Great 4K HDR Mini LED Gaming Monitor - KTC M27P20P Review
Mini LED!!! it’s a scary concept, in theory combining the best of LCD and OLED into a reasonable size, (of course theory and reality often differ substantially), but I digress so whenever I get the chance to review one like the KTC M27P20P which was sent to me for review by KTC I jump at the opportunity.

I love Matte Displays, They can be used in more lighting situations.
there are plenty of reviews on M27P20P, but reviews for the 32 inch version M32P10 is non-existent. please do one on M32P10
Agreed
I think the matte finish is a good trade off. I went with the Alienware Ultrawide OLED not long ago which had a glossy finish. I have a cat and can inform everyone that glossy finishes permanently scratch with the single swipe of a claw. My older matte TN panel can withstand my cat trying to tear through the screen and look exactly the same after wiping the screen. Matte screen finishes can offer greater resiliency to mishaps.
Hi mate would you consider using an oled monitor if you are using your pc for all purposes not just gaming? i would be doing a lot of media based productivity tasks and im worried about burn in
I had one and did for a while. I would not go back to OLED right now. Let the displays mature and GUI's improve overtime to consider OLED users if the tech become majorly dominant. There's to many things that remain on the screen even with drastic measures of removing various UI across windows and in games. I would suggest a VA or IPS panel with a high local dimming zone count and good contrast. If you really still want an OLED make it a secondary display of TV size for consuming content but isn't on all the time.@@sasaschoolofperformingarts7690
As long as you are okay with it being burnt in a few years. OLED burn in is not a matter of if but a matter of when. It will happen your monitor whether or not you use it regularly, it will only prolong the inevitable. @@sasaschoolofperformingarts7690
Are there any issues running VRR, HDR and Local Dimming simultaneously, like compressed dynamic range, weird tone mapping or flickering?
I'll say the matte finish really hurts the clarity of the image on this thing. It's the one downside that is the most bothersome for me
i’d peel it off too bad my monitor had broke if not i woulda done it on that
Please review the KTC M32P10! As someone else pointed out reviews are non-existent for it. From what anyone can tell it has the same panel as the Innocn 32M2V with 1152 dimming zones, but double the LED's. But the 32M2V is out of stock right now and links to it redirect to the 27in with no ETA on a restock so it would be good to know if the KTC is a worthwhile alternative.
Will do.
Fucking bet lol please review that monitor. I just bought it on Amazon, should be delivered tomorrow (hopefully). I couldn't find a single review for it as well, but the price/specs seemed way too good to pass up, and this'll be my introduction to mini-LED tech. I recently bought the BenQ Morbius EX3210U, which was my first 4k experience, and I love it, but I just want that extra oomph.
@@stephengoughjr9684 You'll have to let us know how it is.
@@stephengoughjr9684how's your monitor bro?
Sorry for my ignorance, why is hard to calibrate HDR? will be this monitor good for photo/video? in HDR also? thx.
I still can't decide whether I should get this one or the new to be released LG 27GP95RP-B Nano IPS, 600 HDR. Almost the same price. The KTC has several advantages with mini led and 1000 HDR, but not sure how well the monitor will hold up and how good HTC's customer support are.
Get the LG, this brand is cheap and sketchy
@@bagelborrowing6085 I wanted to get the LG, but I ended up getting the KTC. I have to say that the local dimming for mini led monitors makes a big difference. The only thing that I dislike about it is the colors with HDR enabled on consoles. So I am using it with HDR disabled, colors are way better. I will stick to it until LG/Samsung release a 4K mini led /oled gaming monitor. Btw customer support sucks and they don't reply.
What did you get after all?
I own the Acer version of this that can be found on sale for $600 at Best Buy easily. The only downside that I can notice is that anti-flicker cannot be enabled with FALD enabled. These seems to be a common issue with KTCs mini LED panels. I really only have noticed flickering in very rare instances so it is not common.
Whats the acer version of this?
Could you share what is the acer version please?

Sceptre Curved 32-inch QHD Gaming Monitor how will this monitor compare? Does being curved give advantage or the mini led?
I wonder how this stacks up against my current monitor, Asus rog pg279?
I'm disappointed you didn't talk about the dimming zones.
Mate or glossy?
Theres two versions of this monitor one from 2022 and obe from 2023 one has the pink hole on the stand the others the same as the rest of the stand whats the difference? Both have the sane model number too
Are you planning you review M27T20 1440p VA option?
Yes. Should be up next week.
I’ve been using this monitor for about 2 months. AMA! I will respond tmr.
What GPU do you use to push it? Are you able to push 144/160hz?
Do you recommend?
How noticable is the blooming?
@@g1zmo856800xt. Im using it at 160hz + vrr (with the latest firmware).
@@alexvswrldi got it for around 640-650 eur. At this pricepoint i couldnt find anything else in the EU. Im happy with it and plan to use it until i can get 2000zone miniLED at a reasonable price.
Had an order for the innocn 32 but cancelled and just snagged the m32p10
Want this monitor but lack the GPU power to push it 😢
best recommented settings ?
make sure gsync is off if you want local dimming
someday they'll make glossy screens again.
i'm really starting to think they add a matte finish just to hear you barf
I have never seen a glossy screen that doesn't suck IMO.
From phone to laptop to monitor to tv.
Unless you turn off all the light in your room, in every dark content, what I see is just me and the environment reflection that disrupt the content.
Probably you are 50+ years old and partially blind... because for 99% of people, the best displays are glossy
The glossy screen you mentioned may be just a layer of glass (most mobile phones, notebooks), not anti-reflective glossy coating + wide viewing angle compensation film
@Games_and_Tech I have seen enough high end OLED TVs to dislike glossy finish
@user-hr4hu8xb5f that's what I thought... you have to be blind then, or you have a house made exclusively of glass
@Games_and_Tech I hope I am blind so I don't have to see the stupid reflection on my tv.
Idk for $750 I'd probably wait for a 27" OLED to come in at that price or get a 42" LG C2 for $900
It is currently on sale for $600 on Amazon
it has a coupon for $150 and 5% discount so its about $550 now.
I guess waiting was the right call. I'd still rather have an OLED TBH
@@routine8 yeah, luckily older oleds are coming around ~7-800 now, but just if you're willing to use 1440p
Would rather have 25 inch 1440p than a 27 inch 4k. But of course we will never have that option because it would make too much sense.
27 inch all day
Same
Matte finish if used for anything should be IPS, so that's fine.
This cost 940 dollars!
Police test Alienware monitors 🙏 27+
needs to be 240HZ. Any gaming monitors that are 4k, 240hz and color accurate for photo/video editing?
no, never will be
but 4k 240hz will come in a year or two (oled)
Man I just can't accept IPS contrast ratio after seeing VA.
IPS is dead to me, I never want to see that silver screen again.
Whats up with the ugly logo, size and its placement?😢
I've been using it for about three months now and imma be honest, nothing about the monitor is aesthetically pleasing.
I was able to detract some of the ugliness by getting a nice vesa mount arm and putting some plants next to it.
But yeah she isn't pretty
OLED OR NOTHIN'
they're not 700$ they are 1000$
400 today
@@JohnWilks-k7l really?
4k should must be with 32 inch
Allegedly.........you sound like the guy at Haircafe !!!
I don't know if I would call it great. It uses the same panel as a non miniLED which makes me think this product is bullshit. With how cheaply it is made, you can expect it to last only a couple years
Aahhhh yes affordable for the price of 800usd
Now it’s $599.99 I think
Like 450 now
