is that an inversion happening in shibuya, like was said to have happend in shinjuku in final remix?! at 0:50 "is that the KH BBS (and maybe 3 ) shotlock sound effect?" nice to see mr mew fusion LV.3 again, and the social system seems neat. the effects on people by the main 3 (Rindo, Fret, and Nagi) seem interesting, and it seems we may still have the memes in a way, but with more (I wonder if there will be a importance of how neku used imprinting in the first game, and rindo is using it now) The shops seem okay, though with groove (in overworld) I guess they see how people like to try to move fast, and want to awward efficency with it? There also seem to be more proper puzzles, like the Hachiko statue on day 2 in the 1st game which is nice, other than just going places, and fighting or talking I knew that coco had some connection to the shinjuku girl with Mr. Mew Dang I wish that shinjuku Reaper plot wasn't mentioned in this, but is really cool to see. luckily this is the last trailer apparently. (well at least last gameplay one.) I know SE has a bad habit of spoiling their games. . . Rindo has amnesia too? come on. Lets hope that he isn't just Neku Vol. 2 Okay the guy whowing up when Rindo says "who's That is definetly Neku, (Nomura if you make this neku some other person in disguise, or a fake i swear . . .. . ..) but was the guy before that. . . JOSH! And of course the Music is great as always. A DEMO! Okay guys I swear even if you have no idea if you like the game, please at least play the demo. youll hear great music, and who knows? maybe you'sll change your mind (Square enix games tend to get better after a few hours though, especially the crazy combat of TWEWY, so please Just give it a chance, especially if you even somewhat like the demo. (and if you NEED to know the plot, even though you technically won't need it you can play final remix on switch, solo remix on most phones (the final remix plot can be easily watched on youtube) or the original DS version (with the Final Remix Plot The same as Solo remix) make sure to read the secret reports too then though.
Hanekoma: "Just a little errand. I'm here to pick somebody up, but I wanted to check on something while I was here. [...] Hoo boy, I knew it. Visible in this world too, clear as day. This calls for serious action." They've been setting this up ever since the original, DS version of TWEWY--it was just never certain whether they'd make a sequel to follow up on it or not. The whole 'dragon skull sigil in the sky' bit was something first encountered right before facing the hidden endgame superboss Hanekoma makes in "Another Day". Main difference is that, when it happens to Shinjuku in "A New Day", it's the 'Player Pin' motif from the original game that appears in the sky... and NOW it looks like players in the new game in Shibuya are using 'Reaper Pins', that bear the dragon skull sigil. I don't think it's a coincidence, rather--I think that a certain region's Angels have a say in whether a version of another region gets inverted or not, and the symbol of the inversion is related to the same pin set that a particular Composer uses for their games.

AAAAAH I CANT WAIT. Everything looks great, the character designs, the music, the outfits!!!
So glad they used Transformation in this trailer. That songs an absolute banger
Will this be at least as good as the first one? "Only time will tell"
Try out the demo
Based off of the demo, I believe it will. The devs really did a good job translating the combat to a 3D space.
This game is already great, because I love the new and old characters.
Not gonna lie, when "Transformation" started playing, I couldn't help but sing along and ahead in my mind a bit.
I was singing along with it, too!
0:54 i'm pretty sure it's actually impossible to fight this boss with this party, even in the post game.
edit: actually, make that most of the bosses in this trailer. funny how they added that to avoid spoilers while showing all the major story spoilers anyway
I'm gonna cry. Thank you for the beautiful-looking sequel, Square Enix. I'm frustrated it took so long (since I fully expected a sequel eventually, given all the teases) but very glad that that means it'll be made for my favorite handheld thus far.
Such much like what was said in Tsugumi's scene with Mr. Mew indicating something happened to Shiki, Joshua's New Shirt looks cool, Shibuya falling apart from the actions of people from Shinjuku, Neku coming back at Udagawa Back Streets, and the boy at the end at Udagawa Back Streets just screams Composer
This looks sooo cool. Neku making a cameo at the end sends a chill down my spine!
You already sold me with the announcement trailer. This is just overkill. Can't wait to play this game in July!
ah yes, definitely a Nomura.
Yeah and it can be good or bad these days. Hopefully this is a good one...
Well, his direction with KH has been solid recently. FF7R wasn’t a bust so I have high hopes. He played a part in the first TWEWY too and that was fantastic.
his involvement with this franchise doesn't extend beyond characters designs
Iirc he’s just the character designer here. I could be wrong, but he’s not part of the story writing for the game.
@@0mega999 He was never the writer for TWEWY. His role is Creative Producer and character designs.
Someone else wrote the original TWEWY.
Shoka: "Um, cat got your tongue or what?"
Me: Says the girl sporting a cat-themed hoodie (😆).
She's gonna be all cat puns, isn't she
Oh thats nomura alright
Played the demo, loved the game! The music is so good and the story and interactions are awesome!
