Sarah, you are doing an amazing job. You plot looks so very nice. I am buying hanging plants today got my back yard. Unfortunately I have a back yard is all interlocking all over my back yard but I am putting some pots either flowers on it. But you have done so much work. CONGRATULATIONS 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
A very productive day, the cane connectors are a great idea. The bunting looks lovely❤ and I need some strulch in my garden not seen it in any garden centres though.
Best advice for getting rid of slugs is Beer traps, old yogurt tubs sink them down level with soil, then fill them with beer, they find it irresistible, then the beer kills them, great video amazing progress Sarah and thanks for sharing your video
Aww Sarah you are enthusiastic about everything you do not only in your allotment but mudlarking and crafting too. Love Mondays to see what you do next. Thank you. Great jobs done today xx
Looking really good Sarah - is there maybe a bit of that rhubarb ready that you could harvest? That would make the plant a bit smaller and it'll grow back quickly. Yummy stewed on cereal for breakfast or mixed with cooked apple in a crumble.
HI SARAH GOOD TO SEE YOU ON HERE TODAY ,I COULDN'T FIND YOU YESTERDAY IN YOUR ALOTMENT GARDEN I REALLY LIKE THE LITTLE FLAGS YOU HUNG UP TODAY.THAT LOOKS GREAT.YES DO SOME WEEDING TODAY THEY WILL TAKE OVER IF YOU DON'T KEEP AFTER THEM.TELL MIC HELLO FROM AMERICA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
❤ it's really coming together Sara 😊 the bunting for the win 😊 your rhubarb is doing amazing! Mines fizzling out 😢 too much rain here. Take care 😊❤ *hey Mick😊* the tunes are very cheery 😊
I bet you can't wait for your strawberries. Though I'm catching up on things, as ive been poorly and ended up in hospital. 😬 So I'm guessing you've already been harvesting them. We have. They ripened a while ago. They are such a treat and so much more tasty than shop bought. A real treat. You can't beat a good fresh home grown strawberry. The allotment is looking great Sarah. Well done you. Xx
’m not a fan of that type of netting because the birds can get caught up in it. You can try next year to paint stones that are strawberry shape into strawberries. Leave them next to the plants and the birds will peck at them. They then learn that they’re not edible and once your real strawberries are ripe the birds leave them alone. Works for me.
When I had a garden I used netting on my peas for many years and caught only 1 bird. An "English House Sparrow", which in Canada are considered an invasive species, so no loss.
I love the bunting - i hope the strulch helps with the slugs - I've been saving my eggshells for my daughter to help her battle the slugs in her garden - nice episode - nice work
Please don’t put yourself down , considering you are a complete novice you are doing brilliantly . Anyway things do not have to be perfect or like a professional …if it does the job it’s a success. Well done, I am really enjoying this channel.
Hey Sarah, everything is looking good! Have you been getting some good growing weather over your way? I will have to Google the history behind bunting, we don't see it as a rule in Western Canada.
Great ides for the netting for the strawberries. I order a lot fromTemu as well. I had a question for you. I see a lot of people in the UK have allotments. Are they because some people don't have yards to plant gardens or what not? I was just curious. Anyway hope you have a great week sending lots of love from your friend in Michigan. Can't wait till the next live. Love chatting with you and Mick.
Ok now it all makes sense to me lol. 😂 sometimes I think k my yard is too big. It's a lot to keep up with. I didn't put a garden in this year. Hopefully next year. Right now I am still recovering from an accident I was in last September when I cartwheeled my wife's new vehicle 8 times and broke my back nearly leaving me paralyzed. I thank God nobody was with me and I didn't hit anyone. I'm just hoping I will be able to go back to my job soon at the steal foundry I work at. Miss all my Co workers and that feeling of normalcy. Hope you have a great week and can't wait to see you and Mick on the live Sunday.
