A couple of years ago I got to attend a stage fighting class put on by Adrian Paul. Fourteen year old me had the time of his life because I got to do EPIC TRAINING MONTAGE with one of my heroes. Forty year old crippled me was in agony for weeks afterward, but it was worth it. Especially because after the class we had a few minutes with Adrian where I got to tell him that, while I didn't have much in the way of guys I could look up to growing up, I had Duncan MacLeod. He got choked up. I got choked up. Then he muttered 'Jesus Christ, you're tall!" under his breath when we got our picture taken together. If/when I'm ever famous, if I have one moment like that with a fan I'll count everything worth it.
Was one of my Brothers and also myself favorite series . I think often of him when I hear this song or dust in the wind . He was a good soul, more like a dad .. miss you brother …

Of all the TV series that I've seen in more years than I care to think about, this one was in the top five. And I can only imagine how much fun it was to be in. So many eras, so many centuries, to be able to have lived through them all. Absolutely fascinating to consider. Great show. Adrian Paul was perfect in the part. As was everyone else! This made me cry big time. I can't stop watching it for the most part. It's a shame it had to end. So glad I purchased the complete series. I even loose sleep because the show and the music will not shut off in my head.
May the ancestors of old take me on high into the heavens until the very sight of this horrible world has faded from my sight. If God truly has mercy, then let him have it upon me.

What a clear and clean sounding voice! It's very rare and seems to come out of Scotland and Ireland only...as far as I have noticed...light, sweet and high pitched without any glitches at all

To me it would be very cool to be immortal and live through the centuries just think of all the historical moments to witness and to see places that no longer exist and how truly heartbreaking it is to watch love ones and friends grow old and pass away
Just visit a old grave yard where you can barely read the names. Then consider how cool it would be to be immortal. 5,000 + years of memories you can't forget and trapped in endless battle to fight that goes on and on. And consider Duncan's loss and heart break.
When you watch the world move on and change without you , as you have only the memories from when your time was part of it, you won't find it so romantic. As you watch all the places of memories get torn down for progress of new building that get torn down, places and business come and go from building with no respect for those that were there before..... To quote from the the book and film "The Lovely Bones" "... All this time I was learning to see a world without me in it..."
@Able Magawitch I would have to disagree with some of that being a Highlander fan. There is some things in life beyond buildings and places. But there are some places still worth seeing. The ocean is one of my favorite places. Doesn't really matter where you live. It always takes my breath away. Since I've started riding motorcycle. Riding out on country roads and watching the sun go down. Fishing is great way to escape and relax. There are some old monuments and buildings if you look hard enough or historical society buildings in every US city. The one thing I loved about Highlander tv series. The love of History and learning. But the most important part. Was living the best life.

Not taking girlfriends, wives that were mortal, avoiding making deep friendships with mortal,s because they ended the same. I love the show, but I do feel that Mac was unfair to Methos. Not only did Methos offer Mac his own head to ensure Kallas was defeated, but he saved Mac on multiple occasions - killing Kristen when Mac was too chivalrous (best line: "(I am) a man who was born long before chivalry was invented"), saving him from the dark quickening. But above all, I wish Tessa had stayed longer. For me, she was the one who was Mac's true love and I never warmed to Amanda in that role. But in the end, there can be only one..
I absolutely loved Highlander with Duncan. Miss it very much!

The episode were Duncan killed Richie by accident cause of some evil immortal broke my heart seeing Duncan cry for what he did!
That one made me mad.
I remember another episode where his friend killed a close friend, and he lectured him on how he shouldn't have let it happen.

It was an escape during a bitter divorce and it got me back into life after I was lost.
