- Edita sings Zerbinetta from this 1982 production of Ariadne auf Naxos directed by Filippo Sanjust. This is the same production that was filmed in 1977/78 for the film now available on DG.

She is absolutely incredible.
It was absolutely unbelievable to see her sing this-she made one of the most difficult arias in opera look like a stroll through the park. Was the biggest treat anyone (singers or opera fans) could possibly have. Thanks for shariing it!

Does anyone have Dessay in this production? That one Zerbinetta of hers was mind blowing.
Estamos embelesados con la soprano Anna Netrebko,mas vemos que han habido y hay otras de su calidad o superiores,por ejemplo:Edita Gruberova.
There was once a video on youtube just like this one....same set, same costume and everything only Natalie Dessay as Zerbinetta....what happened to that video??!?! I was obsessed with it. Dessay was incredible (just as Gruberova) But I would love to get my hands on it if at all possible!
