Savannah, you really inspire me to learn and do more and more. I’m so impressed with your knowledge and ability to wire all of that solar system. I love how nothing seems to stop you including mistakes. Anyway, I just wanted to say that. Keep up the great work, ladies!!
You girls are showing our young girls that they can do anything! I'm looking less smart by the second. I don't have my phone and tablet "how to" figured out but go to town girls you're looking good and getting it done all at the same time!
So good to see this video! Missed you but glad you had family in. It sounds very impressive and lots of hard work coming up. You have lots of gumption to tackle all that. I have all the faith you will accomplish this. Have a blessed week. Stay safe and healthy.
Savannah you’re a whole ass package!!! Like frfr you’re truly fkn amazing!!!! I’m in serious awe watching this!! You’re so intelligent! Idk even with all the research I’d be smart enough to do that!
New subscriber here from the UK. What you two ladies have achieved is nothing short of amazing. A lot of hard work that is definitely paying off, and to top it off, such beautiful stunning views....makes me wish I could go off grid, but not many places here where I live that you can practically do this....unfortunately! I'm now hooked on watching your progress, keep up what you're doing as you are doing great!! 👍🏻
Lmaoooo I literally said "so why convert it to AC power then?" out loud half a second before you came on screen and said "you might be asking why don't we run everything on dc power?". Just gave me a good chuckle lol
@@HEYWANDERER I tried watching videos but it's all mumble to me. I learn from hands on, not good with reading instructions and watching😫.. thank you for taking the time to reply.
I’m so glad you asked this question! I’ve been itching to ask how and where does she get her knowledge for building and electricity! She is a Super Woman for sure!
Very interesting! We are on the verge of getting land and the reality of getting a shed to convert is also becoming more real. I definitely appreciate every detail you share. Thank you for sharing. ♥️
I used BattleBorn for my off grid home set up in rural Colorado also. Absolute game changer in the off grid game. And sorry to hear about the new ankle sprain! I'm RICE-ing currently and the emotional stress can be just as painful as the injury. Nice work!
Hey Rhonda! Thanks for your comment. No one has a new sprained ankle. This last video was shot over several months. Savannah sprained her ankle this summer (for the second time) but it's all healed now.
You girls are just amazing 🤩 you both should be so proud of how far you have come with your property. There is not many people who could handle what you girls have done and been through. ❤😊
Lithium batteries can't go below 30 degrees.. so you might want to use a pallet underneath the batteries.. and put insulation inside the pallet, just a suggestion..
I know you mean well but surely you don’t think we did all this work and research and are just gonna let our batteries be ruined. Also our batteries can be used up to -4 degrees. They won’t be ruined. We have researched our exact batteries extensively.
I'm a little bit surprised you didn't get the LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) version of Battleborn's batteries. They have many more charge cycles from what I understand (maybe 3500 vs 2000?--guessing) meaning a much longer usable life. I'm sure you had your reasons and weighed the pros and cons of each. In any case, you two are so courageous. I get a lot of inspiration and confidence watching your videos. Thank you!!
@@HEYWANDERER Yep, I went to the Battleborn website and looked at that specific battery; definitely a LiFePO4. Great. What threw me were the words "Lithium Ion" on the side near "GC3". I wonder why the labels are contradictory. And yes, I would appreciate a set-up video covering the Lynx, the wire sizes, the fuse and breaker types and sizes and the whole inverter set-up, especially with respect to the 110/120V breaker box and circuit breakers you chose. The hole thing is befuddling to me.
It looks like you built a very large 12 volt system. Is there any reason you didn't move up to 48v or at least 24v, given the total volume of storage you went with?
What do you all do with your garbage? Do you have some sort of landfill option or composting for organic material? What do you do with stuff that is absolute rubbish?
@@HEYWANDERER lucky you… the dump here isn’t free at all… I can’t wait to move back out to the family farm…once we get this house sold, going back to my childhood home to stay … family farm is out in the middle of nowhere… Just where I want to be, away from all the crazies in town/city… lol
Ut oh! When connecting batteries black goes to black and red goes to red. Again, I haven't finished the video, and hope you realize the dangerous mistakes here.
Hey Doreen, this is a little different. No dangerous mistakes were made. Savannah made the wires. They could’ve been neon purple and green. She connected them properly.
@@HEYWANDERER thanks for clearing that up! I thought you were going to have an explosion at some point. I was literally holding my breath when you turned all that equipment on. 😳😂😂
I may be wrong but I think you’re supposed to only let them get down to a 50% charge on your batteries. You probably know this but I just didn’t want you to ruin your batteries.
That is only for lead acid batteries and that is not the type of batteries we have. I don’t think we’ve ever researched something as much as we did about these batteries. We would never do anything that would ruin them.
Savannah, you really inspire me to learn and do more and more. I’m so impressed with your knowledge and ability to wire all of that solar system. I love how nothing seems to stop you including mistakes. Anyway, I just wanted to say that. Keep up the great work, ladies!!
oh thank you so much. I hope you do find something new to learn!

Yes still lots of hard work ahead! Thanks for watching, Nancy!
Congratulations ladies! You go girls!
Thank you!
I appreciate that you actually show the wire diagram
You ladies are awesome!
This is so exciting! What a monumental accomplishment - you two have came so far on the land and it’s an absolute joy getting to tag along!!
Thank you so much :)

I'm super impressed! Alot of hard work but you did it!!
I’d like to see everything for each section you do. Then final tour of system when done. Thank you for the above video.

Great job girls ‼️ show is everything, we're learning and being encouraged❣️
I am amazed at your skills! I don’t think I could’ve done it myself. Kudos to you!
You did a great job setting up the solar converter. U understand it better than I do!
Congratz on getting your offgrid power running!!!
Thank you!
What a job. I'll be waiting to see the rest of your solar videos.
You go girls!!!!!🎉
Hi! How do you know how to do something so complicated, like all the wiriing❓️ I'm extremely impressed with the amount of knowledge you girls have.
Like she said, research. No one knows anything until they learn how to do it, and just doing it is the best way to learn
Thank you so much for your kind words. And yes we do A LOT of research and watch A LOT of YT videos.

Love it. Keep em going!
Such an accomplishment! I’d love to get our cabin on solar. You’re such an inspiration!

Love your videos 👍

$20k of batteries? those things are not cheap, and you have 8???
