I passed my CISSP exam today on July 9th at 100 questions on the first try ! This was an immensely challenging exam ! Watching Andrew's think like a manager video helped and so did TIAs bootcamp and his inclusive videos. That being said, this test is different ! Lot's of challenging situational decisions. As much preparation as you can do, sound managerial judgement is paramount in passing this test. Good luck to everyone and thank you for your passion for teaching Andrew !
I also agree- if this was a question I guess I would go with his answer because it is closest to the right number while having enough keys to satisfy the requirement… still a bad question
I passed yesterday! I have to say this was incredibly helpful. The idea of 'if you pick one, you're not getting the other' helped me decide on an answer more than a few times. Thanks for the help! GL all!
I passed yesterday my CISSP on first attempt. I discovered that video 2 days ago and it really help me put me in the right mindset. Thank you for your video.
I highly reccomend any one preparing for the CISSP exam to watch this video. I watched it about a week before my exam on March 28th. If I had more time between when I found this video and my test, I would have taken the full course. The material and strategy Andrew teaches is spot on to the type of questions and choices you will see on the exam. I passed at the minimum 125 questions. Thank you Andrew!
Would you say these questions are somewhat close in terms of format or difficulty? What other resources did you use? How did you know when you were ready?
I provisionally passed my CISSP yesterday and got my endorsement as well as the confirmation letter from ISC2, and I can honestly say that this video and way of thinking was seriously, I mean seriously the most helpful in helping me pass. I went from taking practice tests and continually asking WTF? to confidently attacking them and when I took the test, I can't count how many times the mindset in this video helped me answer questions I otherwise would have been stumped. Thank you Andrew!
Thank you! Knowing that did it will help me for my June 24 (in about two months) CISSP Exam schedule will be helpful! I’m also grateful for TIA for exposing me into “How to think like a manager!” Mindset. 🙏!
Just passed on my first attempt. I watched this video the day before the exam and truly believe it helped me to have the needed mindset when going through possible answers! The “if you choose one answer, you can’t have the other” approach to choosing between two viable answers was super helpful. I bought another course to prepare, but if I had to do it again I would choose this one.
For the longest time I just memorized the difference between the Biba and the Bell Lapuda models, I did not understand why no write down was important until today.
Andrew, I passed at 100 questions today and this video was instrumental in that result. I applied your techniques to every question. The fact that you put this out for free is amazing. I cannot thank you enough!
Just passed cissp 1st attempt @ 125q. This was very important on me passing. I am a construction project manager hoping to break into the industry with 0 experience. Wish me luck.

Passed the cissp exam today and can honestly say this video was key to understanding how to read the questions and how to evaluate which answer fits the question best. Keep up the great work
@@jaya2821 Tips for the exam, don't get down on yourself as the exam is draining and exhausting. Shouts out to this video! I provisionally passed my CISSP exam! I’ve watched this video months ago while studying and a couple of days before leading up my exam. TIP: stay calm and answer all the questions as best as you can even once you pass 100 questions. I answered questions up to 150 as my time expired ( a pass is a pass) 🤷🏾♂️. Watching all the comments about an automatic fail if you answer all questions lead me to believe I failed even before the exam was over. Was overjoyed to found out I passed! Hopefully this helps someone else in the studying/preparing phase to keep grinding! Huge thank you to Andrew for this video!
I provisionally passed the CISSP on my first attempt today! The exam ended right after the 125th question. It was hard and challenging. Make sure you know your stuff and understand the concepts. Kudos Andrew! Thank you!🎉

I passed my CISSP exam a few days ago on my first attempt with about 120 questions, and the tips from this video were key in helping me choose the best answers. I watched it twice: once when I started studying 60 days ago, and then again the day before my exam. Out of the 2000 practice questions I did, this was the closest to the actual exam in terms of question style and resemblance. Thank you so much for putting this together-it made a huge difference!

