Nice review, im keeping an eye on this monitor or the cheaper option with 2k resolution. Wondering if you have difficulty when playing games where there are dark spots, can you see there or is there a setting to counter this issue? Other than that this monitor looks amazing.

You are by far one of the greatest PC optimizations channels out there. I have been using your channel for sometime and I can say, without a doubt, you've allowed my PC to reach its fullest potential.
Anyone who is PC gaming should be following a lot of your guides. I always love to try new optimizations out and see the results.
For reference, I prefer stable fps gaming. At the start I had to drop my rig to 1080p 120 hz... but after your channel over the years, i've gone to stable 165 fps at 1400p (2070s, 3700x).

To be honest I stumbled on KTC really by accident, I very recently, as in like 2 days ago, got a Samsung CRG50 24" monitor (my very first VA panel), noticed the terrible black smearing/blur in dark scenes, found an article saying this is typical for VA, with the exception of the top end Samsung NEO monitors and the G7, and mentioned KTC as well, so that's how I found KTC and noticed they seem to have some pretty good monitors...
How was the vrr for these since they are not officially certified by Nvidia

Great video man feeling better about this monitor. I have a question- How do I adjust the monitor settings like you did? I only have a laptop and ps5 connected to mine. And have no idea how to adjust the monitor settings other than changing res and frame rate in my laptop settings whilst connected to my ktc monitor. With gtx 1050 or gtx 970 it is not set to 160 hz but only 95 hz. How come?

Hi, i love your vids, but im having terrible fps on my new amd rx6650xt on fortnite dx11 performance mode(i know that dx12 is better but for competetive is perf mode a lot better), i tried literally everything, from you and from more reddits, like everything, but nothing fixed it. Hello, this monitor has HDR1000 and only FreeSync Premium but not FreeSync Premium Pro certification. Does it means that I can't use FreeSync with HDR same time or not?

This is the exact same monitor as the Cooler Master Tempest GP27U. But unlike the Cooler Master, KTC don't offer firmware updates. If you search for it, you will find a link that just leads to a blank page. Firmware updates are very important for this monitor, because it's filled with issues. VRR and Local Dimming not working together, color banding, brightness issues, monitor not turning on when connected and much more. Cooler Master are trying to fix this, while KTC has done nothing to try to fix it
KTC has said they will provide a firmware update for it in the near future. At least someone said they got this response when they emailed ktc about the issue

@@tr4nnel752 I can paly with VRR and local diming at the same time, that was my biggest issue and it's now fixed. If you're sensitive to blooming the ktc one is better since it uses a VA panel that has a higher native contrast ratio than the cooler master with it's ips monitor. But it's still visible. Other than that the monitor looks geat, i used the ICC profile techless made for this monitor to get better color accuracy and now it looks like the oled screen of my s10e, in terms of color reproduction/accuracy, and contrast. honestly good monitor i like it a lot for gaming an watching movies

@@PanjnoHey! I got this MINILED monitor and I heard that display ports 1.4 support above 144 HZ and way more then that yet when I plug it into the DP port it maxes out at 144 HZ could this be because the DP cord that came with it doesn’t support 160hz?
@@veterexgaming369not sure if you ever got an answer or not but you have to be on 8-bit color for the higher hz with a DP
to me it looks like the pixel response time is tragic. as i noticed corners of the walls and certain details having bad ghosting. also motion clarity seems to be off for me. i hate when screen blurs when moving or corners of the walls ghosts

It is not possible to beat an OLED and unfortunately this MiniLED Tech is way to late to be of any interesst anymore.
They did hold back for very long even having everything available already and now they deside to launch OLED and MiniLED at the same time for nearly the same price. What a joke!!
