of flick notes in a row, it can be useful to be able to alternate which direction you flick for each one. E.g. in chomama, those 3 flicks on the right hand can be done up, down, up if you feel like flicking the same direction 3 times is too hard.
3. Slide flick
Probably the hardest part of slide flicks is the fact that your hand is moving already, but needs to transition into moving for a flick, which can be hard, especially for slides that cross a lot of lanes. Flicking in the opposite direction of the slide is a good option, but another option is to move your hand faster than the slide. You don't need to be in sync with slides in bandori, as long as your hand is in the right place for the next note to be hit, it'll be fine, so you could theoretically go crazy with your finger and draw circles over your screen as long as you get back in time to hit the note. So for slide flicks, you could move your hand to the end position of the slide and just wait for the flick.
I hope these were useful!
Ty this genuinely helped I use to suck at those now it’s super easy :D
Thanks a lot! I'd also recommend Dragon Night for a practice song, it's not the hardest, and has a decent number of flick notes and those moving slider things.
Which band made dragon night?
@@lo4223 hello happy world
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!! I came from another rhythm game (Arcaea) without flick note as an input, so I find charts pretty challenging and end up playing mostly in HARD level difficulty. Thanks again for this tutorial.
Great tutorial! Do u think u could do one for slide notes? Those r the ones I rly struggle with
Arctic Bear thank you! Look forward to a slide note guide in the near future!
@@SBphiloz4 no problem and thanks! 😊💕
I think slide works like this. The game checks for a tap and then a continuous hold. The hold is not limited to a single lane, rather the whole screen. ie, you can move your fingers off the lane during a hold note. You cannot switch fingers. Remember to lift your fingers on time. The slide is somewhat the same, but it checks whether there is a finger at the point where the green bar is when the bar hits the line. It doesnt have to be the same finger. Use this information however you want.
@@jatarokemuri4549 thank you so much! ^-^
My friend literally just got me into this game like yesterday! And a noob as I am, I'm very clueless. I started doing easy levels and after some hour got bored and switched to normal. So far so good, then I tried to step up and made it hard. And uhhh, I'm so frustrated. I don't know how to do that pink arrow thing (just know that it's called flick after looking it up here on YT.) This video is a great help. Thanks a lot! I might be able to graduate from being a noob. ಥ_ಥ
congrats, i recommend gradually turning up your note speed and note size as you start doing new modes! also, when trying out a new mode (ex. hard) you should play rehearsal mode.
No need to pressure yourself and think about reaching hard mode or expert mode immediately. Play at your own pace. Gradually adjust your note/scroll speed and fiddle with the note size to see which best fits you. Also, remember to have fun playing
How you doin almost a year later? (If you still play)
@@yuujin9893 mhm! i agree
when you first start off the game with flicking up and get used to it then years later find out you could of flicked in any direction and realised how much easier and stress free life could have been but you’ve already ingrained in your mind and fingers to flick up so when you try flick sideways now, yes it’s much more satisfying but you’re losing the combo completely.
Love the video tho :)!
*When flick notes are your favourite ones*
I really appreciate the tips and song recommendations here! I actually forced myself to play tap-flick combos just as that, but knowing it's not wrong to play both as flicks is nice. (I mostly did it so I had to do less flick motions)
One thing though: When the first module started, it was a bit hard to hear your voice over the music and gameplay. Otherwise, I like how well you structured this video. I'm looking forward to the next one!
Thank you Sayo sensei !
Thanks for helping me I was playing wrong the whole time XD
2:40 side flicks: allow us to introduce ourselves
Great video. I'm looking forward for your future videos. 😊😊😊
That was hell as helpfull. Im playing on like 28 expert and some levels became much easier! Thank you!
I can say only one thing. when you talking while playing song make the song volume much lower because it is pretty hard to hear you.
Man, it actualy broke my mind that I can flick even downwards. I dont have the words to describe how I was surprised....
Me, an average rhythm player that doesn't struggle at all: Hell yeah, time for some bandori
My brain: /turns off when a flick note appears
Didn't know you can flick the notes in your desired direction until you demonstrated it, thanks a bunch! :D
I was today year's when i knew that i could do flick notes in any direction whutt O,O thank you very much!
There's new flick and hold notes now on JP so I think a sequel is in order
I'd like to add something that a lot of people might already know.