Thank you for this video I passed CISSP on first attempt last month. This is what’s needed for the ISC2 mindset please continue these for CCSP as well. Grateful !
Just like others, I found this video less than 12 hours before the exam. Definitely changed the mindset and helped me key in on specific words to solve problems. Many thanks for the extra tips and confidence to pass the exam!
Hi Andrew - I want to thank you for this video on CISSP Mindset. I passed the CISSP today. Your video helped immensely. It was not the content, although that was interesting and valuable as a security professional, but rather your guidance on how to approach the test and tips on answer choice, reading the question, thinking from the management perspective. Again. thank you!!
Today I passed my CISSP at 100 questions. This mindset training of how to break down questions and think like a manager was instrumental to my success. Thank you!
Q 24. Thank for the stupendous effort put in Andrew. However, the incident response steps listed in both the CBK and OSG is Detection --> Response --> Mitigation --> Report --> Recovery --> Remediation --> Lessons learnt. Since we "detected" the incident, the next step is "Response" where we activate the IR team who determine how big of a delay in the incident, how long the impact, whether to declare disaster etc. Hence, I believe that A. "Identify the scope & Impact of the incident" should be the answer
I would have cancelled out the first option as this is a Distributed Dos not just a DoS. There is more than one source. Also, the wording is horrid. The question specifically says "during the mitigation stage" but then talks about detect and response. It seems to me the best answer is B.
Agreed. This one is like the question 11 when it ask about the most important goal during DETECTION AND RESPONSE phase and his answer end up with Mitigating and restore? HELLO!!!!!!!!!! 😂😂 but sure his mindset will help a lot❤
I came to the comments section to see what people thought of this question. I agree with @jonathandvenport1172 How can you contain something tht you dont know the scope of? Can anyone elaborate on this one?
I have seen this video just before my exam day... in fact the previous night.. It helped me a lot to change my mindset and I am CISSP today in the first attempt. Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful knowledge for all the aspirants like us...

I just provisionally passed my test yesterday. How to think like a manager, and selecting the answers that encompass the other answers, were big keys that helped me get through it! Great stuff worth the watch!!
Just passed a couple hours ago! I listened to this video hours before sitting for the exam and I want to thank you for all the advice. While these questions were much easier than the exam, the mindset was on point. I like your style more than any other instructor I have listened to.
Thank you, Andrew, for this invaluable video. I provisionally passed the CISSP exam yesterday. The CISSP Mindset you discussed in the video helped me pass the exam.
Thank you for a great video that helped get me in the mindset. I watched this video and the "Why you will pass the CISSP" the day before my exam instead of cramming to give my brain a rest. Passed this morning on first attempt.
I finished this entire video and I must say that after completing all of the questions the key thing I've gathered is the CISSP mindset. All of my nerves are gone as I approach taking this exam. Hey Andrew, you sir are awesome! I want to say thanks 🙏🏾. I passed! This video helped me get in the right mindset and answer questions. God bless. I’m happy to donate or help in anyway I can. You’re an excellent teacher
I take my CCSP exam in 30 mins and I watched this video right before!! I got 40 Correct and 10 Incorrect. Hopefully, I am better prepared now and pass! Thank you so much!!!! Talk soon y'all!
Thank you very much for this wonderful video. I write my exam at the end of the month. After 12 months of heavy studying, this video puts a nice bow on previous learnings.
Taking a test in 5 days, these questions are really helpful to see a broader picture, although i have noticed that , when i tried to overthink and "Think like a manager" i have stopped being technical person, so i have answered wrongly.... Bottom line is, go with your guts, i would be more satisfied to make a mistake because of the inner feeling misguided me, than to try to overthink things, because it will be a disaster....
I passed CISSP provisionally today. Thank you for this great video with very helpful tips with practice questions. It was fun learning with you and feels great to have passed the exam too!
Thank you for this video and break down on how to analyze the test. I was able to pass Dec 27th and it was the best christmas gift to myself and a great way to end the year!
