your OSCP is so much more impressive than the CISSP but i guess you needed it to pass the HR-check. hehe

Thanks for the advise!
I love your channel name, its not gonna get you viral bro. Unless by viral you mean my trash ex. XD
Oh darn! Now I can’t quit my day job XP
I plan to take the CISSP at the end of December. I am currently a penetration tester. After CISSP (a personal goal of mine) I plan on finishing up my GWAPT course and doing the Burpsuite Certified Practitioner
That's great! Having a CISSP will boost your credibility as a security professional. Especially if you or the company you are working for as a penetration tester offers services to the payment industry (PCI-DSS). Only a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) can perform these audits. A CISSP certification counts as a prerequisite to becoming QSA-certified.

Thank you for providing the resources you used to study for the CISSP exam. I am pursuing the CISSP exam as I want to challenge myself both personally and professionally. By obtaining this certification it will help excel my career path to management. #giveaway
Excellent!
Great video, here is a question for you. For the books do you recommend physical books or ebooks like kindle? If so why one or the other for studying for the CISSP?
You know, when it comes to studying for something as intense as the CISSP, I've always leaned towards physical books. There's just something about highlighting and scribbling notes that helps the info stick. Plus, no screen means fewer distractions and less eye strain. But hey, if you're always on the move or prefer digital, ebooks can be super convenient. At the end of the day, it's all about what feels right for you.
Congratulations on passing your exam. I enjoyed your video. I gotta ask, which 3 resources do you think contributed immensely to your success in the exam. I see you recommended quite a few resources but if you could only pick 3, which would it be?
Hey Charles, thank you for watching my videos and I'm glad you enjoyed them! If you had to choose 3 resources, here are my recommendations:
1. Kelly Handerhan CISSP on Cybrary.it (maybe her videos are available on UA-cam too, not sure)
2. 11th Hour Study Guide by Eric Conrad, Seth Misenar, Joshua Feldman (refresher before the exam)
3. Boson Exams - ExSim-Max CISSP (this will prepare you for the real exam)
If you can afford 1 more, I think the Sybex Official Study Guide will come in handy as a reference guide. I hope this helps and good luck!
I have 16 years in IT experience (mostly as a network engineer). During Covid, I thought it was time for a career change and transitioned over to a Sec-Ops team within my company. Absolutely love it, but there's definitely a harder ceiling cap on moving up due to not having certain certifications. I even have an MBA, and the only thing that is holding me back from getting a future department lead position is the lack of a CISSP (and possibly CISM). Thanks for the video as I start my CISSP journey.
Your journey sounds incredible! It's so cool that you switched to Sec-Ops and are loving it. Don't worry about those certifications holding you back - you have the skills and the drive to make it to that future department lead position. Best of luck with your CISSP journey, and remember to celebrate every milestone!
everyone in sec laughs about the cissp but yes everyone gets it to pass the HR-checks. lol
Exactly what I was looking for. Specific, ranked recommendations... Fantastic...

Hey there! With a decade in IT under your belt, you've definitely got a solid foundation. The CISSP is quite advanced and assumes a broad understanding of IT security. While you might be able to jump straight into CISSP prep, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on the latest in security trends and practices. You could check out resources on areas covered in the CISSP, just to make sure you're up to speed. Beginner certs like Security+ could be helpful, but given your experience, they might not be necessary. The key is to feel confident in the CISSP domains. Best of luck on your certification journey!
Thank you for the tips! I have been preparing for the exam, hoping to broaden my skills and knowledge in the cybersecurity field #giveaway
The issue I have with ISC2 is stupid shit on the exam like who authored which framework... no one gives a shit... where's it applicable... what are the strengths and weaknesses...
I get where you're coming from. Having gone through the CISSP exam myself, I found that while some questions seemed irrelevant, they actually helped build a solid foundation in cybersecurity. Understanding the history and authors of frameworks can give you deeper insights into their development and applications. The certification has significantly benefited my career, providing a comprehensive understanding that has proven invaluable in various situations.
Hi there, i am in canada. I dont have any IT background however i got a certificate in fundamentals of cybersecurity recently and now i m lost. I dont know what to do next how to book this exam. Big question- am i even eligible to give this test
Hi Sukhdeep,
For the ISC2 CISSP exam, you need at least five years of work experience in two or more of the eight domains of the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). If you don't have the required experience, you can still take the exam and become an Associate of ISC2. To book the exam, visit the ISC2 website, create an account, and follow their registration process. Good luck!
After I passed the Certified in Cybersecurity exam, I immediately queued the CISSP for my target goal next year. This giveaway will definitely a big help on my studies if ever I win. Goodl luck to all participants. Many thanks in advance. All the best! #giveaway

