It's fascinating to see how you've really got this garden coming together, from nothing to something. Well done, Sarah. You should be really proud of yourself, and as I say, Oor Sarah greenest fingers on the tube by far 👌

one way ive seen people do to kill weeds is use cardboard, not best looking but what ive seen works so cover a bed area thoroughly, overlapping your cardboard by 8 to 12 inches, and blocking any gaps made by box flaps. maybe weigh it down with few bricks over time no light the weeds will die and could even cover up also using mulch, its cardboard so it eventually decompose but it may be a useful trick if you already weeded but few weeks before you get around to planting. and with weeds you can make your own fert like you mentioned in another vid put in bucket with water pack them tight they decompose and release goodness and use liquid to fertilize the plants and whats left over on compost pile so weeds can also be useful to after you rid them as they steel the goodness out the soil they can also help put it back. few ideas you may or may not find useful

you may think you have weeds where you have planted but heads up so may first leaf look almost the same, first set leaves are called cotyledon, seed leaf within the embryo of a seed. Cotyledons help supply the nutrition a plant embryo needs to germinate and become established as a photosynthetic organism and may themselves be a source of nutritional reserves or may aid the embryo in metabolizing nutrition stored elsewhere in the seed. so its best to allow them to grow a bit so you see the 2nd leaves what resembles the plan you are growing as very small seedlings so hard to tell if weed of not till they get bigger

I know this is a bit late but maybe you will get the message sometime. I was told by my sister who is a good gardener that i must soak sweetpea seeds overnight before i plant them. Doesn't know if it is still the case.😅

You rent a plot of land on a council or private run allotment . Mine is a half plot so you can get plots twice as big . You use it to grow fruit veg and flowers . Ours is committee run so we have rules that they in force like growing on 80 % of plot , keep any grass cut , no carpets etc etc . I live in a terraced house so I don’t have a back garden I just have a back yard which is usually a paved area very small
