Sarah, when my husband died I lost my house and now live in an RV (caravan to you). I’m fine with no house, but I miss my huge yard, trees, garden, flowers and plants. Watching you at the allotment gives me such wonderful feelings of joy and peace! You’re doing a great job! Thank you.
Thank you I’m just glad you still have a roof over your head that’s the main thing . You can go to the park if you want to see flowers .
@@sarahsallotmentjourney I can watch you!♥️
It is pathetic isn't it?🤔smh! You don't need a husband.🙄☝️& if you had a good one?sorry for your loss💖🤔women need equal pay& rights.who is doing all the work? (most of.)That's Right! ☝️Women are the Real men.🤷♀️😝👍😎
I didn’t know you could use acrylic paint outside. Good to know. Thanks Sarah.
Yes will fade a little but doesn’t wash off
You can see such a difference every week, your doing great Sarah 🌷🌷🌷
Thanks I film every visit

Hi everyone.
Hi Sarah. I didn't realise the grass you strimmed was part of your plot too, I thought it was next doors lol. Love the cloches and hope the sweetcorn comes through. Well done on the rest coming through. Love the sign xxx
We have to keep the grass around our plots tidy
Hello.
Another enjoyable video Sarah, thank you 😊
Thanks
Sarah girl, you are very artistic and creative!!!
Thank you always have been a little like that I get it from my parents
Keep the straw around the plants it will help hold moisture and keep slugs off plants. Garden look fabulous
Yes it’s everywhere thanks
The flowers coming up from last year look like magnolias.
Oo thanks that bed is growing very fast
Loved the sweetcorn sign. Very nice.
Thanks
The only bit of advice I can give that works in all climates is don’t over crowd. I know your space is limited but it will produce well providing animals don’t eat the plants. I have been gardening for well over 50 years from very large gardens to my now small space. We don’t have much of a problem with slugs and snails but the ground hogs are the great destroyers. A ground hog is a large furry rodent. My husband caught 7 this year and took them down to the tree lined riverside and released them. Remember don’t over crow. There is a tendency to do so in small spaces. We also have an issue with bind weeds. We have planted our sweet corn in rows for years., just like the farmers plant field corn in rows.
Agreed so hard not to over crowd when stuck for space
Yay things are growing!
Phew !
Love your cute sign!! Good job on planting the corn!! 👏👏👏
Thank you
Shared on Telegram too. Lots of growers I know 😊😊😊
That is so kind of you it’s very hard to get a share so I really appreciate it . Real gardeners may not like my videos lol I would have to up my game
I just thought how we folks here in Ohio are: we need to walk out every morning to look at our garden, the allotment would not work for us. We do morning coffee by the garden in summer.😊
If I wasn’t working I would go in the morning . It’s a mile from my house where I only have a tiny back yard as I live in a terraced house
@@sarahsallotmentjourney right, I understand. We who have ground are so blessed.
Love your burner for a cuppa, your plot is starting to look good your chives I believe are spring onions as chives are much smaller with leaves only about 4-5 mm wide and up to 25-30 cm long and a mild flavour
Oh no they were sold as chives to me a few years ago I bought them because I love the purple flower lol
Can't wait to see the sweet peas start blooming.
May want to give the seeds a "good" watering to get them started.
Yes the soaking of the seeds is a good trick for next year
Its getting exciting now things are starting to grow. Beer traps are a good idea, you just need yog pots or something similar and put a drop of beer or cider in them and that will keep the slugs happy and merry. You do have to replenish from time to time especially when it rains.🌽🌽🌽
@@fairyacorn4854 all the time then lol
Hi Sarah. I look forward to these videos. Thank you for sharing. It is looking great

Hello thanks for watching
Your allotment is coming along great! Is it ever sunny there? It seems all your videos it’s cloudy!❤️
Lol no so far we have had about 7 days of sun I can only go about 2 or 3 times a week so if the sun is not shinning on that day it’s tough .
@@sarahsallotmentjourney that’s good I thought how is Sarah’s garden goin to grow without the sun,but I am relieved to know the sun does shine in Manchester!
@@deloradeabel8487 oh delora it barely shines here just every now and again lol I hope it works up soon or this year will be a complete wash out