You don't need to flick too far for the flicks. A small scratch can register as a flick. Per se, just like doing a tap note but adding a little scratch before raising your fingers for the next note.
Coming from a thumb player. Best of luck for y'all. Also at what speed do you guys usually play on?
Herculean 10.0
Herculean 9.8 to10.2
9.0. My reaction speed is not as good as my reading.
Update:I'm now playing at 10.5
5:0 :T
THIS HONESTLY HELPED SOO SO SO MUCH OMG I GET SO FRUSTRATED WITH THESE SOMETIMES THAT U SO MUCH I WILL PRACTICE AND IMPROVE
OMG I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS VID 2 YEARS AGO
My problem is that for some apparent reason, sometimes my click won't register and that is pissing me off
Thanks for the video I will try your some of yours recommendations songs
the third common mistake is always the reason why i always lose combo especially in fire bird. thank you so much for this video!
omg thank u for this video! id love for a tutorial on hold notes that goes to the side. i keep making misses, its either i do it too early or too late. the one from fire bird expert is rlly difficult for me...im a thumb player
Thanks! Am currently working on the hold note tutorial as we speak. And FIRE BIRD will be one of the songs in this tutorial I believe.
This is really helpful!
Hey, nice to see a fellow fighting game enthusiast playing Bang Dream too :)
thank u for this tutorial TAT... coming from simpler games like superstar jyp and rhythm hive and jumping right into bandori gave me whiplash and the flick notes have not stopped making me feel like tearing out my hair lolol
I wanna say tysm lol i didnt know you could flick from any side and it counts as a flick.
I played Unite, From A to Z on hard and it had some good parts to practice flicking. Turns out my comfortable flicking area is flicking down because i can recover the quickest there
you deserve more recognition bro
Thank You For You Advise, now i can flick that note with your advise
Thank you so much
Finally, I will achieve shomama shomamama shoto matte shoto
After practicing 1,5 year play bandori with my thumb, finally i can take 26 difficulty. But man, my thumbs killing me :'v
Honestly, i didn't really struggle much with the flick note, im kinda used to it since I also play this one rythm game called IDOLiSH7, its pretty easy, but it also has flick notes-
Congrats on reaching 1k... I saw your subscribers on 999 so i had to do it xD
Edit: Also thanks for the tips : D
Lifesaver
Chomama is...
Literally the hardest song on Bandori istg- 😩
Flick notes is the only notes that im struggling with and all my energy lost by only that note-
This is helpfull since i just tried Shuwarin Dreaming on hard and all my misses were flicks lol
Edit: i also find slides that have tap notes on the side confusing and ever able to do them, any tips?
finally a flick note tut
Bang dream: introduces directional flicks
🤭
TYSMMMMM
I have very bad anger issues and uhm whenever I have those flick notes I explode so easily and start crying cause j get frustrated so this helped me a lot
i remember playing souls refrain when i was beginner and tapping the flick note
legit was so confused on why it didnt work
i just realized that souls refrain doesn't have a flick on easy, the only song i remember having a flick on easy is shanghai honey and i know for a fact that it wasn't shanghai honey
I learned alot, thank you! Also how to deal with sweaty hands?
this tutorial got me to redownload bangdori
I am not really struggling with flick notes until Firebird Expert decides to add a tap note right next to flick note and i get very confused. It always gets me
Okay ive been flicking always up. I probably were wondering if i can flick to other way. But my brain always makes my fingers go up xD
AAAAA CHOMAMAMA
Wow nice vid with 0 dislike congrats
I dunno but, I mastered my flick note by playing Mechanical Clown on expert because of its flick tap flick tap combo
I thought I needed this video because I thought I suck at flick notes but then I realized I already mastered them.. Just turn off mirroring!