Thank you for this resource! I plan to take the CISSP exam at the end of Jan and it's my lifelong passion being a cybersec professional. Having this credential will definitely bring me the integrity that I have the requisite knowledge and the competency to exercise the profession. #giveaway
Thank you for sharing your tips on how to pass the CISSP. I think you have already some cybersecurity experience and thus your were able to pass the exam in such a short amount of time.
Hey there! It's great to hear that my advice has been useful. Earning the CISSP certification certainly requires a lot of effort and dedication. If you're starting in this field, you should budget at least 4-6 months for preparation - the more time you can give yourself, the better!
do you need so many study guides to prepare for this cissp exam?
It really depends on your level of familiarity with the topics covered in the CISSP exam. If you're new to the material, you may need more study guides to ensure you thoroughly understand the concepts to pass the exam.
Congrats for your exam and your channel 🎊
Thank you! 😃
Congratulations on your CISSP certification and thank you so much for sharing your insights on CISSP. Very helpful! I have been in the security sector many years but recently I have realized the fact of holding a solid certificate. Thanks! #giveaway
You are so welcome!
I am new in cybersecurity field, after watching your videos i want to take cissp.
Go for it! Nothing is stopping you from taking the exam. Suppose you don’t have the minimum five years of experience in any of the two domains. In that case, you won’t be awarded the CISSP certification and will be recognized as an Associate of ISC2 until you fulfill that requirement.
Hi im watching from UK and subscribed your channel and need the give away as I aim to pass the Cisssp this year please #giveaway
Hi. You just missed the deadline and the draw has already been done and the winner announced. Thank you for subscribing. Keep watching as I will have other giveaways so be on the lookout for that in future videos. Cheers!
Hello Sir, can you recommend where should I get the CISSP Certificate?? I live in Indonesia. And it's so difficult to find it. Can you recommend ?
The CISSP exam from ISC2 is exclusively available at Pearson VUE testing centers and cannot be taken remotely. For those in Indonesia, you'll likely need to visit a center in Jakarta, as this is a common location for the exam. To schedule and find specific locations in Indonesia, please check the ISC2 website ( www.isc2.org/exams/schedule-exam ). Here's a search page for the testing locations. Type indonesia to find out where you can take the exam: wsr.pearsonvue.com/testtaker/find/testcenter/ISC2?locale=en_US
Best of luck with your exam! 🌟

Thank you!
that is possibility to pass it online ??
Hi! The CISSP exam can only be taken at Pearson VUE testing centers. They did a trial for online testing but found it didn't meet their security and integrity standards. So, you can't take it online. Hope that helps!
thanks @cloudsecque and one more question please if you don't mind i heard that CISSP certification requires 5 years of experience in cybersecurity field, is that correct ?
To qualify for CISSP, you need 5 years of full-time work experience in at least two of the CISSP's 8 domains. Your job title doesn't need to specify "security". For example, roles like IT Systems Administrator or Help Desk Analyst that involve managing account access or device provisioning count towards this experience. This can align with domains like Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Asset Security. The 8 domains are:
1. Security and Risk Management
2. Asset Security
3. Security Architecture and Engineering
4. Communication and Network Security
5. Identity and Access Management (IAM)
6. Security Assessment and Testing
7. Security Operations
8. Software Development Security.

@@aalansari8994 no worries, I'm happy to help answer any questions. Learning preference is different for each individual. I personally learn better through visual and audio, so that was why I found Kelly Handerhan's CISSP course much more beneficial as well as other UA-cam videos.