Just passed my CISSP today. Thanks for providing this content. The mindset and walkthrough of how to approach the questions provided the foundation I needed.
I used this video to provisionally pass CCSP today. The same concepts carry over from CISSP! Thank you very much for this video. I wouldn’t have likely passed without it 😁👍
I passed my exam today at question 145 and THIS IS THE VIDEO that helped me the most with the mindset and how to approach answering the questions. To be honest I didn't study that much but my ability to understand the questions combined with my technical knowledge and real world experience was super helpful. I highly recommend this
Thank you for that video which helped as the commens say many people. I also passed yesterday with 100 questions. What is 100% true is that nearly all of the questions are „best choice“ questions as you say it many times in your video - thank you for that, it helped me preparing for the exam. What I want to say is that many of your tips CAN help answering questions but the tips are also dangerous in a specific way. Especially when it comes to „taking the answer which is the most general“. This can be right but in 50% of the questions the general answer is not the right answer, the right answer is the most specific answer. So what I do think is, that if you have in the question a specific scenario you should take the most specific right answer - if the question is general you should take the most general answer. This is how I did it yesterday and seemed to work good. However, again thank you and good luck to all!
I listened to this video right before taking the exam and I have to say this helped me pass. I had the technical knowledge base, but this video really helped me understand what the best choice will be. Thank you so much!!!!
This video was great with helping me understand the mindset you need in order to answer questions correctly. It also helped me realize in order to get the correct answer, you need to know in detail WHY the other choices are wrong. Thanks so much for this amazing video.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this video!! It really helped me gain confidence to go for the test, I wasn't really going well on the practice questions and your line of thought really guided me to keep focus on the concepts and how to apply them - AND MAKE EDUCATED GUESSES! 1st attempt, 125questions with 50min left - thanks for the tip over time tracking as well!
I want to thank you for putting this video together. It helped me slow down, step back, and analyze the questions and answers more thoroughly. This approach made the biggest difference when I wasn't 100% sure what was being asked. I just recently sat for my exam and passed at 100 questions.
This is great information I'm studying now after taking my CYSA+ last month and taking my security+ years ago. I really have to focus on how the questions are asked because a lot of the information on the CYSA+ and Security+ is the exact information on the CISSP. Thank you for making this video!
I passed my CISSP yesterday at just 100 questions in my first attempt. RIP to my peace of mind voucher 😂Your video was instrumental and I am extremely grateful to you sir! The trick about choosing the option that encompasses all the other options was 100% on point. For example, in one of my questions i hastily chose “gray box testing”. Thank goodness i read all the options because one of them was “penetration testing” and then suddenly all the other options fit into it. My tip to anyone reading this is to just watch this video and really know your concepts. Lastly, read the questions patiently. Dont rush. Good luck mates!

Great Content. It gives a great insight into the mindset we need to have while taking the exam. Thank you for the questions. Loved your explanation on "GOAL" and how to pay attention to words.
Question 24 - the first step after detecting a security incident - NIST says (NIST 800-61): "The incident response team should work quickly to analyze and validate each incident, following a pre- defined process and documenting each step taken. When the team believes that an incident has occurred, the team should rapidly perform an initial analysis to determine the incident’s scope, such as which networks, systems, or applications are affected; who or what originated the incident; and how the incident is occurring (e.g., what tools or attack methods are being used, what vulnerabilities are being exploited). The initial analysis should provide enough information for the team to prioritize subsequent activities, such as containment of the incident and deeper analysis of the effects of the incident."
I passed the CC exam last week, which contained most of the questions like these. 😮 just found out this video today. I thought CC questions would be easier but they weren’t.
2nd attempt at exam coming up on 13th. It's really not technical at all. I'm on question 8 currently and he explains things very well. Time management is very important to think about for the exam. @126 I had 40 minutes left and it probably cost me the first test because it went to 175. 4 hours seems like a lot of time until you're dissecting their insane questions that appear to point definitively to two answers lol.

