I sat for the exam today and provisionally passed the CISSP exam on my 1st attempt. ONE WORD = Brutal!!! I sat for many different difficult certs before, BUT this was by far different. I read the official study guide 3 times cover to cover, thousands of notes, watched and listened to many different video courses and tutorials and bootcamps, etc etc. Practiced thousands of questions, but man, exam questions, the tone of it and the way questions were asked were a whole different world! Half way through, I actually thought that's it, the exam broke me as I thought the questions are giving me multiple different requirements, with a few answers which most seem being correct, and dropping the ball in my court to make the best decision and judgement. I kept pushing through and I was flying over the clouds when I saw the report! Go watch Andrew's 50 Hard CISSP question video, there are golden hints in there. I watched that only few days before my exam, wished I found it earlier!
It's good to learn that not really a lot is changing for the 2024 refresh as that means those who are at the start of it all don't have to worry about immediately seeing big changes during the study phase. But I am surprised by the fact that they removed 1 hour from the exam time and "only" 25 question, because by that logic, if 25 questions equal an hour, you would need 4 to 6 hours to answer 100 to 150 questions.
Based on experience is not 100% true, because, on the CISSP exam you need to remember you are living in a perfect world where everything is correct by the book. Your experience can misguide you there.
ISC² asserts that passing the CISSP exam is not possible without relevant experience, implying that those who pass possess the necessary experience. If that’s the case, why does ISC² still require candidates to provide proof of experience and secure sponsorship from another CISSP holder? Furthermore, ISC² defines the required experience as a standardized set of expertise established by industry professionals, not necessarily personal experience. However, gaining such expertise typically comes through learning, not solely through individual experience. Doesn’t this approach seem contradictory? If standardized knowledge is enough to pass the exam, why impose additional requirements?

If i have a voucher with the retake option purchased in January 2024, will my voucher be applicable after april 2024?
The voucher will tell you when you need to book and sit for your re-write by
You cannot pass the exam by studying alone....So basically you need experience, to get experience you need the certification? Catch 22 situation....