How do you click those really fast notes? (An example would be towards the end of tear drops on expert)
Sometimes I would get all the flick notes, then flick a tap note- lol
That arisa part in what's the popipa flicks
Im actually mad right now that i havent figured this out
how do i do the slide flick notes at the start and end of ringing bloom (hard)?
i just flick inside and i mastered it like that
Side flick notes: just pray you clear it
As a level 100 or more player like me i approve
This video was oddly satisfying and very useful at the same time
How do you do a bunch of flicks in a row? Like the ones at the beginning of maware?
then there's the one pattern with tap flick-tap tap flick-tap on lanes that are far from eachother
(this is why i can't fc kyu mai flower)
usually i flick all of the notes in that pattern like in fire bird
also please teach me about side flicks
Since my tabletnis getting old i started playing on my phone and oml its so hard to flick without having a seizure arrggghhhh
Flick Note is my Best Inimige
Here from alien alien, fucking flick
What's music in 2:23? Not mentioned on description
i swr hard mode is so hard for me for no reason whatsoever the pink notes just make me panic
pls do side flick guide
It’s urgent!!! Could you teach how to do the green slides you have to move around??? IM LITERALLY GONNA CRY I WAS ON MY HIGHEST SCORE AND I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO DO THE SLIDE THINGEY AND I LOST EVERYTHING 💀💀🔫🔫😔😔
Me: hehe flick go brrr heh
My device is old that it literally doesn’t register my flicks sometimes same with hold notes 💀
I'm used to swiping up and I'm having a lot of trouble
0:22 7:06
How do you get signature songs?
So that's why it's name flick note I keep missing it
Bruhv mine doesn't register that i flick😭 ive gotten so mad that I couldnt do a single flick
1:25 no 2 is easy just flick to the right/left
oh no
*not the flick demon herself*
help i need a list of the songs they mentioned TvT
Direction of flicks: Attack Imperial Assault Force! (Hard)
Hold/slide flicks: Attack Imperial Assault Force! (Hard)
Tap-flick double notes: Hikaru Nara (Expert), Nocturnal Kids (Expert), Kyu~mai*flower (Hard)
Other songs: DAYS (Expert), Doki Doki Sing Out! (Expert), Home Street (Expert)
Im ok with flick notes i dont like with the song lost one weeping that clicking alot of blue note that is so hard to me can someone help me also im a thumb player playing at 10.0
Not sure if you still need help, but I believe a quick warmup while getting ready to start songs with fast tap notes should at least help a bit. Switching between both thumbs after every tap, switching between different lanes whilst simultaneously switching between both thumbs, tapping two notes at the same time in different lanes like shown in 2:55, but faster, or just tapping every lane as fast as you can tap.
If warmups don’t work, try to unconsciously play beat maps. If you don’t get it, it’s basically doing a beat map without really paying attention to/concentrating on the notes; it just might work. Hopefully you get what I mean. Anyway, I hope that I could be at least somewhat helpful because these are all I got.
@@kazooomi oh thanks but I switch to index finger and use 10.5 speed
@@kazooomi but I have a new problem like umm from Firebird you know the second lalala with so many fast double tap notes and it seperate I still struggling on that
Perhaps try treating those hold notes like tap notes; that should do the trick.
what note speed and note size do you use????
I play at 10.4 speed, 130% note size!
enough talk, give me your talent!!!!
Sayo sensei... how do you beat Ringing bloom?
The intro : joe mama joe mama
How about thumb players?
Hey! I demonstrated with finger in this video, but thumb players can generally follow the same strategies listed in the video. As long as you are consistent with your motion of flicking you can do these strategies with either fingers or thumbs.
@@SBphiloz4 oh ok
Can someone list the practice songs cause the music swallows his voice
so all this time, im doing that unnecessary upwards motion on flick notes (which is hard to keep up with a lot of awkward position right after)
So I ended up fc this chomama on a whim during multi-live, and I was so happy!!
What about those alternate tap flick notes- I struggle with them
Like this:
^---O
O---^
Did you even watch properly? his tip was to flick both of those there is no problem in flicking the tap notes as soon as we touch them the game registers it as a hit. You can rewatch module 1.3 (4:33).
Do all of these still work today?
I play bandori with one hand tho....
been doing it for 1 month
Will it be harder for people with phones?
Not necessarily! It's a matter of preference for liking thumbs vs index fingers.
i could never learn cause i only play normal and easy cause i am too dumb to play hard and expert😀
Flick with both hand
uhm guys im still new to the game how to tap pink note pls
flick, don't tap
Why does the notes look different for other people?
it's a customizable setting
@@saiyan6012 ohh! Oki!🍎
How do u master expert hard is easy for me but expert is just 🙁
the only thing thumb players are better at