Just passed today 🙏🏻 All thanks to Andrew his tips really helped during the exam
You are the right person in the right place. This video might as well have 500 questions and I would watch it until the end
I somehow found you while I was looking for CISSP Information. I'm really glad to found your videos!
Thank you for this video. I watched the day before my exam and it drastically improved my thinking and got me the Pass first attempt.
This video was great with helping me understand the mindset you need in order to answer questions correctly. It also helped me realize in order to get the correct answer, you need to know in detail WHY the other choices are wrong. Thanks so much for this amazing video.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Passed provisionally last week, love this video, terrific insight.
I'm only half way through the video and feel i already learned both from technical and methodological views. Thank you.
Passed yesterday 14/04/24. Video is instrumental in shaping the exam mindset. Many thanks Andrew.
I just passed my cissp on my very first attempt and honestly couldn't have done it without you!! Thank you so much for the mindset video 😊
what material do you study
@oluwaseunadedeji7133 mostly the official study guide with destination crrt mind maps and the exam cram video and this one is a must!!
I passed today at the second attempt, and this video definitely helped with my approach to answering the questions. Thanks!
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
Congratulations. What material did you use? How long did you prepare for the second attempt?
I want to thank you for putting this video together. It helped me slow down, step back, and analyze the questions and answers more thoroughly. This approach made the biggest difference when I wasn't 100% sure what was being asked. I just recently sat for my exam and passed at 100 questions.
Right straight to the point, what I was looking for. Appreciate it
I passed my CISSP exam today and this video helped me a ton. Thank you!
Questions are helpful and well presented particularly on CISSP Mindset.
This is great information I'm studying now after taking my CYSA+ last month and taking my security+ years ago. I really have to focus on how the questions are asked because a lot of the information on the CYSA+ and Security+ is the exact information on the CISSP. Thank you for making this video!
Found the advice most helpful on how to approach the exam questions I passed today on my first attempt.
BIG THANKS ! This will certainly help me with my exam planned 19-th January 2024
how did you go?
@@NaveedAhmed26 I changed to 11/4 in April due to health condition. I think I'm scared that's why :D. But I do love this area!
My challenging domain is D1: Risk Assessment
This was a huge help for me. I managed to pass a few days ago at question 150. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I passed my exam. This video helped me answer the really tough questions where I was doubting myself.
Today I have cleared cissp, this video helped me a lot thanks a lot…
I passed my CISSP yesterday, your video and mind set help a lot thank you!!
Were they technical questions? Were these question close to the final exam? I have my exam in 4 hours :D
GREAT 50 CISSP questions for reinforcing some of the ISC2 CBK. It really helped me to understand how to approach a specific question, and how to think like a manager. Very helpful for exam preparation and building confidence towards exam day. I am waiting for part 2 on another 50 CISSP questions soon...
Many thanks for creating such supportive and valuable content by taking your precious time! Passed on first attempt. Just want to say thank you!
I discovered this video at the very morning of my CISSP exam, managed to went through 10 question but definitely gave impact to my way of thinking. Thank you!
Great Content. It gives a great insight into the mindset we need to have while taking the exam. Thank you for the questions. Loved your explanation on "GOAL" and how to pay attention to words.
I passed the CISSP exam today. Thank you for this excellent video I watched on the day before the exam.
@christiankyony what other material did you reference?
Just Passed! This was a great video. I got my CEH from you too, glad i discovered you again before I took it.
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
I have passed the exam just a few days ago, thanks for your help
Question 24 - the first step after detecting a security incident - NIST says (NIST 800-61):
"The incident response team should work quickly to analyze and validate each incident, following a pre- defined process and documenting each step taken.
+1 vote to do more CISSP videos like this, very helpful
Just passed the CCSP, very useful content. This video helped me a lot to develop a good mindset when facing the exam questions.
Definitively the greatest ressource to view as last miles before the exam. I am just provisionnaly passed the CISSP today
