ZachSVK definitely means apds . . . The problem is that gaijin has this screwed up mentality that increased armor thickness will cause less spalling no matter what, when it is actually a parabolic shape for spalling.
For example . . . Thin armor is over penned by apds and apfsds, but spalling will increase as the shell gets thicker until a little before max penetration. Then the spalling gradually decreases until slightly past total penetration. (Even a non pen causes a bulge on the inside that could break off from the force and cause spalling on a much smaller scale than HESH)
In game, spalling is calculated by left over penetration as a multiplier. So, light armored targets get one shot by apds and apfsds, when really it should overpen, which would only do damage if the projectile hit the crew directly. This is why apds has such bad post pen. Especially since some had their penetration at 0 degrees reduced, which is the main factor of calculating post pen.
If reality was modelled by gaijin, HESH, HE, and HEAT would not be fired from main guns because apfsds obliterates light armor in war thunder.

Team B gets unlimited respawns and team a gets limited spawns
in order to prevent camping if the capturing team has 3 tanks for every 1 defending tank inside the town the defenders will automatically be forced to surrender or have a timer and when the timer runs out the game ends
the teams would play two games
who ever holds the city/objective in said city the longest wins
this game would be mixed with airforce ground and sea as the game could be played in a port town or have a river going through a city and the boats could gain positions where there team could respawn instead allowing the tanks to get back into battle faster.

Hey Phly I noticed yesterday that the M8 Greyhound gas a 50cal on it. I was wondering if you could play the M8 Greyhound but only use the 50cal
you mostly can...ive done it and use it to kill bt5/7 tanks as well as most german tanks...the 37mm isnt even needed half the time
I find it funny how most people don’t know how to play accurately with guided missles. Line your shot up where you want it so you have it in your mind, tip up so they’re at the bottom of your reticule and fire, then line your shot. You’ll give yourself a much easier and more consistent time. Plus it looks really badass

I havent checked for any weakspots, but it seems like you can kill is-7 with almost anything if you can get up behind it and shoot it at the turret ring/between turret and hull. I have done it with the Crusader AA Mk I with only AP-T ~77mm pen.
there a big ass chunk of armore cut off the t64b in the uper glacis so that the dirver can fit and they just left the top plate of the armor in that secction and it is modelled in game

hey i have a question about f3f2s flight model (biplane one) i was going about 400kmph and we were heading on i pulled off to the left and started into a vertical dive to make him stall out i was in bf109 f1 and his plane kept climbing he was way slower than me probably 200-300 kmph and i stalled out before him he just kept climbing how is that possible?
How do you make the turret turn to where your binos are looking?
I know it will be a pain to fly against the AAA but take the FJ-4B out in Tank RB and drop some modern bombs on the enemy.

@phlydaily I have to say this because I have spent a huge amount of time on war thunder this week trying to unlock the IS 7. I have probably spent anywhere from 36-48 hours alone this week dedicated to unlocking this tank without using money, even tho I did by premium for the event. I am a new xbox player and have high hopes for the game, but at 12 o clock central time on Sunday August 12th it quit giving me parts to the IS 7. Now I'm 90% sure that it hasn't ended yet on account that it is still giving me parts for the t34e that I've already unlocked. The only things that I have left to do is assemble the gun and complete the turret and hull and I have the tank. I have tried everything to resolve this issue such as restarting my xbox several times, clearing my alternate mac address, and unplugging my router from the wall. It is not resolving itself and it has made me very upset. It just leads me to believe that they want me to pay money to complete this tank. If they won't let me get this tank for free like your supposed to be able to then that shows me that the company is money hungry and unfortunately if its that way it is then ill quit playing even tho I had to buy early access to play. Hopefully you can help me resolve this issue. Thanks, love the videos btw!

Play the BMP, but when you reach a cap zone, you have to wait for 15 seconds as if infantry was deploying and then you have to move at 5kmh as if infantry were fighting along with you.

It never had a lot of armour it just had a lot of sloping.
It wasn't a large tank.
But yeah, the Leopard wasn't called a Leopard for a reason. Also you got to be an idiot if you think that the tank don't have alot of armor (That turret of it ain't light bro, it's a heavy turret. Infact I would bet on the turret taking over 30% of the tank weight if we are counting the equipments within it)
That and while it is quick, it wasn't built to out speed something like the leopard A1A1. Which should have a top speed of 65 km/h and be much more maneuverable on ALL terrain than how the IS-7 is (Due to the difference in weight). While the IS-7 should only reach top speed 60 km/h.
It wasn't a large tank like the Maus but it was a larger tank and even more heavy than the leopard.
And while it's sloping was good, you can't deny the fact that it's armor is still thick.
Sure, IS-7 will outspeed a Maus. But outspeeding a leopard (Like in the video) is just Bias.

After playing a Sim battle last night I got 3 is2 kills 2 of which where with HEATFS at 2000metres away other one at close range cause the guy had zero situational awareness but it seems sim is still way less able too screw one over

Since you did FV 4005 vs IS 7, you should do FV 4005 vs 10.0, and sometimes it looks like shooting under tanks does more damage that hitting the tank with the HESH (try it out on the maus in the test drive)

I have yet to have a problem against the is7 even in my 6.7 brit tanks. Mostly because they charge like a maus and I just shoot their massive weak cannon breach making them useless then line up for a good kill shot

To be honest, a APFSDS can kill in 1 shot and has 0 explosives. This is a heavy round with a dynamite rod in it. It shoud just go straight through the composite armour on some tanks. Like the KV-2 with the KPZ
May they fix this tank soon. I had situations where IS-7 shot exploded after hitting my plate almost parallel to it and then the shrapnel piercing through 200+ mm of armor. What.
