Fun fact, the is7 was the most advanced tank when it was made
So, lets summarize:
1) It one shots everything except when shooting through a meter of engine block.
2) It goes 60km/h on streets
3) It reloads faster than a 120mm
4) Is virtually invincible from the front
5) It fights the M46 Patton...

That pretty much was the IS-7 at the time it was designed.
This tank is an example of an EA-like mentality. Pay-to-win shit that you have to sink hundreds of hours, consistently (not everyone has that time) into, and furthermore, it's a terrifying example of what I fear is to come. The IS-7 is one of the scariest Cold War designs out there. It's tall-ass machinegun, and the amount of machineguns it has, it derpy in and of itself, but the concept of a tank that can bounce almost every single round thrown at it bar high-tier chemical rounds is a terrifying prospect. Honestly, with how much better than the T-10M it is, I'd honestly switch around the tiering for these tanks. Have this thing fight shit like the XM-1, or god-forbid the Leopard 2A4; and finally...make it available as a premium tank. If they want to make it a pay-to-win tank, at least make it an expensive premium at 8.3-8.5. No need to make it scary either, 'cause it's scarier than the T-10M.
That argument is flawed due to the simple fact it's still a large cannon with a slow turn rate a 10 seconds is a little slow for br but powerful pen even phly says it's capable of blocking a conventional round but not chemical or sabots and you counter it like a normal is 6 such as out running the gun out running the tank and flanking it's 8.3 mind you still fighting 8.0
I could swear there was no way to pay for IS7 parts in this event so it isnt really pay to win with cash, only p2w with time and sanity

Eonfixx I’ve got college coming up, I got 2 part time jobs for 5 days to sometimes 6 when I work at water plex. It’s not that hard, even with college I’m sure I’d be able to bust ass to get the IS7 cause that’s what you need to do to earn something sometimes, bust ass which is nothing wrong to achieve unless you don’t find it worth the time or are lazy simple as that.

yeah, i just quit it after reaching tiger 1, too many modern vehicles and too many mindless grind to reach a decent tanks, for anyone who trying to grind this right on the start, just dont, you either wasted hundred of dollars to unlock decent tanks or finding yourself mentally challenged while playing this game, WW2 vehicles constantly BR match with overpowered cold war tanks and even modern tanks with their HEAT and HESH or even Fin-stabilized kinectic ammo which gonna punch the shit out of your tank's armor, WW2 tank armor value just doesnt matter in this game anymore.
PHLY the guy to talk about a singular tank or plane from 2 to 8 minutes

The turret rotation means easy flanking like how you fight every is after the 85 flank hit the Gunner or Driver then hammer thier sides
Of course it's strong from the front that's how Russians designed thier tanks with amazing hold down ability
Karl Marx Dude this thing has better armor than the Maus which is .3 BR lower than it while being 10x faster (roughly as fast as a Leopard 1) and having twice the reload with 2 14.5mm MG's. This thing is BROKEN at its current BR of 8.0.

@@happyman2236 your telling me you got all 6 vehicles from this one without spending money? I ground around 85hrs, spent around 10$ and got 2 vehicles, it is a rip off not a refinement
I found the only people who enjoyedd this were those not wanting vehicles, just money from selling parts, I wouldnt consider that you had "completed" the event unless you got all 6, which should be possible.

The refinement comes in the fact that instead of having one large vehicle to grind you had 3 small ones (not sure where you are getting six, unless you went for two), meaning that if you only make it half way you still have two vehicles to use/sell.
Another thing that helped is the components did not randomise until after your third, making the whole thing simpler as you only got components you needed.
The whole thing took about 48 hours and I only really had one massive day of grinding.

Anyone else notice on Tunisia The other two IS-7 s being put down in rapid succession? One by a Chieftain at 17:59 and the other to a T 95 E1 at 18:07. Its on the kill feed to the right. According to the Stats briefly displayed at 22:20 one didn't even get a Kill the other did get 3 I believe. This video is more of a testament to Phlys skill than it is to the IS 7. He probably could have done better with something else. Including an AMX 50 Sur bias.
It doesnt have an magasine fed autoloader , it has a load assist , which is basiclly just a large tray from the ammorack to the breach , the loader still has to move the tray and pull a lever that roles a shell and a powder keg on the tray to be pushed into the breach , it just to ease the loading process since its big shells, it didnt have a much more impressive reload time in real life testing then none assisted tanks . Also the 130mm was insufficient to penetrete its own frontal armor so would be fun to play arcade games with i guess lol.

This is why the IS-7 is one of my ALL TIME favorite tanks honesty XD it's as fast as a good portion of modern tanks that WE use TODAY it's 130 gun can at least cause good damage to virtually ANYTHING out there THOSE LMG'S THO! XDD and plus it can take virtually anything the enemy can throw at it XD.

this thing was designed in 1949-1951 and goes toe to toe with 70's and 80's tanks
This thing is essentially USSR's maus, a highly experimental late world war 2 idea that got only to the prototype stage BUT had it been made it would have been insanely powerfull
Prior to playing War Thunder, I played World of Tanks, and if there's one thing I learned, its that you never shoot the hull of an un-angled IS-7

I don't know what to think about the IS-7. I killed 2 of them today. One I killed with Type 74, 2 shots with top shell from about 100m. The other I killed with STB-1. Took 8 shots with top HEAT at point blank fighting..
I will be so glad to see IS 7 instead of maus in test drives :D
Duuud, that's so funny, fighting against MBT's, when the similar to Is 7, Is 3(his twin brother) fought in WW2 lul. Immagine what Japanese and Germans felt. It looked like a impenetrable spaceship. Gosh the URSS was strong then.
Currently, the IS-7 costs $300 at gaijin market prices. Three. Hundred. Dollars (U.S currency). for a single tank. I mean, you get entire games that cost 1/5 of that.
As much as I love this game... there's a dark bitter double-edge sword in its platform. The custom tanks are horrid.
I believe that IS-7 is the prototype of T-10, the difference between those two tanks above is that IS-7 is more expensive to make.

Technically it wasn’t an auto-loader but instead it was an assisted loader, seeing as how there were 2 loaders in the tank and it was a small conveyor best from the bustle rack too the breach. (For history’s sake)

Anyone considering to grind tanks in warthunder. Just know. You will take over 1500 hours to even get close to a top tear tank. Also you will have to play 2014 2d maps hundreds of times. Have fun!

Interestingly Type-60 and Ontos may be some of the bigger threats, their HESH should pen its UFP, while most 105mm can not

Phly with all your influence why don't you ask War Thunder why they went through all the trouble to make a game so detailed in physics and historical accuracy did they not take the time to make each vehicle with correct sighting and appatures with detailed and working optical systems. In fact why don't they take it to the next level with the new generation of cloud based super servers and 5G just allow everyone to crew an actor position of a tank and form tank crews that join up with other crews in historically accurate battles. Then just to make everyone cream their Jean's they can use the same terrian software that will be used in the new Microsoft FlightSim and make the historically corrected time period correct terrain? What say you? I know, I just blew my own mind!!!

i used to play t54s which are 1949 to 1951, and i couldn't pen is7 at front...........the only way to take is7 out is to flank its side...........................and that's risky, reloading of a is7 is only 10 sec...............

The heavy construction is not so OP, except it is so fast! Thou it can pretty much only go forwards and backwards in streight lines.
