Thank you Marina! This video is so timely. Usually this time of year with the change in weather seems to compound all other life stressors. But there's so much I can be thankful for.

Thank you Marina. I learnt a whole lot from you and happy thanksgiving to you and yours. For those that their triggers are the words or actions of their spouses, you have to have a sit down and talk it out. “When it seem like the world has turned the back on you, check to see that it is not you that turned” this here is powerful

That conversation about when the marriage or the spouse is the trigger will come in another video. Thanks a lot for mentioning that.

You're right; mental health is a crucial topic that often goes unaddressed in immigrant communities and we need to promote more open discussions and accessible resources. It's important for people to mentally prepare themselves before relocating as the idea of Canada is perfect and idyllic can lead to a rude awakening if their actual experiences don't match those expectations , potentially resulting in a deeper sense of disappointment or depression.

Nice one, Marina. Intentionality is the key. Being intentional about building our community, setting healthy boundaries, and protecting our mental wellness is very crucial.

I love my space but this is another push to get out there!! But how? I think I do not have the skills to connect with people…….. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Sometimes I feel people already have their circle and might not need me. I don’t even know again 😔
    Thank you as usual Marina❤

This was really insightful....this time last year, I had embarked on french learning journey just few months after my maternity leave. Today I'm glad to say Im currently awaiting biometrics and medicals. I'm grateful for a whole lot of things, one of which is the support system I had and still have around me. Thank you Marina. I'm grateful

Toxic resilience! Hmmmm. One of my shortcomings. I’m working on myself to be better at asking for help. It doesn’t come easily to me even though I give help easily.

Even the hand of Moses had to be upheld by Aaron and Hur( Exodus 17:12) , victory was certain
For Christians and Miss Independent 😅 who struggle with asking humans for help or receiving help, the scriptures have many examples were people were helped not by 'miracles' but by human helpers.
Even Jesus was saved from death by Joseph who ran away with him
Please prayerfully(despite bad experiences) lean on the strength, wisdom of others and be 'LEANABLE ' as well.