I just finished the original a week ago and all the little character nodes in this trailer are hyping me up way too much
With "Original" you mean the DS version?
@@Ageleszly Yes got the game running on my old DSi
To right the countless wrongs of our days...
We shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise...
Oh, what a wonderful world such would be...
Oh wow I'm gonna be losing sleep over this.
This game is going to emotionally destroy me and I couldn't be more hyped for it
its like spicy food but for your soul.
@@thomasstewart9752 guess I’ll buy it then
did it?
@@kaylone4174 yes
I think the guy at 5:09 is Swallow. It mentions him at 1:29 on Rindos Profile. It might just be me but he gives me a "bird-like" vibe at the end and on top of that the symbols on his jacket is some sort of majestic bird-like creature(almost phoenix-like) so hence why I believe it might be Rindos friend Swallow
I keep coming back to this trailer. So happy this series is back on the map. Well. On the map as a series now.
Hopefully motion controls aren’t required! Game looks sick!
@mr freakout wtf does that have to do with anything?
@mr freakout What does that have to do with the video right now...? We’re on the subject of NEO: The World Ends With You
@mr freakout Oops, my bad. Sorry there.
@mr freakout the trickster
@mr freakout uh okay
is that an inversion happening in shibuya, like was said to have happend in shinjuku in final remix?!
at 0:50 "is that the KH BBS (and maybe 3 ) shotlock sound effect?"
nice to see mr mew fusion LV.3 again, and the social system seems neat.
the effects on people by the main 3 (Rindo, Fret, and Nagi) seem interesting, and it seems we may still have the memes in a way, but with more (I wonder if there will be a importance of how neku used imprinting in the first game, and rindo is using it now)
The shops seem okay, though with groove (in overworld) I guess they see how people like to try to move fast, and want to awward efficency with it?
There also seem to be more proper puzzles, like the Hachiko statue on day 2 in the 1st game which is nice, other than just going places, and fighting or talking
I knew that coco had some connection to the shinjuku girl with Mr. Mew
Dang I wish that shinjuku Reaper plot wasn't mentioned in this, but is really cool to see. luckily this is the last trailer apparently. (well at least last gameplay one.) I know SE has a bad habit of spoiling their games. . .
Rindo has amnesia too? come on. Lets hope that he isn't just Neku Vol. 2
Okay the guy whowing up when Rindo says "who's That is definetly Neku, (Nomura if you make this neku some other person in disguise, or a fake i swear . . .. . ..) but was the guy before that. . .
This calls for serious action."
They've been setting this up ever since the original, DS version of TWEWY--it was just never certain whether they'd make a sequel to follow up on it or not.
Probably a stock sound
2:20 To those who also found the 5 differences, congrats!
1. The graffiti on the ground;
2. The extra stoplight (center of the picture);
3. The extra windows (below the big monitor);
4. The extended "stop here" lane(middle left road);
5. The extra line(or lane?) on the east road.
Excited that a demo is being offered. That’s great news.
They must be confident.
Looks so amazing! TWEWY is one of my favorites of all time and I never dreamed in a million years there would be an accurate anime adaptation and another game!
Beginning trailer: Shibuya turns to dust as if someone used the Thanos Snap.
Ending: Bright light Neku is unhooded and some weird purple glowy stuff is around him as if he went some sort of super saiyan transformation.
The countdown begins..
You think Neku might have become a dissonance reaper?
@@xenrusxenomorph2268 what do you mean by dissonance reaper? Plus I didn’t see any reaper kind of wings on him?
@@Shadoxas I think that might be a spoiler from the New day section of Final remix. and plus, he kinda looks like one from all the trailers we have seen of Neku thus far. all the information points to him looking like a reaper.
@@xenrusxenomorph2268 ohh I see
I'm glad I'm watching this after finishing the game
Ngl, never played The World Ends with you but this looks sick
In an interview it said that Neo can be played as a stand-alone game. There *might* be a small few references to the first, and 5 returning characters. But other than that you should be fine to play this without have playing the first
it's not a must but I can assure you that if you try to play the game, you will love it. This game can be found on the OG Nintendo DS, the Nintendo Switch, iOS devices (both iPhone and iPad) and CMIIW, Android phones as well.
If you wanna play the first one, play the DS version, the switch version doesn't nearly show what's so special about the game.
Well, if you don't want/can't play the first, there is an anime that should finish soon. But i don't know how good it is, just know it exists
@@alexeas5256 From what they've shown so far I think it's safe to expect the connection with the original story to extend way beyond just a few references.
Honestly this's looking a lot more like a direct sequel than a standalone.
I guess it'll just be accessible enough since the story is following a new protagonist.
We only have trailers and I already am living for this muthaflippin' soundtrack
Can't wait to play this! My friend and I have waited a decade to play the sequel;;; it looks really fun!
